I like to focus on the parts of a source that work best for me. There's always side plots that are needed for a movie to work but don't fit into a 3 min AMV. I like the challenge of working around those to make the parts that work great in the source material, also work great in an AMV. Anyway thank you for the kind words.

The project is currently on hold and i doubt that i'll pick it up any time soon. I'm currently preparing another Lupin AMV but that one will take me some time. I Am an artist/animator, and I was planning on making a recreation of the manga into a movie, that is, if I ask for permission to use katsuhiro otomo's content
That would be amazing but the budget for the movie was already insanely huge in 1980s Japan where the economy was booming, the anime industry was still relatively young and experimental, and people had the money to have fun and push boundaries. I imagine an entire faithful series would cost a fortune... (or it would just be heavily edited, cheaply animated and intensely disappointing). I'm just happy we have the mind-blowingly beautiful film and the brilliant manga... even if it does mean having over 2000 pages to fit in my small bookcase :/
