You're right...women are empowered to do the things that men do so that means that the things women did in the past were of no importance which is untrue.... On the other hand if we're empowering women to do everything men can, then why not empower men to do things women did? I completely agree with this women. Although past laws were quite oppressive for women, they really aren't now. And it's true because of that women have some catching up to do as far as contributions to society. That's okay. It's sad that people equate things like strength, IQ, EQ, etc with a persons value. And therefore they use that to falsely label people. Men aren't stupid, neither are women. Men use physical strength, women use mental (emotional + logic combined) strength. Men tend to be better at math, women are good at English. Men are better at things that require less emotional intelligence (and more raw logic) while women succeed quite well at jobs that do require emotional intelligence (and less raw logic). She pretty much nailed it, she sounds like my grandmother, she was very educated about life too. She pretty much said what I was going to say in a few short sentences. I completely agree with this women. Although past laws were quite oppressive for women, they really aren't now. And it's true because of that women have some catching up to do as far as contributions to society. That's okay. It's sad that people equate things like strength, IQ, EQ, etc with a persons value. And therefore they use that to falsely label people. Men aren't stupid, neither are women. Men use physical strength, women use mental (emotional + logic combined) strength. Men tend to be better at math, women are good at English. Men are better at things that require less emotional intelligence (and more raw logic) while women succeed quite well at jobs that do require emotional intelligence (and less raw logic). None of that makes anyone less than the other.

Great stuff Sasha and Becca! To me, this is all a communication problem, as what we need is quite counterintuitive... "we all" need to "come together", but do so as (strong) "individuals" (reducing our reliance on others, authorities, the government, etc over time). I don't have a solution to this. I know free speech is needed an absolute so we can figure this out in public. And I know I act this out in my own life, but I have little faith this will become the dominant culture. If anyone has any ideas let me know!

She pretty much nailed it, she sounds like my grandmother, she was very educated about life too. She pretty much said what I was going to say in a few short sentences. I haven't seen a bunch of women walking around accusing men of rape all over the place either, yes I'd say there are a big group of women right now that go through abuse, but a lot of it goes unreported. I guess in some of my life situations I just let things go, I had to be a big girl and move on, because when I lived in the past, I was never able to move forward.
