It would still be cool if they would add a “campfire and cooking cauldron”, which would be made by adding either copper ingots or iron ingots, and we could cook things either more quickly than a regular campfire, OR to make current soups and new soups. I feel there’s an opportunity for a new “cooking table”

The frying table will never be added and you will never be a woman
having a map to the trial chambers is cool and all, but since there is a Starting Room why not make a structure visible from the surface like the trees for lush caves. Just have a small tower that has a spiral staircase that leads to the start room below. Having it linked to the surface just makes the chambers underground make sense.
Then…. What would be the point of maps and underground exploration?? It’s like putting a tower to mark a strong hold and deep dark 😂

@caodesignworks2407 the campfire provides unlimited fuel for cooking foods, so yes, it did add something new and revolutionary for food. A lot of people have been waiting for a hunger update and more food additions. It's quite pathetic the way food is implemented in the game, as there is only one food that is "the best food in the game." Feels really lame, so some sliver of hope of improvement is enough for some people to begin speculation
Well considering literally every other tab was something to do with development, I think it was a good guess that it was going to be at least somewhat related to minecraft
9:20 I've said it before and I'll say it again: the villager moving his head up and down may not be him nodding yes. It could just be that he was speaking and mojang wanted that action to be accompanied by a motion so it's not just a disembodied voice. If that's the case, it means they were just trying to be mysterious about whether or not they're adding a boss in the near future. I'm pretty sure people had their hopes up way too much from the get-go.
People role-playing in games move their character's head up and down to simulate talking all the time. I don't know how Wattles interpreted that differently.

Frying table feels too modern for minecraft, it's something straight out of a mod or smt

@wattlesplays a frying pan would fit this criteria perfectly. Craft it from 4 iron ingots and a stick, then you place it on top of a furnace/magma block and when you place food upon the pan it can use a piece of fuel to fry the food. And as a balance change, the fuel lasts far longer using a frying pan than just using the furnace in itself

It was never the combat update. It was the combat adventures update. Meaning new adventures that feature combat, or at least that's how I interpreted it. I would be happy to be wrong though.

Not good enough. They have so many resources to make the game even cooler and add so much more to it, but they constantly fumble the bag tome and time again. This update is good if it ended here, but it’s not nearly as good as it should be and NEEDS to be in order to win back the hearts of the fans.

Unfortunately in the same day, Kingbdogz on the discord basically just shutdown the combat update for 1.21 too. Even though he mentions he wants changes to be made and does extensively mention Jeb's snapshots, he says that nothing has been even ported, and that if they were to make a combat update, they would start the testing at the beginning of the update cycle.

how much you wanna bet that it's tied into the mlg water bucket advancement where you fall from world height down to bedrock? Use the mace to smack the bedrock to survive the fall, generating so much power that it breaks a piece of bedrock (the heavy core) off--or better yet, converts the bedrock block to a mineable block for an official way to delete bedrock instead of relying on glitches. Maybe the glitches have to stay (even though observers are a thing the old-school BUD switches still work) since you can't get on the nether roof withou them, but at least now there's a cool way to make it happen.

Trial chamber needs a boss or at least a mini boss that will prevent u from breaking block in there so that players will experience it the way it should be. Basically a mining fatigue. The boss should be unique on it way to counter the mace. Like "The more damage it takes, the higher its defense" or "Each hit it takes dealt 5% of the pure damage (Based on difficulty)" or "Immune to heavy weapons"
They don't even mention Notch by name in the ender dragon video. They made it sound like it was entirely their idea. They brought him up as "the creator" ONCE. Shit felt sad. Like he doesn't even exist anymore aside from the Notch apple advancement

Tbh, I think we're not going to get much more for 1.21 content that hasn't already been reasonably hinted at. However, I partially believe this may be because the update pivoted a bit after the backlash of the mob vote.
How? Well since everyone was complaining about Mojang's laziness for not implementing all 3 mobs, they realized they had to do things that could both improve the efficiency of their workflow, AND the speed the game runs at when implementing new and experimental features. Datapacks on Java edition pulled a lot of weight for improving efficiency on that version, as it meant that all world and biome and loot table generation could be done modularly, since all the internal files for those looked exactly the same as the datapack tools. What else does this update feature? Brand new item data format replacing the old NBT system. It's both faster, more consistent, supports almost, if not all the features of the old system, AND far more. We even got item data in crafting recipes now (at least in the result).
People who don't know about datapacks may not understand how insane these changes are, but datapack creators are now capable of making custom food items that give custom hunger or effects, and tool items with different mine speeds that affect custom block sets and have custom durability, AND they can all be crafted using a vanilla crafting table. The game is only a few small steps away from being completely moddable with vanilla tools instead of a modloader, we pretty much just need custom blocks, custom UI, and custom mobs, with scripting to add featurs to both of them. Some of those can already be mimicked with functions and custom model data textures on items, but having deeper access with less effort would make it all extremely easy. Of course having access to the rendering engine and shaders would be needed too, but at least this would give all the basic elements of a modding engine aside from that.
So yes- 1.21 will be very disappointing for people who hoped for a complete combat rework, a new dimension, a boss, and whatever else they wanted, but this alongside changes from 1.17 to 1.19 is setting the groundwork for much larger updates to be way easier to make, and as long as Mojang actually USES those tools, it will be better in the long run.
So basically they're tuning up the modding department because even they know modding is carrying the game
In other words the 1.21 content update will be disappointing to people who expected actual content, great.
Like setting groundwork is fine but they've been doing that for the past four updates in every department leaving almost everything not fleshed out at all. Like at some point content has to start holding up on its own.
@@EmperorPenguin1217 No, let me be clear that I'm not saying these changes are for modding. They DO provide tools to improve modding, yes, but that's not what they're REALLY for, it's just a surface level description. Thanks to the biome and dimension changes from previous updates, I can make my own custom dimensions with biomes in only a day, and it would be reasonably interesting to explore.
Mojang, however, could take that same amount of time with a much larger team and many more ideas, and make something FAR more valuable.
Previously, if either I OR Mojang wanted to make that same thing, we'd need to modify the core game code directly, which could break things in massive ways. Modders would do this with an engine like Forge that patches into the game core, and Mojang just has direct access to it. However, now the tools for both are the same, meaning everyone has the same understanding of the base used to implement features, and it works without breaking the gameplay in other areas.
Doing dimensions and biomes first was cool, but was only really useful for once they planned to USE them, and aside from Caves and Cliffs, biomes haven't been touched much. Item components, on the other hand, will drastically affect every major update going forward, because now all new items will be easier to make than they were previously, so it will make EVERY update easier to make, not just biome and dimension ones.
So while you CAN look at it as "they're making modding easier because the game can't hold up on its own", you have to look at it this way to see the value- Mojang knows the modding community is already large. They have no reason to make it easier when it's already so easy unless DOING SO means making THEIR jobs easier, which it does. So it isn't a modding update, it's a core update.

Can't help but get a whiff of wishful thinking. Doubting is always more realistic than expecting something positive, so take my stance as a grain of salt, but I think it's just safe to expect disappointment and nothing meaningful to impact things for us moving forward. Sometimes, things are just straight forward.
There is the possibility that they ALREADY had these features internally through a different system, now they just gave access to them to the greater public. Like how a dev of a game will create a map maker system in an update for the steam workshop. The dev would already have a way to make maps where this tool they made is literally "just" for the players to make their own.

I've provided actual legitimate reasons for why datapack changes are more beneficial than surface level "modding support" that everyone treats it as, that's not copium just because I don't hate everyone at Mojang and their dogs because they didn't add all the stuff I wanted immediately.

The objective stance is. . . it could just be for the players, where, how mojang develop the game actually has very little to do with what evidence you provided.
The ocean is blue, the sky is blue, clearly blue is gods favorite color. . . Why can't it be green? Regardless of how strong or flimsy the evidence is, if that evidence doesn't rule out nor counter the alternative, then it just simply doesn't really prove or even suggest anything. It's no better than just stating possibilities. Not even "plausibilities", just "possibilities". That's why I questioned it as wishful thinking. Because if the alternative is equally as likely. . . then you are not stating likelihoods, you are only stating possibilities.
Also, you haven't proven that they "are", you only stated why they "could be". This, again, comes back around to you disregarding the alternative explanations for how things "could" work. That all of this might not have ANYTHING to do with their workflow because they might have a different toolkit than us.

They technically still haven't said they won't do a End update at some point so saying that we are not receiving an End update is not the same as saying we aren't receiving a Frying Table (This has to be a April Fool's snapshot) or a Trial chamber boss, since there hasn't been any direct replies from the developers about a End Update, At least from what I know.
So, hopefully we receive an End update soon. I only wonder when...
Advancements can have attached loot tables, so maybe the way you get the heavy core is by competing some kind or difficult achievement or challenge? It seems a little unorthodox and ig it can’t really be repeated but it would be a cool way to get it for the 1st time

Hey! The Seed BingBong has 2 jungle ruins at start and within they have 4 armor trim, a diamond, horse armor, saddle and more. Your also right above a cave system full of diamonds and ore. The closest village (amazing) has a building spawned underneath it in a pocket in the mountain. The underground building is at -910, 84, -876. Best seed I've found. Spider spawner on surface at -2857,39,-1363.

there has been some information on the Minecraft movie. Jack Black has revealed some info throughout some interviews that he is starring in the Minecraft movie. also, according to some articles, he stated that the film is being filmed in New Zealand. I heard some info (not sure how true) the film is taking place as a Minecraft Origin time setting and I think he starring as Steve.

To be honest, I’m fine with these. I never really understood the importance of the frying table since we already have three main ways of cooking food (furnace, smoker and campfire) and as for a boss, we did technically get a new boss in the village and pillage update, it just consists of multiple enemies rather than one big one.
For more food variety where you COMBINE different food types rather than just "heating" them. Like sandwiches. If nothing else, it would help with RP. Alternatively, it can work like suspicious stew in that different ingredients give different effects.

I would see it being of use to add a new villager to trade with that could be a chef and you would use a frying table to give it the profession but other than that, I would see it going heavily under utilized.
@@sethofspades2632 They could, but they ALSO could have done that for half the other blocks. Why have an anvil when you can have a crafting table? Why have the Smithing Table when you can just put that stuff in a crafting table. Why have a grindstone when we have the the crafting table.
So many of these functions are limited to using certain blocks just for the sake of it. It could also require fuel in addition for it to work tho.

@@Hadeks_Marow My point is that right now, a frying table is not necessarily needed since we already have three different ways to cook food and in my opinion, a fourth way to cook food is not necessary right now. Could it be nice in the future? Sure. Let’s see what it holds. However right now, I feel like it’s imperative that Mojang focuses their energy on things that give a proper challenge. I don’t know if I just haven’t heard much but, it seems like the frying table itself got overshadowed by pretty much everything else in 1.21 so I fear it would’ve been easily forgotten. If there were more food items added that filled hunger better and could only be cooked with the frying table, then I would reconsider.

There is a Minecraft short showing some fixed bugs, and one of them is “netherite jumping in lava” or something like that. If you look closer, you can see a lot of blue pixels in the netherite tools and armor. Some people said that it was just it’s early design, but I did some research and I haven’t found nothing talking about those textures. What do you think?

To be fair I'd rather just have them straight up tell me what is or isn't coming than wait ages and get no payoff.
However it's insanely scummy to do what they did by teasing features
it appears that kingbdogz simply got fed up with the community's bs and decided to do something about it, calling someone lazy 24/7 without actually stopping to appreciate the features that were added is definitely gonna have some negative effects in the long run for the people working on the game and honestly i don't even blame him for it, the way the community reacted to 1.19 definitely was even worse than any bad decision mojang has ever made, and given the fact that at least most of the community sees mojang employees as bots making updates instead of actual people with lives outside of working on the game doesn't help either
You can summarize this as the community somehow managed to disappoint themselves before mojang did.

ok but imagine a furnace block (frying table) that u can put stuff into and cooks with a new redstone block. like a redstone pump, the redstone pump works when its redstone connected and slowly generates heat and cooks whatevers inside, its a bit op but its nerfed by cooking as fast as a normal furnace, it cant smelt ores only food and stuff like kelp , it sgood for auto farms but not good for ores/house cooking
I think we'll see an undescribed hints about 1.21 on upcoming April Fool snapshot cuz last year, the April Fool snapshot just added the copper looking structure thingy on a moon and we actually got the trial chambers which is full of copper thingys (Those are just my opinion,im not sure if it will be)

And the anvil beats… I know this is a bit of a stretch… makes me think of Evil Anvil, who makes amazing music, most notably his Life Series songs. For those, he takes voice clips of all the different Life Series members from the season the video is on, and puts them together with the clips they’re from and some original music made by Evil Anvil to make an amazing song. This somehow turned into me promoting Evil Anvil on a video that has nothing to do with him for some reason. Hopefully he and many people see this and watch his videos. He has so far made a song for Third Life, Last Life, Double Life, and a short Hermitcraft Season Nine song aswell

ngl i would love like a actuall game changing update like end rework or new boss. but so far they've givven us, some new blocks a couple new trims a new weapon and a semi cool structure. People say the nether update was the est update becuase it had game changing things in it that make you actually think and remmber it downthe line rather than in the moment
We did get game reworking updates.
The combat update added content after the ender dragon, the nether update changed nether exploration and added an easier way to get gold and ender pearls, village and pillage reworked the civilization aspect of the game to an extant.
That said I do agree that a lot of stuff could be made better. I think we need dungeon reworks for the nether fortress, the stronghold, actual dungeons (currently are just a square box), along with the desert and jungle temples.
Reworking those structures will add a lot to the game with little effort. It would also be a good opportunity to add new mobs to add more challenges to such structures.
