Thanks for those tips, Steve!!!👊🏻Years ago a friend of my was teaching me how to use the buzzbait & the first thing he said was " Need to get the bait up out of the water quickly". Like the tip on the retrieve, will surely give it a try the next trip out on the water!! Stay Safe & God Bless!!!!
I take a bit of the slack out of the triblade, and small single.i remove the rivet, and shorten up the blade slop, spin it against the rivet after roughing it up, they squeel, and work nice. No slop, starts up quick, and sprays water and squeals 💥🎣👍
I purchased a small buzzbait like the one in your hand near the end of the video. It fits in my small organizer and I like it for the small urban creek fishing.
In my early years of fishing I only used spincast reels and switched them to lefthand reeling to help get my buzzbait on top of the water quicker. Nearly 30 years later and I can only retrieve lefthanded now
Thanks for the video. I know exactly what you mean about pulling the buzz bait. I can accomplish this when I started using left handed reels (I don’t have to switch hands to engage the reel.) you can pick the buzz bait up exactly when it hits the water. I’m right handed this left hand reel is natural for right handed people.
I only use the triple blade from Norman lures have for years....it is quick to the top easy to retrieve super slow or fast.....I haven't used any other since I starying using the triple....
We are doing well! Leaving for CA soon to officiate a wedding. Pray for me. I’ve never done that before. A little nervous, anxious, and excited. Pray your family is well and catching some bigs.
I just bought my first buzzbait and have started modifying it. Slowly I have added lures and techniques to my arsenal. Would like to see a vid on the effects of different trailers on the back of a buzzbait, please.
@@SteveRogersOutdoors swimjigs are still new for me, I dont have 100% confidence in them yet. hard minnow baits like the Rapala original floater have worked for me since I started fishing… But I will say that jerkbaits have started to really work for me this summer.

Thanks For explaining your experiences and your time.
You’re welcome! So many great anglers have helped me, passed along their knowledge and I have been so thankful for that. A true blessing.

They definitely let you get the lure up very quickly!

Those triples are nice blade setups. It is amazing how big some of those blades can get too!
Thanks Troy. I don’t think I have any from Norman. I’ll try them out.
Hey , Steve, great to see ya. Pray you are well and catching a lot of fish

Thank you Steve.
You’re welcome! Thank you!
The buss bait needs to be retrieving before it hits the water.
Is it my imagination or do those 3 bladed models start spinning and get on top quicker? I’d love to hear from you and others. Thanks Steve.
That is a really great question! I haven’t put that to the test. Sounds like a future topic.

@@funkymojo111 I love adding a toad. Nice sleek, compact package. It would be interesting to see what other trailers do.
What are your top 5 searchbaits
I would have to say a swim jig, crankbait, walking topwater, a Carolina rig and a hard suspending jerkbait.
