Probably my favourite thing about Islam is how serious its followers take it, especially in a world which ignores the existence of God.

2012 - I start secondary school at a Muslim school
2013 - Left the school having been around people who showed me so much Haram
2013 - Started Hifz
2014 - Was doing Haram while doing Hifz
2015 - Was still doing the Haram until one day.......
2015 - When I became Baligh, I stopped doing the Haram, Alhamdulillah, because I always knew what's right and wrong - it was just a question of which one I did. I stopped doing haram because I knew my sins are being accounted for, now that I'm baligh. it's crazy, because I chose haram over all the GOOD that I knew for the last few yrs.
2016 - I went for Umrah - someone once told me, Umrah changes a human. Makes them a better person. My uncle i think once said to me ' Umrah has made you worse '
well, he was right, I don't know what happened, but I went back to doing Haram - I think it was a few months after I came back from Umrah
2017 - HARAM HARAM HARAM - nothing was changing!
2018 - Went to Bangladesh
2018 - Came back from Bangladesh 3 weeks before Ramadan, and was still doing Haram.
BUT, Bangladesh did change me, that's why when Ramadan hit, I CHANGED AS A PERSON - It's like I waited for Ramadan, before I thought about changing!!!!!
May 2018 (RAMADAN) - THE NEW ME... I always knew what was right and what was wrong, and I understood the purpose of life, so all the Haram from the past 5 years, It just went out of my life, and from not praying Salah regularly, I was praying every single Salah, and a lot of it in the Masjid.
So yeah, that's been me for the last 18 months - HARAM FREE. I was so happy a few weeks ago - I was like to myself, ALHAMDULILLAH, I'm 18 months and recovering...
*UNTIL 2 HRS AGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
I don't know what happened, but I was on twitter, and I came across a HARAM page, and I unintentionally saw Haram images, which made me go and see more haram images
which then lead to me thinking ' I UNINTENTIONALLY DID 1 HARAM, now let me INTENTIONALLY do more haram!'
I WENT INSANE, and all my 18 months of changing my life, IT FELT LIKE IT ALL WENT DOWN THE DRAIN!
I did a HARAM which I hadn't done for the last 18 months.
While doing the haram, I was like 'it's ok, I'll do tawbah after I do the haram'
this is what I used to do 2 yrs ago before I stopped 18 months ago (very bad to do haram, with the intention of performing tawbah afterwards). I'm so devastated right now. all the horror moments are coming back.
I don't seek any advice from you, I know what's right and what's wrong. the problem with me - when I do haram and regret it, I feel the need to share it with people!
Oh Mufti, please make dua for me - the reason why I stopped doing haram was because I knew it's bad, and after coming back from Bangladesh and seeing the lifestyle my family was living in, I wanted to bring them all to the UK, that's when i started working online (to make the money to help others/help my family) etc. I wanted Allah to grant me success in my work, so I stopped doing haram. because I knew - why should Allah grant me Success, if I'm doing Haram???? I took haram out of my life. and 2 hrs ago, it came back and haunted me.
it's Jummah today aswell. I read Surah Kahf. I had breakfast
and then the HARAM hit right after breakfast
I was meant to do work, and then go to Jummah, but the last 2 hrs have really hit me hard. May Allah forgive me entirely for the Major sins that I have committed in the last 2 hrs, and all other sins I've committed in my life.
Allah has created Imam Menk a highly intelligent Imam who is very well versed with the Quran and the Arabic language. Imam Menk knows how to handle tricky questions on any Islamic problems and issues . He is the Light of the Ummah in the 21st century and we must be grateful feeding us to his daily inspirations of wellness and goodness...MasyaAllah. Long live Imam Menk to help protect his new reymmah giving good realistic advise.Ameen
