That is absolutely stunning! Simple, well made and beautiful
Definitely has a lot of the 2017 Victory Octane looks wise albeit that had more power and longer suspension travel, loved that bike.
I was thinking the same thing. Those were nice bikes. Around where I am OH/MI area you never see them.
@@thevtadventure1062 I’ve only ever seen one in Grand Rapids MI
Got one recently and I love it 😍 Only had 1700 miles on it so I lucked out. I do love the scout however. It’s a different more “chill” ride than the Octane That thing is a beast, lots of power from 3-4K rpm until redline.
@@Anton_G_604 definitely, they could have the Victory as a performance line and the Indian as a heritage line.
@@Anton_G_604 lol mistake? nobody was buying victory.
I've got an hour before my next meeting so I'm binge watching your videos.
Mini apes are badass. Thanks for pricing out the Scout with Rogue features. I'll keep this on my radar.
and yet they still cant give us a gas gauge.
100%
Just picked up mine this Thursday and MAN I love it! Coming from an Ironhead it's leaaaaaps up in comfort haha! Did keep the iron though
I’m a beginner - would you recommend it?
What a wonderful Indian Scout "Rogue" is! - and you never really feel that An Indian Scout has too little power. - Yes, It would have been cool with Indian Chiefs instrument cluster - and of course the Octane Engine (1179.00 ccm), as well as the USD forks from Indians FTR 1200. - But I think some of the mentioned changes will be found in the years to come. - I also think the FTR 1200 engine will find its way to the Scout - Meanwhile this is my absolute favorite Indian Scout. Rogue is the coolest, toughest, most stylish and prettiest bike in its class. - That is enough for me! The rest I will build myself. (That's half the joy )
Hahaha I've been calling it the Rouge since it was announced. I'm happy that I was mistaken!!
@@eddiewilliams1036 😅 😅 yes it was actually quite funny, like a kind of obscure French 80s movie "le rouge" - coming to a theater near you.

Really helpful review, cheers.
Just ordered mine today!
I think that Scout looks awesome!
Looks awesome!
Happy with my 2016 scout sixty, best bike I’ve ever owned!
Difficult maintenance is keeping me away from Indian.
Scouts are nice. The green colour looks really good. But I would like to see the Octane...Oh, that was Victory!
Thank you mr Bob!
Nice looking bike ! Indian has it right in the styling dept.
That green paint looks fantastic. I'm not a cruiser fan but I'm really liking what Indian is doing
I’m digging this too and I’m a supermoto lad
I have a scout bobber 60 in all black and love it.
Great looking bike pitty about the missing break disc from the front wheel
Not my style of bike but I like that! the rogue is definitely the best looking of all of them
Knocking these vids out toute suit! Do you ever sleep? Great stuff Bob.
Slate grey is probably my favourite but that could change in the flesh. Fuel tank same size. Interested to see how it compares to the Sportster S price & performance.
Very cool bike. Just what Indian needed now that the new lowrider s is available. Maybe if they added hard cases as an option it would be an even better competitor.
Indian makes some cool bikes for sure. It’s just the local dealership in Tulsa Oklahoma is just awful!! I actually went there first before I bought my Harley and I couldn’t get anyone to take my money for a new motorcycle!?? It was the most bizarre experience I’ve ever had at a dealership! So I had to pass on Indian as I can’t give something like that my business. The local Harley guys are awesome here!
Definitely all Black..Nice bike. 👊💪
Love the look of it....!
I’m all about the rawness of a bike! Tech is good for tech sake, but if you ask me, I love just hoping on and going.
Thank you!
Great video MOTOBOB!!
Thanks mate! I loved your bobber review - it blew up!
@@motobob wait.. you saw it!? 😍💪🙏🙌 that’s awesome man! Thank you! It means a lot coming from you! 🙏🙏
I find myself liking the Indian Scout more and more, and if i could have one it would definitely be grey. That beard is starting to look decent, you going for the rebellious look?
My 2004 victory vegas has a 25.2 inch height. Stock seat, stock rake, and stock wheel and tire size.
Dope straight out of the crate
Don't like the rad but it's not enough to put me off,m8 has one it's rapid, looking forward to when thay filter down to my price range
Does the louvred bar fridge on the front of the engine, actually manage to keep the Lucky Beer cool?
I love all black cruisers!
The scout sixty in storm blue is my favorite looking one for 2022.
I wish they had the Storm blue in the Scout Rouge. I would let them take all my money.
@@sew2prosper they do man! I just ordered my 2022 Rogue in storm blue today!
I love it- and I’m about to purchase one, however I’m a beginner and wondered whether it’s too powerful, I’m 180cm and 220lbs so I want a decent size cruiser and love this one. The sagebush green is the colour I’m considering to order- I could have it in a week as it’s in stock! Any advice would be appreciated! Cheers
Definitely like this better, vs. the standard chrome and tassels Indian is so fond of. Mini-apes definitely belong on this bike! But looks like they're just looking backwards to the Victory Octane (minus the performance upgrades) with the Rogue?
Good lord I love this bike. Looks so mean
As good as this bike looks, I still love my Octane.
Same here!
Dude I Have a standard scout and I want to know if I can put the 19 inch rim on the front with the standard fender
Think I'd have the bobber and just put higher bars on it. I prefer the blacked out look though.
I like it better with the big fairing.
Do you prefer the motor to the Harley 114?
They're building my stealth grey right now. The wait is killing me
Got to sit on one, saddly it's too short for me.(im 1.88m) Hopefully they'll incorporate aspects into their other bikes.
Victory Octane lives 👍💪
Minus the engine :P I do (always have) love the bobbed fender of the scout. For that price tho, it’s a bit pricey for me 🤷🏽♂️
Beautiful bike with a 240 rear tire make it cool 😊
I’m 5’1 never been on a motorcycle. Will I be okay on this?
Honda Shadow Phantom is the same or lower seat height but not by much.
The exhaust looks like you could hook up hoses and use them for acetylene oxygen welding
🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Always fancied one of the Scouts and this looks stunning. However the lack of dealerships keeps putting me off.
Don't know where you're at. They are everywhere in the South.
Tucson Arizona has one dealer and 4 four in Phoenix area.
1984 Kawasaki introduces the Vulcan 700cc (later 750), DOHC, 4v, V-twin, shaft., hydraulic lifters, 10" mini apes, 150x15 rear tire. Kawasaki should reissue with modern tech.
Good for a beginner?
What bike do you have now Bob? Apparently you’re giving the Street Twin away??
scout rogue or scout bobber?
my wife rides a scout bobber, with ohlins suspension on the rear, makes this bike soooo much better! I like this bike, wish it came with better suspension and saddle, both should be misdemeanors on a criminal charge! hahah great video man
Thanks for the tip on the Ohlins rear suspension, now I can price it all up. Cheers Salty!
@@maxcanez1563 hope it all goes awesome bud
That front disc is comical!
I think the Soft Tail Slim still beats it for lowest seat height.
I think
Octaaaaaane!
I just want the front wheel for my Bobber.
If they ever make a softail frame that looks like this I would buy one today
They can't, Harley has the patent but the rear shocks on the scouts and the Chief's kind of give it that look IMO. I am going to the Indian dealer tomorrow because of it. And FYI I might be trading in my 2018 Harley Softtail Heritage classic... Cheers!
@@maxcanez1563 o damn didn’t know that this bike would look so much better imo like a chopper drag bike
Looks like the Victory Octane.
That's a big surprise...🤣 Even the accessory tach is same that was available for the Octane...
So much a Victory octane.
1999 Harley Davidson fxr2 has a seat height of 25.5 inches.
Blacked out it is
its like a club bike made by indian 🤩
The Indian Scout was my first choice of a new bike; however, at 6’ and 200#, it always felt too small. Also, after watching a UA-cam video on routine maintenance I changed my mind. To replace the air filter it involves the tank removal (not hard, just time consuming), but to change the spark plugs, both the tank and the air filter box needs to be removed. Once the air filter box is removed the bikes splits into two pieces and the engine drops to the floor-way beyond the average individual skill level. I purchased a 2019 Indian Chief Darkhorse-easy access for all routine maintenance.
Seems like you’re basing your statement solely on a video. The scout is my first bike and I’ve already removed the tank and the air box with no problem. Time consuming? Yes. Difficult? No. I consider myself an average skill level and with a little research before hand, the bike will not split into two pieces like you mentioned, as long as you support the engine from underneath with a motorcycle jack. You can always leave one frame rail intact to keep the bike supported and take one off in order to slide out the air box. You’d know this if you have actually worked on a scout. To each his own. I’m just filling in the details you left out, and shouldn’t keep anyone from buying a scout.
@@4244john I mean, do people buy a new bike to immediately do their own maintenance while it's still under warranty? Definitely not why I bought a new Scout.
Oh god, oh no. I've been saving up for a Low Rider S, because I'm in love with the clubstyle look, and would people just stop announcing sick looking bikes already! It's even ~$5,000 cheaper ffs!
HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CHOOSE JUST _ONE?_
Think about the resale value of either of the two bikes and then pick
I would go with the Scout. But I'm also a fan of the lowrider s..
LR S appears to have better front suspension.
The exhaust muffler is hideous
STILL no inverted forks or dual-front discs.
If you could bolt on the Indian FTR engine into that Chassis, I'd be very happy.
Just please bring back The Octane all the way. Call it the rOgue. IOW more suspension travel.
I don’t like the single sided front disk it just doesn’t look right .
Just stand on the other side :)
A bit of a disappointment on my side. Is Indian using a page of Suzuki's playbook? If that's the only new bike from them, is Polaris giving up the fight?
No need to be disappointed with the 2022 models - The New Indian Chief has, after all, filled a gap in the model range - and soon a brand new New Indian Pursuit with the incredible PowerPlus Engine will enter. Indian Motorcycle moves faster than competitors and rarely has "childhood diseases"
Not my thing really, I know a lot of you guys love that style and power to you, i just dont wanna be that low. I do love Indian though as a brand but im a more FTR guy..
so no new cluster(gauge)........ and no cruise control at least the triumph bobber has cruise control
Rear- and frontfender are to short
Nice, beautiful bike but not for tall people ( up to 180cm . 5.11 )
Hmmm 1133cc semi crotch rocket motor.....vrod? But $11500 instead of $15000......I see why Harley dropped Vrod
But why did they put $15000 on Sportster S?
I got tired of long drawn out Sportster S reveal I went and bought a nearly new vrod 1130cc
The Bronx really excited me....dropped it before it began.......so because of this video I'm looking at Indian site and there's FTR
If Harley is doing a 975 Sportster S they better watch the price, Scout 60 is $10k
looks lovely but Indian could do with tidying up the radiator and ugly plastic cover. It draws my eye too much. Triumph did it to an acceptable level.
Pity it still has liquid cooling, digital displays, and makes the tach optional instead of stock.
There's a tach in the digital display.
You want them to go backward to air-cooled? Weird.
TL;DR- I don't think bikes need all of the technology.
I like analog. Analog is easier to work with. I have a digital tach on my Triumph and wish it were analog for simplicity of reading it. My liquid-cooled bike is hotter than my air-cooled bike. Liquid cooling is a more complex system than air-cooled, making maintenance without dealer support harder. I understand liquid cooling for supersports, but not on standards/cruisers/dual sports.
Nice one Bob !
Them silencers would have to go - look bl@@dy awful 😖
Love the bike. Hate the rims
Reviewing the Indian states “my only reservation…”
Me likey
looks an carbon copy of the Victory Octane!
Until they start making bikes for adults I have no interest, these things are so small I look like a sasquatch on a minibike. With the exception of the Pan America, Harley is the same. We need a few models that cater to men that are 6'4 or better.
Get shorter noob
Lowrider st esq.
everything black,
no tech... no buy... sad, it looks nice though.
Bike for the Daughter's of Anarchy ..
Not happy about the instrumentation though. It's 2022, analog guages shouldn't be a thing anymore.
It’s a scout with a small fairing. You can spend probably just over 1k on your scout and you will have a rouge. This is just lazy
And so much better than a Harley
Congratulations Polaris! Releasing a down powered, rebadged version of a five year old bike from you former brand and convincing people, even people whose opinions on motorcycles I generally trust, that you actually did something is pretty impressive...
@@morgan98801 True enough, (and I do love me a KLR) but I think the fact that they have managed to produce as much seeming excitement with what is basically a throwback styling exercise to be genuinely interesting.
(To be fair however, I'm also a somewhat bitter Victory guy, so I may be a bit biased...)
Yeah I’m bitter about Victory too. Glad I kept my Octane but if I do get another bike I’ll probably go with a Harley just because I have trust issues with Polaris.
@@morgan98801 what are you even talking about? I'm not a Harley guy, but what about the Pan American and the new sportster S. Pretty drastic changes for the MOCO if you ask me

Never getting rid of my Octane. Still one of a kind! Buy a used Octane and save 3000-7000 and still blow the wheels off the New Rogue! Sad even the parent company that killed Victory is still trying to stay alive with an old Victory Octane clone.
"Trying to stay alive."
The Scout is Indian's bestselling model. Get over yourself and your silly, failed brand lol
I've never cared for the Scout and that ugly fairing doesn't help. Still has that exhaust that is a mile too long also.
False advertising. Everyone knows they can't get black heat shields right now.
To much recall brand..
Scout's just need a gas gage
cheap version of the Low Rider S (don’t like it)
