I am Italian and I’ve been supporting them since the very beginning. They have already said in different interviews that Italian people are not supporting them at all, but that’s not true. There are plenty of Italian metalheads like me who are actually supporting FrozenCrown (and also all the great Italian power metal bands that have become huge in the last couple of years). We listen to their albums, watch their content on UA-cam, attend the live shows, especially in Italy, and buy their vinyl. I think that saying in different interviews that Italians are not supporting them at all could piss off the many fans from Italy who love good metal and are actually supporting them. It’s true that metal music in Italy is not mainstream, but that’s the case in most other countries as well. Back in the 80s and 90s, it may have been different. I remember in high school, everyone was listening to Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, and Iron Maiden, but times have changed. It’s not just a matter of Italy; I think this applies to most other countries too. Unfortunately, nowadays, metal music listeners are a small niche, and the numbers of albums and tickets sold, as well as concert attendance, are not what they used to be, in Italy, in the U.S. or the rest of the world.
Hey there, of course we love our Italian fans and they are EXTREMELY supportive actually! In general what we say is not about Italian metal fans, but Italian metal "addetti ai lavori", webzines, promoters and such. That's what we always said about Italians, as well as (I'm pretty sure we said that in multiple interviews) we do our good share of live shows in Italy with A LOT of super happy and enthusiast people, and those are the people we love! I am also pretty sure I often referred to "a little bunch of sad Italian metalheads" (also cause the haters are always the same 3 or 4 people). Very sorry if I sounded like I didn't specify much here, of course I am talking spontaneously so most things don't sound as they would had sounded if you thought more about what to say. On a side note, we have got quite a few shows in Italy next year, on which we wouldn't be working on it we hated all Italians!
as an italian I can say that unfortunately federico is 100% right about the attitude we have in our country towards new music, new artists and metal in general. Sad
I'm really looking forward to seeing them live later this month 🤘
