Just wondering if you know of "Spring for flute and piano" This is also composed by Herman and a particular favourite of mine. Worth checking out if you have not heard/played it yet. The "Spring" Flute Solo you've mentioned, I'm not familiar with actually but I would love to check it out and possibly program it. He is a fantastic composer. Thank you again! :)
I have just listened to "Birds" for flute trio and what a great piece to have included in your recital. You can really imagine the birds having a conversation and just enjoying life to the full, fantastic composing. Music is such a powerful medium to communicate through, it knows no bounds and can be understood by all. I wish you every success in your flute journey.
