I enjoyed this live stream very much. The entire area of Kachidoki is spectacular, it's so scenic and relaxed and it seems like such a perfect place to live. It was really nice walking with you around this peaceful neighbourhood and hearing about the history and changes it has gone through over the years. I really love that hoodie sweater! Thanks so much for this, John. Lots of love to you and Kanae❤🇯🇵👍
I like these videos that introduce city’s sceneries. They are informative and I can feel I am walking right there. Also there are always new places I found in the videos like Kachidoki View Tower and Toriton Square.
Beautiful view and narration. I still remember watching my fav anime 'Kochikame' as kid where the main character Kankichi opens the Bridge because everyone was sad about the orders of never opening the bridge again. It's one of my fav episode Thanks for showing it and sharing the history behind it. Request: If you could make a tour of Asakusa area. Best wishes.
@@onlyinjapanGO With over 1million subscribers you should be used to this kind of surprises everyday. :) Was a real shock for us too, but it was really nice to meet you guys...hope to bump into you again next time!
I love swings so much. You’re right, they should have adult sized swings. When I was a kid they had the really tall ones with a flat rubber seat. Maybe they weren’t safe and that’s why I don’t see them anymore. Swinging on them at nighttime was my favorite. FYI I’m a child of the 90’s so it wasn’t so long ago.
I can imagine how packed Tokyo is going to be in 2020 for the olympics! That’s why I’m waiting to go to Tokyo for the first time in 2021 ❤️ can’t wait!
Tokyo is such a beautiful city... thanks for showing it to us. It is also so spotless clean. I bet if a piece of garbage hits the ground guys come out of hiding, clean it up and go into hiding again like in Disney World... LOL The only thing I would change is more greenery and colorful flowers.
Hi John do you think you can make a video about the bikes in Japan i find it interesting when you walk around and there is bikes with seats for the kids both in the front and in the back, i think once i could see someone was using like a rain cover or so over the child seat. Do you think you also can make videos about how the life is like in japan with kids? Like activities? nursery? schools? what the kids are doing after school and the days off? And how is the life in the schools? I love everything we can learn about the Japanese life and i miss more topics about the family life. Keep up your good work i love all your videos.
I'm looking forward to the package! I'm in a process of making my passport, don't ask why I didn't make one sooner, but $300 AUD for ten years one 😅 and your video give me ideas of where I would like to go
(I'm guessing you found a bike you liked when describing shopping. It seems a lot of Japan bloggers ...buy bikes with varying degrees of success. You should ask followers for expertise if you don't know anyone locally. I may be a bit out of date, having not had much use for riding where I live now, but Fuji has never let me down when it comes to budget road-oriented bikes, being a generally low-budget former urban bike messenger. Usually what you want to look at is actually the geartrain. Reasonable quality there usually means the fidgety gearshifting won't start messing up on you after a couple weeks of use. Usually 'decent quality' will look more like more cast aluminum than pressed steel. (Which doesn't mean everything pressed steel is junk, especially in a city bike where no one cares about weight that much, but it'll be harder to tell. )
1:03:43 that car...the one that is raised up, its well known in the car world. Thats a nissan skyline gtr r32!!! Rare and powerful. even better than the new nissan gtr (r35)
Brompton bike it's a good invest for life John, it's very convenient folding it take metro bus or in your rental car etc... bring and range it the appartement too in Tokyo it's a plus! Next time I'll go to Japan I'll take it mine and that I'll visited Tokyo with for sure, I am still love metro but by bicycle it's another POV. Thank you for your interesting advice to not ridding on the trottoirs, even if people used it.
If you hit someone accidentally and you’re on the sidewalk, you are liable as the rider. If you hit someone and they’re in the bike lane, you are not (so much).
Yes indeed our bikes nowadays have a low bar and is quite likes by males also but the small ones you showed we call them Vouwfietsen convenient to fold and carry on train specially for the ones working out of town but bikable distance from the station
I was in Fukuoka 10 days ago. I’m sure I’ll be in another location soon. I fill in main channel shoots with the GO episodes :) so I can cover more of a location.
Dorothy Louderback thanks for the message too :) not sure I want to make another episode on the su just for a while but I’ve put it on my list of ideas 💡
How about like also like take the bus stops numbers or bus stop locations etc .... for example, I would prefer to take a bus from Ginza than a train as we can see more from the bus....even for the nihonbashi tour...thz
You are supposed to, yes. Not on the sidewalk with people. If you run into someone, it’s always your fault even if they ran in front of you. That’s why there’s a bicycle lane - but I’ve seen even police not do this so ... please be careful.
lalilulelo okay!! But , early evening for who? Me or you - because I don’t know what early is for everyone 😂 this time, everyone in NY is asleep and California going to bed but it’s a nice time as the sunlight is changing over the hour. A little later on clear days can turn into something pretty - a sunset!
Wish you could feature Foodie places like you did with Trevor James and not just eat from convenient stores or ordinary Takoyaki stalls or Food Courts...I want to learn about destination restaurants in the neiborhoods...

Maybe one day camera's such as Nikon could have 5G capability in order to livestream much quicker than generic smartphones. Problem with that is also the conventional computational processor that can't handle 4K livestream, computers aren't that fast, but alas Google has reached Quantum Supremacy quantum processors can read 4K an 5G much quicker, it will take 5 years until that research is made public and to consumers.
Mo A nah, if the camera can capture it, it’s all about the connection speed and how the other end handles it. A smartphone can stream in 4K but the connection can’t handle it yet. 720p is safe and won’t look blurry should the connection get weak somewhere. The best option is to save the video locally and upload later to UA-cam from the device, replace the old streamed version. I know the app team is working on improvements :) the tech is sure to change fast!
Streaming in a normal camera is nice but I can’t see the live chat :( and it loses that special feeling for me and other viewers not to have that. I’d have to rig a screen to it and communicate so in the end, this is a pretty good option over the traditional digital camera.
@@onlyinjapanGO That is exactly what i mean the current processing unit in the phones cannot handle the 4K livestream due to the weak cellular connection. UA-cam just needs to improve it with etc coding tweaking to expand on the feature of wide zoom, once a time panoramic views was the new kid on the block on smartphones.
@@onlyinjapanGO thanks for the reply, by the way check out Google's advancement on Quantum Supremacy it will take another 5 years for that product to be condensed into package for consumers so one day a fast processor can bring captivating 4K beauty of the grains and personality. but that's just me.
