Malayalam movies are just on another level compared to these ones. I mean, I don't want to sound biased or anything, but have you seen some of the Malayalam movies out there? We have some seriously talented filmmakers and actors. It's really hard to find that kind of quality in these films.
They showed the Ukrainians Virupaksha when they were fearing out about the Russian soldiers. And, I kid you not, after watching it they had a whole new understanding of what real fear is.

The storyline is not good. If you’re going to focus on Jamshed Khan, just focus on him and make it like a thriller murder mystery. But instead the writers began diverting to useless things like Jay Khanna’s story. First the partition happens, he goes to a camp, him and his father start singing nursery rhymes for kids, he attempts to murder someone, goes to jail, gets bailed out, starts working for Bombay talkies, gets accused of stealing and again gets kicked out of there too , at the same time he is also trying to impress a courtesan. I honestly got tired, the story was like a headless chicken not going anywhere. It was tiresome. Indians have trolled Bombay velvet and Kalank but I didn’t see anything unimaginably bad in those. Whereas Jubilee for me was just tiresome!

Such things are not possible in Malayalam movies. They're like the most progressive cinema out there. And you know what's the best part? The actors actually play their age. You won't find any 50-year-olds playing high school students or romancing young girls. The scenarios they show are so realistic.
You guys should do this a lot more often, not just wait for big release. Big releases are most often ordinary movies. I would love to see anmol and Anupama analyze good movies.

There was a time when hindi cinema was way ahead of south indian films. Till the 70s ...It is unfortunate that hindi cinema is getting inspired by a 9 year old movie like Veeram which in turn was a distant cousin of the 23 year old malayalam film Valliettan ! These south movies were made to cash in some trends which were only relevant during those periods in their respective languages. Can't believe how this 125 year old industry is getting inspired by such mediocre films. It is a pity that the stagnant 80s made bollywood the slept rabbit of the race..And now getting inspired by 10 -15- 20 years old south films.

But after a point, Bollywood started becoming cringy and South Industries, especially Telugu took off after 2012

Atlee films would include a social message with them and Jawan is giving me vibes of Indian, Sivaji The Boss which have messages in them. And Hindi cinema doesn’t make those kinda films often, last I can remember will be Nayak, Kick, Gabbar, but sadly no film was original. So after like 30 years we are getting one original masala film with social message. South have always exceled in this genre, with films like Thuppaki, Sarkar, Mersal, Katthi and Sardar being made

Jubilee was gorgeous but the court case was so lame so was the phone tapping subplot. Hope there is a season 2 tat can take it forward mapping the real ppl from tat era, Kishore kumar or a SD burman can fill a entire 10 hours
It hasn't got the views that they were hoping for despite the promotions and hype, very less than even the Happy Family from Prime video, so doesn't look like they'll go ahead with S2, the show neither got the views nor subscribers, actually a flop on OTT.
I am surprised people really like Jubilee. For me it was a huge huge stretch. If it was a movie indians would have trolled it. I am okay with slow movies/ series but this had no depth to it either. The storyline is not good. If you’re going to focus on Jamshed Khan, just focus on him and make it like a thriller murder mystery. But instead the writers began diverting to useless things like Jay Khanna’s story. First the partition happens, he goes to a camp, him and his father start singing nursery rhymes for kids, he attempts to murder someone, goes to jail, gets bailed out, starts working for Bombay talkies, gets accused of stealing and again gets kicked out of there too , at the same time he is also trying to impress a courtesan. I honestly got tired, the story was like a headless chicken not going anywhere. It was tiresome. Indians have trolled Bombay velvet and Kalank but I didn’t see anything unimaginably bad in those. Whereas Jubilee for me was just tiresome!

Given Jubilee was an epic 10 episode very well made series, it's unfortunate that more than 50% of this episode was dedicated to the the worthless kiska Bhai kiska Jaan... Why ? Could you'll have spent more time on all the other content more, perhaps forcibly trying to make sense of non content is unnecessary?
