About 20 years ago, I was sitting on a picnic table at during Rosedale's Mayfair, at Rosedale Park in Toronto ( 20 Scholfield Ave. ). Mayfair is a big annual family event, in one of Toronto's most elite neighbourhoods. I was there with my girlfriend and our 7 kids, and I noticed, sitting on a picnic table nearby, the original Kids In The Hall Head Crusher, Mark McKinney himself. I started "crushing his head" for 2 or 3 minutes until he turned to look in my direction, and saw me crushing his head. He smiled and nodded at me. It was glorious. Good times. I love Kids In The Hall.
I love how before the head crusher even knew what was going on, he could tell the happy couple walking across the street already had crushed heads. Now that's an expert.
Well that wasn't the first moment in the sketch where it suggested the head crushing was actually real in some sense, the guy was about to crush the heads of the couple and observed they had already had their heads crushed. Even though he looked intact. Maybe they were crushing souls or something. But if it wasn't real, how did he know there was another guy there then? It is a nice twist and addition to the original sketches where it seems they're just crazy. These 2 individuals had actual powers, and when the original one "crushed the head" of the new guy, I guess the new guy lost his soul crushing power. This should be an anime or something.
I did this on a date. He wasn't amused. I "crushed his head" and left. Met someone who countered by "pinching my face", and I am still with him after 16 years. Never settle for someone who doesn't have a sense of humor.........
+Missy Rabbit Man, I wish I'd pulled that move on a dreadful date I once had, just to see the look on his face. That was a long half hour that I'll never get back, and a good head crush would have made it worthwhile!
MsDonttrythisathome had a friend who went on a blind date with a good looking guy with money (he made a point of everyone knowing he had money). He took her to a fancy restaurant and then just talked about how amazing he was, all his coworkers were idiots, making racist and misogynistic comments. Every time he said something rude or ugly, she called over the waiter and quietly ordered something more expensive. The guy wasn't even paying attention. By the time the check came, he was too embarrassed to complain about the bill. She treated all her friend's to some yummy leftovers and he never called again.
I was lucky and had cable in my bedroom in the 90's (and late 80's) Kids in the Hall was my favorite show and I got to watch without my parents. Thanks mom and dad. And thanks for the TV and cable at such a very young age so you didn't have to deal with me and it shaped my extremely warped view of reality causing me endless social awkwardness and drug addictions. Best Parent Ever.
Always loved the Head Crusher - when it was first shown on UK TV, it was the first time I realized other people had thought of the same thing I'd done as a kid. "Never mess with a pro, buddy!"
2:11...…. Not only is the head crushing skit one of the funniest things a college age guy and his stoned buddies could see back in 02, but this moment, where he mimes.....GENIUS
I showed this to my 15 year old the other day. When it was over, she was like "Oooookay." I did however get her into the Jiminy Glick interviews. Those she loves!
I liked the pinching-faces guy better! He lost because it took him longer to get set up. "I'm pinching faces! Something wonderful I invented. Thank you, thank you!"
you are correct...he voiced the Purple Tallest on Invader ZIM and Waffle on Catscratch. And, he is also "Pastor Dave" from That 70's Show...I'll go slink back into my geek cave now ;)
Great memories of catching this on HBO every Friday night some 30 years ago. My girlfriend just came in using her hand to ask me for a little bit of weed, and I immediately asked her if she was trying to pinch my face. : )
So watching wrestling tonight I was at double or nothing weekend the wrestler danhausen if he ever watched Kids in the Hall if he was ever inspired by them he just used this reference watch the show Amazon Prime or UA-cam use this tonight
I swear, a school mate and I recreated this sketch on the playground? I mean, watching it just now awakened *some* kind of lost memory... I do remember doing the "I'm crushing your head!" bit all the time

Mark's scream and the dramatic music at that final tragic moment.

Wait a minute...😆
I can't believe no-one commented about how he was able to push the pincher's fingers apart. That was brilliant.
I'd have been even more impressed had the face pincher placed a sharp object between the fingers of the head crusher during the fight.

That was the funniest part of the whole skit
@@raineyhayes3821 now we're talking a movie
Most memorable Head Crusher sketch for that very reason
I grew up watching kids in the hall as someone from UK there was no variety like this programme, and still isnt im glad their back 🎉
I did this on a date. He wasn't amused. I "crushed his head" and left. Met someone who countered by "pinching my face", and I am still with him after 16 years. Never settle for someone who doesn't have a sense of humor.........
***** LOL! hey...would you mind if we named one of our new chickens Crunchy Peanut Butter? It is a cool name.

That is a wonderful way to approach life and to choose a life partner. Congrats!
WAIT A MINUTE!!! THAT HEAD HAS ALREADY BEEN CRUSHED!!! - I still use this to this day, if you understand we are insta friends lol
I loved this show. 2020 and I'm still crushing heads and pinching faces
2022 - passing the powers on to my daughter
@@staytuned2L337Same. To both my daughters.

"There is nobody haome!"
This will go down in history as one of those epic battles of Good vs. Evil
Which one is evil.
"one of those epic battles of Good vs. Evil"
Arguably, it was Evil vs. EVIL.
In reality, it was two nerdy Eastern Europeans fighting for turf rights!
epic battle of horizontal vs vertical
Wow just take me back already really I want to go back
@@allrightFrom my point of view, the face pinchers are evil!

"Never mess with a pro, buddy!"
I was feeling nostalgic, and this was the right place to be.
Yeah right, I had forgotten how much I loved this show when I was 9. It’s still as amazingly weird as I remember it.
My teen years thrived on this show.
Kids in the hall never gets old. Good times waiting for them to come on tv
I cant imagine the thought process to come up with this character.
2:11...…. Not only is the head crushing skit one of the funniest things a college age guy and his stoned buddies could see back in 02, but this moment, where he mimes.....GENIUS
His overblown reaction to having his head "crushed" at the end always kills me, hahaha.
Every time, I completely lose it at that gasp at 2:08.
I know me too! So funny, love these guys!
Decades later, I still triumphantly say "Aha, I've got you now!"
My siblings and I did this for a long time...thank you Kids in the Hall
Omg I loved this sketch when I was a kid!
Kids in the Hall, especially this skit, should be studied in every sketch and improv comedy class.
-don't miss with a pro, buddy!
-I'm not your buddy, Friend!
-I'm not your friend, guy!!
I'm not your guy, buddy.

What a classic! My 4 and 3 year old are all over this, 20 years later.
I showed this to my 15 year old the other day. When it was over, she was like "Oooookay." I did however get her into the Jiminy Glick interviews. Those she loves!
One of THE best skits of all time!! 😂🤣😁
Shows like this in syndication made Comedy Central the best in the mid 90’s!
Now it's going to become all adult animation
thanks to Canadian Broadcasting Corp and good old Canadian tax dollars! Happy to have invested in bringing the Kids to the world.
I liked the pinching-faces guy better! He lost because it took him longer to get set up. "I'm pinching faces! Something wonderful I invented. Thank you, thank you!"
This is my favorite skit from kids in the hall ever! xD

EVEN by their standards-THIS-IS-GENIUS!
Not as genius as their "hey Einstein" sketch.
I remember watching this when I was babysitting, it was so freaking funny I almost Peed my pants
As a kid I thought he was squishing their face not pinching. Our tv sucked.
The lawn chair kick sells the whole sketch.
NEVER MESS WITH A PRO BUDDY!!!
Mark's scream is hysterical.
i remember watching this on cbc when this episode aired!!
man I forgot how great these were
A man's got to know his limitations....never mess with a pro..
I think this was like one of my favorites if not the best for me
I swear, Kids in the Hall was the best show!
man I miss the kids. *sigh* oooh happy youth lol
one of my top 5 KITH skits. So funny to this day!

And 30 years later, he went on to manage a Cloud 9 Superstore.
Its already been crushed!!!
Kicked his chair over 🤣😂
This is how avengers should have ended
Squish. Brains all over the place. Oh my goodness.
Man, I haven't crushed peoples heads since kindergarten, crushed a face pincher here and there.
Always makes me laugh when he's on the ground and screams like a girl.
Can you imagine if this was real and you were passing by this turf war on the other side of the road?
i still do "squisha yo head!" even today. i don't even know what year this came out here in the US, but i know it was a LONG time ago lol.
There's nobody home 👍
Everyone could use some Head Crusher from time to time. I tried to tell a former co worker about crushing heads and she just rolled her eyes.
I haven't seen this in a long time.
Top 10 Anime Battles
I see this was filmed in mid-May in Toronto.
