  • Nick, Jim, and Greg are taking a ride in Fuquay Varina to test out 3 windshield styles: Folding, Flip Up, and Vented. All materials are the same, just testing the styles. Watch everyone's rides and see what they have to say!

    Only practical use I see for a full tip out is shooting from the cab, which I find very appealing.

    Have a flip up Polaris windshield on my 2018 Ranger and love it. When the trail gets narrow you need to bring it down to the vent position. It’s very sturdy and well built. Driving on rough roads you also need to bring it down but still I wouldn’t give it up. 4 years and no problems.

    I like the flipups where there's a stationary shield on the bottom and the top. This obviously allows it to flip up but reduces the amount of shield that's up and out in front of you.

    With the flip-up…add a tethered handle through an eye hook secured to your dash so you can pull from the dash instead of reaching out.

      We do have a versa vent self-install kit that you can put on any non-glass windshield if you're ever feeling like you want that dream to be a reality... just sayin!

    I’m really torn what I want for my new can am defender. Leaning toward the versa fold. Front an rear! Definitely don’t want a tip/flip up. Just gets in the way and most are higher than the roof line when opened. And while the versa vent is nice it just doesn’t seem to really let any decent amount of air flow in, perhaps I’d just have to experience the versa vents to really see. But from all my research the versa fold is the way to go.

    I have a new general on order & with that I know first thing is a windshield. I’ve been looking for over a week at them now. I’m liking the half flip down like my golf cart. One thing I didn’t hear , does it want to bind any on the trail and scratch your hood? It looks really close or is there a rubber protection? Now I know there’s gonna be scratch’s & dings here & there, just don’t want to add more if possible. Thanks for a great video to

      Grizz Bear, our Versa-Fold windshields are captured and held in place when folded by rubber plugs, keeping the windshield off of the hood and secure. You can see the it in action on this quick video highlighting both or folding and vented windshields: ua-cam.com/video/HHfFwmQdCZY/v-deo.html

    I have a 2017 Polaris Ranger XP 1000 Highlifter Edition that i bought used and I noticed my bars already have holes cut out for easy windshield installation. Right now it has a half windshield that is screwed in on each side. I need to know what you would recommend for a full windshield.

      We have a vented (seizmik.com/product/windshield-versa-vent-hard-poly-polaris-fullsize-profit-ranger/) and folding (seizmik.com/product/windshield-versa-fold-hard-poly-polaris-fullsize-profit-ranger/) windshield for your Ranger XP 1000. The links provided are for the hard coated version. You can find their uncoated counterparts at seizmik.com/product-tag/polaris-full-size-pro-fit-ranger/ . We highly recommend going with the hard coated material if you are in an environment that requires a fair amount of windshield cleaning.

    On your vented windshield if your driving 5 mph or slower around you property in the Sumer. Do you get enough air flow to cool you down?

    • @Seizmik
      @Seizmik  2 роки тому

      Kevin, you can start feeling airflow through the vent at about 5 MPH. At 10 MPH, there is a significant amount of air flowing coming through the vents.

    Which one helps with moving dirt out cab

    • @Seizmik
      @Seizmik  3 роки тому

      Hey there, Dennis. Air flow is what keeps dust out of the cab, so the flip up style windshield in the full up position will do a better job at keeping dust from settling in your machine. That being said, the folding windshield does a great job also.
