Rumour has it that Clan Smoke Jaguar didn't bombard Turtle Bay from orbit. They sent down a Union-C dropship full of subwoofers and blasted dubstep until the buildings shook apart from all the bass.
I can not complain when Jason Skye releases a new synthwave mix. Especially when it is one that I can listen to while eliminating Terra of the dezgra comstar spheroids.
this is fantastic, awesome mix as always! *snorts necrosis off null-signature thermal plate in the cockpit of my Osteon* *entire vision episode about Goliath Scorpion mix* soon.. soon.
Hopefully it's good. I was underwhelmed by MW5 and am unwilling to get into the MWO. I'd really like a return to the Mechwarrior 3 style of narrative campaign. I really enjoyed the "alone behind enemy lines" feeling it had.
I'm hoping it's good too, from the looks of things they've put a lot of work into the narrative. Not long to wait now 😊. Oh and I've found that mods make MW5 much much better
@@ciliap How recent is "updated?" I was playing back in March and it was rather tedious just swatting endless waves of small vehicles. The mech battles were not particularly inspiring as the AI enemies and allies just kinda ran around in circles taking damage and racking up massive repair bills. Most of the maps seemed uninspired and samey-samey, too.
@@ulrickts It's about the same, but in all fairness, older MW games are exactly the same. I just replayed MW3 and it was much worse than nostalgia made me think it was. Just swatting vehicles while my lancemates ran around like idiots and took damage. The only thing it has on MW5 is the customization system, but I actually prefer to be limited. It breeds creativity.
@@rmnlegion Thanks for asking! I'm really enjoying it too. A couple of performance issues, though I am really enjoying seeing they way they have depicted Clan culture, and the varied cast of characters are awesome. It's great to see Operation Revival from the perspective of the bad guys. I've just started the third planet. How far through the campaign are you so far?
@JasonSkye I've beaten it. And decided to do a whole new campaign to makes some batshit insane builds and try to get to every upgrade before the games. I honestly love the game. i agree on the performance issues. But besides that, the game is really awesome your definitely going to play the campaign more than once.
@@JasonSkye Battletech the Crescent Hawks' Inception was released 1988 for various 6502-based home computers, and followed by the Crescent Hawks' Revenge in 1990 (for MS-DOS systems). Battletech fans over 40 will have a certain nostalgia for them since we grew up playing those. Hence I recommended looking for any chip-tune oriented tunes. It'd be awesome if you found sort of a venn-diagram of the usual cyberpunk / new retro-wave stuff you tend to do crossed with chip-tune or SID-chip (the commodore sound chip)-based music.
Cheers! Ebon Jaguar was a close contender for the name. As the mix ended up being mid tempo and heavy I figured it would make sense to name it after one of the CSJ mechs that was big and lumbering 😊
Love MW5C, love your dark mix. But Dire wolf? Would think something around Smoke Jaguar would fit better. And why dosent Marik show up in the playlist you made?
While developed by Clan Wolf, the Dire Wolf was first produced by Clan Smoke Jaguar and they were one of the few Clans to field the mech in large numbers. The name also matches the heavy and slow vibe of the music 🙂
Turtle Bay ain't ready for this beat
Rumour has it that Clan Smoke Jaguar didn't bombard Turtle Bay from orbit. They sent down a Union-C dropship full of subwoofers and blasted dubstep until the buildings shook apart from all the bass.
Turtle Beach evidently ain't ready neither...
Jason is dropping the sick beats like Naval Autocannon Shells on Edo. Another excellent mix!
Critical hit; speakers.
Critical hit, eardrums.
Critical hit, jaw.
Absolute banger track my dude!
Haha thank you very much! 🤘
This banger of a track caused dishonorable melee! (I had to.)
@@Blueoriontiger As long as no-one saw, it can't get recorded in your Codex 😅
Smoke Jags being iconic enough to earn a legendary SECOND MIX? Let's goooooo!
Hells yeah, they worked hard to get another day in the sun!
So ready for this game!

Stop besting yourself with each mix, I can't keep up on which is my favorite! ❤️
Haha sorry! Glad you enjoyed it 😁

This mix hitting harder than the CSJ Sabre Cat's guns hitting the surface of Turtle Bay #neverforget #smokedjags
Hells yeah! 🤘 I can't wait to see what involvement the player will have in the Turtle Bay shenanigans in MW5:C
...Another fine work to deploy the unit to battle by! 😎🤘
Hearing Brigador Soundtrack was unexpected - but holy hell does it fit the theme so well!
The Brigador soundtrack is just too damn good!
This is playing when the Steiner Scout Squad happens upon an Assault Star of Smoke Jaguar mechs.
Hyper for an eventual Nova Cat mix with synth-y shaman drum and bass
That sounds cool! Never say never 😉
5:01 Absolutely brutal. Hell, the whole mix hit like a goddamn hell cat
GW2 META TRAIN BROUGHT ME HERE
I'm not sure what the GW2 meta train is but I'm glad you're here!
God holy shit this makes me wanna tear an atlas apart in honorable mech combat. Sick track! Im so hyped for clans
Im stoked for the upcoming game, i can't wait for whatever fine ass madness that the modders come up with.
Haha same here! I hope the campaign takes us all the way to Tukayyid!
BEST mix so far!
I know exactly what I'll be listening to on my way to work in the morning. Good job man!
Thank you very much, enjoy!

My computer could never handle it, but I'm excited to see how playthroughs go!
I'm super excited to see Baradul play through it, with a bit of luck the first episode will be out later this week
Just finished smoking some Smoke Jaguar MW3 style... Can't wait for MW5C!

19:11 Welcome Brigador
After the launch trailer, my expectations for this game flipped 180 degrees. I pre-ordered immediately!!!!
Hey Jason, there's a brief drop in volume at exactly 30:00, kind of like volume duck when a notification pops up.
Thanks for the heads up, I think you're right - a notification must have popped while I was recording. I'll double-check my settings 😊
I am so stoked for this DLC
It's a full-blown second game, not just a DLC. Can't wait to play it!

makes me think of MW2 Merc's heavier tracks, but produced with the Warthunder OST's audio range

Listening this mix and casually "bringing vengeance down upon house Kurita and their fascist regime", like beknown galaxy commander says)
Requesting a Clan Sea Fox and a Marian Hegemony one.
The first track kicks. (Surprised you titled it Dire Wolf, though, rather than Ebon Jaguar.)
Smoke Jaguar won a trial for it before Wolf could build them and it took about a decade before Wolf won the rights to build their own.
Seriously, there needs to be a mode for the MW games that uses your music.
