We're on the border with Austria but still in Italy! You can see the Alps - Dolomites all around. Bolzano used to be Austrian territory and later thanks to Mussolini, became Italian land.
Bolzano south Tyrol Italy is also called Bozen by the German speakers. It is a city in Sudtirol (south Tyrol) in north Italy.
On this video we'll show you the Dolomiti drone 4k footage we love most, to support the beauty and charming views you get from Sopra Bolzano. Stunning!

My husband is from here..... And I'm Indonesian..... I love this city so much... Thank you for the video
Hey diba, you mixed i think with arab. Right?
Mbak diba mau tanya, kalo dari Bolzano ini ke Lagi di Braies, Val di funes, sama Seiser Alm ada transportasi umum nggak ya? Atau harus rent car. Terimakasih
Bolzano and the North east of Italy are the best regions - - clean, civilesd, prosperous, efficient--Good quality of life and very beautiful too
I think it's ranked as first in best place to live in in Italy
Legacy of the Republic of Venice and Austria.
@@Podzzy austria also brought concentration camps for people who felt a little bit "italian" in those regions
@@thepillar_ofautumn8467 Could you tell me more about this? Or at least point me in the right direction by citing an article. Sounds like an interesting topic I'm not yet quite familiar with.
Che Bella Bolzano, Ci ho lasciato mezzo cuore.
Been living there for 5Y, 21 to 25 the best years of my life!!!
thanks for the video
Prego Marco! Perchè sei andato via? Ci credo, ogni posto lascia il marchio. Questo posto forse di piu dato quanto sia piccolo ed intimo
Mi sono trasferito a Londra e passato 17 anni la,
Ora rientrato in Italia,
Bozen sarà la prima tappa dopo la mia rimpatriata in puhlia causa covid
Marco I will be planning a trip to that area in June. And I’m wondering how best to reach Seceda from Bolzano. Should I rely on trains or should I just rent a car? I also plan to get down to Rome as well. Do you have any recommendations on where to stay that is not too expensive?
Hi there I just found your video on Bolzano because I am doing a bit of 'research' before I go there in April 2025. I had planned on taking the cable car up and doing the little train too so this video has just cemented my decision to do both. It nearly brought a tear to my eye to think that I will actually be seeing this amazing place for real in just a few months. Thank you for putting in the work to bring this gorgeous part of the world to life. Margaret from Australia.
Hi there Margaret, I'm so happy you found this video useful! And I can only say... what you saw is nothing close to how amazing the place looks like! It really feels like wonderland when you go up with the cable cart and take the train overlooking the cliffs. Something I've never seen before and that I'm so grateful to have experienced. My friend lives there, he's the fellow I went to Lake como, not sure if you watched that video, I recommend it since it combines well with your trip's plan, it's not far and so worth it! I'll go again one day, I really miss it. Have a lovely holiday and take many pictures!
Orlando
beautiful and peaceful
Indeed it is. So relaxing. A place you may also visit alone, to listen to the birds and quietness surrounding you. A good book is good to have, to alternate with the view whenever your eyes are tired
Just the drive to Bolzano is absolutely amazing. Brenner’s Pass.
Very good quality video keep it up brother.
I am from trento too near lago di caldonazo
I love my ITALY
Love and respect
I have to come there! Italy is so beautiful! Once all this corona crap is over I'm coming! Stay strong Imran e forza Italia! Quanto vorrei venire per delle tagliatelle, funghi porcini e mozzarelle! Ma hanno bloccato tutto :/ (abito a Praga)
Love respect!

Beautiful really! So natural and cozy!
very helpful video .... we were set to go straight to Ortisei... but we may book 1 day at Bolzano.
Great video. I am thinking of visiting Trento and Bolzano in next couple of weeks.
Please take me with you! Aha! I miss that place! Enjoy it! It's really incredible
wonderfully done, never hear speak such clear English from Italian guy, and great dynamic video. super job.
Thanks for the comment! I appreciate every word you said! Ps: I'm Italian American, that's why my English is good :) ☺️

Wonderful! I am pleased to see more new issues about beautiful Italy.
Well more Austrian to be honest that's why it's very attractive area
My wife and I wet here in 2015 we loved it. Cable car and train was brilliant.

How can i get in touch with you..its very important. Thank u.
I watch a LOT of travel videos for Spain and Italy. Yours are easily among the best. I travel all over Italy for a month every summer....I really wish you had more videos covering other regions!
You're right!! And thanks for that wonderful comment!! I wish I had more time to travel and do videos!
Ps: we have a tuscany video! Did you see it? Soon we'll have a Umbria video come along! It'll be super interesting! ☺️ Stay tuned!

@@WishCasting Yes I've seen all your videos. Excellent English by the way. It took quite a few sentences before I spotted a trace of your Italian accent. I've travelled to almost every corner of Italy and there are some real gems that most Americans have never heard of. Some suggestions for future videos of lesser known areas are: Rimini, Vieste and Brindisi along the Adriatic. Lecce, Tropea and Matera in the south. Taormina , Syracusa/Ortigia and Pamplona on Sicilia. Most Americans are familiar with Cinqueterre but I think Portofino/Santa Margherita/Rapallo deserve more attention. Milan is more famous but Torino is a very enjoyable city with a more laid back ambiance. Americans love Tuscana so more videos about the other hilltowns would be nice. And I think the biggest secret of the lakes region is fantastic Sirmione! Ciao!
@@alexdeleon8507 I'll absolutely take your comment into serious consideration for next videos :) Ciao Alex! Piacere di far tua conoscenza
@@WaliTV-zr1yt In fact Bolzano is not Italy, but it is IN Italy.
@@WaliTV-zr1yt last time that i checked the map was an italian city...
Nice and helpful video
Awesome video thanks!
You're absolutely welcome Derek!
So in love with the area and can’t wait to visit it and perhaps retire there
What a great travel video of Bolzano.
Amazing how well produced and well presented it is.
Süd Tirol is a dream. Kind of like Switzerland 🇨🇭 but at a quarter of the cost.
That €6 cable car ride to Renon would be €40 in Lucerne, Switzerland. Thanks for producing this.
I really like your videos. Very informative. I’d really love you to do one about Venice! Subscribed!
Hey thanks Derek! You're super kind! Glad to have you onboard!

Very beautiful City! ❤️
Indeed it is! I loved it so much!
This seems to be a very charming place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job!
well you can purchase sudtirol day pass which covers most of the public transport
Great video!... (background music a bit much)
I'm going tomorrow, seems like a nice city!
It is! How was it??
@@WishCasting my first week in bolzano was indeed very nice! I love the food and the mountains, I'm thinking about visiting next year again hahah
Grazie mille

Exceletne video !, pregunta : nosotros vamos hacia fin de noviembre principios de diciembre que dices de la temperatura, acerca de los caminos y la tomas fotograficas? grcias !
Awesome video. How far is historical train from the cable lift chair location. Also did you goto Val Gardena or somewhere else.
It's right next! 15 meters walking distance! I didn't go to that place you mentioned! But I will on another occasion if I visit again :)
Orlando @wishcasting
So a pretty easy going trip from Munich?
What's the camera used in photographing from the cable car?
Really professional and I really wanna have a long break there right now. So exhausted 😭❤
I can imagine! It's super peaceful :)

@@WishCasting Is there a family called Bolzano. Appreciate much. My grandfather's name is Captain Lobalochi Bolzano. I would love to visit and find out!! Please let me know.
The videos makes me want to go there again immediately. Maybe some additional information: a lot of hotels, airbnb's can give you the so called "Mobilcard". With the Mobilcard you can use all public transport for free in South Tyrol during your stay (even the cable car to Oberbozen and the train to Klobenstein is included). You missed the "Erdpyramiden" close to the viewing point up there (where you flight the drone). It is definitely worth the extra 30 Minutes of walking.
So thank you again for your video 🙏👋.
Amazing video. Lovely. Could you do more videos on Dolomites ? Where to locate ? How long should one spend in each city. For example I'm bit confused for Valgardena area whether I should stay in Ortisei or Selva if I'm planning to use public transport (in my country driving is from right side so don't want to get in to trouble trying to drive in left ) 😁
thank you! ☺️
We're not sure when we'll be going to Italy again now, but surely we will cover those places you just mentioned so we can help you out a bit!
Believe me, driving is so easy and calm in these places, you won't have any problems learning to drive on the opposite side!
Take a car! 2x better!
Orlando @wishcasting
Does anybody know if there are any flights or private planes that can be taken from Innsbruck to Bolzano?
Nice
Thanks :)
In June I plan on traveling to Bavaria. From there we want to go to northern Italy and I figured the train would be the best route. But I really want to see a lot of the Alps so I thought I would rent a car in Bolzano. Do you know if there’s a car rental place near the train station in Bolzano? Or do you think it would be cheaper overall to skip the train completely and just rent a car in Munich and travel to Italy from there by car and just skip the train? I have an American drivers license. Do I need anything else to be able to rent a car in Germany and drive it in Italy?
Hi , is this tour also feasible during Mid December?
Sure!
4:08 Its 6 euros for one way and 10 euros for one way + return
Bolzano has 110k inhabitants not 250k.
Thanks for that! I don't know how I made that mistake! Hope people read this comment.
Orlando @wishcasting
It’s because the greater metro area has 250,000

i was born there :) one of the most european cities in italy

How did you like it? Did you do our same path or where did you end up going to?
Great video! The background music is a bit loud, wasn't able to enjoy the video fully.
Sorry about that, you're not the first to say this. Pity we cannot change it now anymore since it's uploaded already
you are awesome
5:55.....3 BAMBI!!
:D
ALGEBRA GOT ME HERE
Mobilpass 1 day: 15€ and you can use all public transports, also from Trento, leave your cars at home please.
i live here
Bolzano has just above 100.000 inhabitants... why would you have such a wrong information....
Source: Wikipedia
Please calm down. This is a happy place, not a place to spread negativity
It did not become Italian under Mussolini, it was taken from the Austrians as a punishment after ww1, which ended up being unfair as the Italians joined the axis forces in ww2 anyway
It was not unfair, Austria attacked Italy militarily and was defeated, it was the Austro-Hungarian Empire that caused its own defeat.
Looks beautiful; I'd love to visit. But man, take it easy on the production effects on your videos. Made it hard to appreciate the natural beauty that you were showing and darn near gave me a seizure.
The video is almost without any value, it's just a stuck of adverts and the big example how Italian don't understand South Tyrol, where they are still guests only. Better and cheaper by car? Ridiculous, indigenous Tiroleans created perfect public transport system which can answer for every needs - one ticket for all kinds of buses, most trains and funiculars. Around 20€ /1day or 30€ /3days without traffic jams, narrow streets and parking combinations...
But to be honest the city of Bozen is beautifull with their diversity, connection of trattorias and bierhauses and other examples create here the junction of nations which is like a magnet for visitors!
The video was fun to make, the people you see on video are from Bolzano and Merano, local indigenous :)
The car is excellent if you want to be independent and visit surrounding cities and towns, if you depend on public transport, you cover much less in a short time. In fact, this is called 24 hour guide, not 5 day guide, so to cover as much as you can, a car is the key. I took a car even when I visited Switzerland, which is a perfect country for their public transport, but a car allows you to do more. It's just true!
Anyways, there is a lot of hate from people towards Italians when speaking of South Tyrol. It's Italian, they're not visitors, they're owners of that land, unfortunately this is the modern reality. The faster you accept it, the easier your mind will be at peace. And I'm not saying this with anger, it's just... a fact!
Thank you for your comment, apologies for the ads, they are the standard enabled ads youtube assigns. I didn't add extra ones like others do.
The music was very irritating.
Sorry for that!
What you were doing with the music volume between dialogue was so annoying i couldn't watch more than a few minutes.
I know... I learned much after doing these videos, I wasn't quite experienced back then
Bullshit that renting a car costs less!!
Maybe we got lucky then 🍀
South Tyrol is NOT Italy!
yes it is.. it is called ALTO ADIGE
It actually is since 1920
I feel you man....
You right let's be honest does not look like and does not feel Italian at all that's why is so beautifully attractive
I have to break it to you though, it is indeed :)
