Don't forget to upgrade your throttle body to a 75mm helps ALOT As for the intake elbow, I bought a harbor freight engine hone to bore it out along with a cotton polishing wheel, rubbing compound, and aluminum polish I have a couple UA-cam videos on it. You can also hit up a junk yard to swap out for a 200 amp alternator
...F 'in awesome subject matter for all us panther guys my guy.i have a 2004 lincoln town car executive L that I plan on instaling long tubes on.this upload will assist me tremendously! Years ago, I picked up a 67 F250 with a 352, the cast iron manifolds were cracked and the gaskets were gone. I had several broken studs, I had the luxury of having the motor out, for rear main and trans seal. I drilled the holes and used a dermal motor to remove the stud material down to the threads, the used a tap to refresh the thread chase. You were lucky on your removals. The put tube headers on it.
Hey I really think it would be a sweet idea to cut away sections from the frame in the front. Cut a little slice to free space for the headers. You are genius for the steering shaft idea. Have you seen the solution for removing the ac system? Just switch around two pulleys and get a shorter belt. Its so interesting to see such things. Thank you.
I'm sure you already know this but I figured I'd throw it out there for someone who may need the information and that is the little trick of using some heat. Just a little propane torch will work fine you just have to leave the heat on it for a good bit of time. Then you can try to back it out, if it breaks loose don't keep removing just turn it about a quarter of a turn out then back in again, coming a couple more threads out each turn. That'll help preserve the threads better. If using just heat doesn't work try to get it extremely hot again and then shock it with water in a spray bottle then immediately try again. You can always wear a nut to the stud and do that trick and of course the ones that are broken below the surface I can almost guarantee you you'll be stuck drilling them out. Last but not least you might have to healy coil them.
Man i love your stick to it attitude. That's alot of work! Most would be super frustrated doing that. Hey, i have a mark viii motor swap question for you if you don't mind.
yarkie1 I used the factory floor shift. It shifted just fine as I accelerated, would drive just fine and then when I gave it a bit more gas it down shifted like it should. The only issue I had was a bad lock up torque converter solenoid. It had the torque converter stuck locked. Drove fine unless I left it pulled back into second, then it would stall out like a manual when you go to slow. That was a problem I created, not from the swap. You should be fine.
Did you put the steering shaft behind the 2nd primary tube ? Or did you got between the first primary tube and the second? I’m in the middle of doing this job to my Vic
More like 1500 for Stainless Works headers. I'm in a pickle for my 1999 Townie, I wanted to buy a set but those headers cost almost as much as I have spent on the car so far by themselves...in other words i can't afford em.

Great problem solving!
I just ordered mine
Biden-flation there 164 and change
Thanks for making the video
Knowing is half the battle !!
Unfortunately everything is up 🤦🏻♂️
What did you do with your egr tube on the headers
Mines getting in the way
Everything you said is spot on
Do I cut off the egr tube and weld it off

U think u can make a video about the steering shaft
I've never had experience with stainless welding wire, thanks for showing your experience.
Always clamp v bands together before welding them. They will warp.
$125? No wonder they're no longer available! Headers alone are going for $1700 these days.

Can you please do a breakdown on how to modify the steering shaft? you would be helping many people including myself
Sounds great man!

So what did u actually use for the steering shaft??

Thanks man!! It was frustrating at times, but I want the truck back on the road so bad. I’m always open to questions
@@StraightCutGears how did you handle your overdrive when you had the mark viii motor and trans? seperate button?
yarkie1 I didn’t do anything about it. It would shift into overdrive no problem. I could’ve put a switch in to be able to turn it off but never did.
Did you use the floor shifter or column? I've been told it will go into overdrive and stay there. I need a switch to turn it off?

A friend of mine just got a 2018 Ford truck, I told him I'd rather have yours!
Thanks man!

It passes between the 2nd and 3rd. I had to remake the shaft and get rid of the weird joint

$1800 for stainless works now....
What size wheels are those, and did you paint them?
Omar Almaguer They’re police interceptor 17”s painted VHT Burnt copper
These still ok? I like the price :D
Seem to be working great, I love them and love the price

Here is a alternative. It’s a few bucks more. Looks like the ones I got aren’t available right now. These look the exact same
What year vic is this
Its not for crown vics. Idk why he even put that in the title
Any year he put Vic cause his truck is on a Vic frame…
