    Wow Jonathon. U rock! ❤
My “mistake” was letting an ex come back & clearly I had forgotten what a “lame” he is. He love-bombed me & I believed him. Then I became a pump-n-dump four months later… when I finally let him back into my bed. And so I suffered a crushing blow.💔
BUT guess what? I’m recovering now & although I don’t do dating sites… I met someone organically playing a sport… and I’m in my mid 60’s.
So your advice is sound! It’s best to get out & find something u like to do that includes men. That’s key. Plus of course one must have a well-rounded life that includes taking care of yourself. Physically, mentally, & so on.

Agree and so many men in the dating world are passive and expect women to do the chasing. This is why I actually don't like the dating app Bumble. Women have to reach out to the man. I don't find it empowering at all but more like we have to chase them.

Very very good podcast Jonathan. You’re absolutely right on and all this needed to be said!! So often we compromise our standards, we justify tolerating behavior we don’t like …truth is we must question ourself…why the hell do we tolerate what we don’t want?? Self esteem, self love, inner strength, lack of faith ….we should blame
Our damn self!! I think I’d rather be alone , maybe get a cool

It took me a long time to find myself again. I’m reticent to get back out there because I don’t want to lose myself this next time around. My daughter had a new man grill her on her past relationships and dug into everything, now 4 years later he uses that information to attack her and tell her she’s cheating when he comes back from being on the road for 6-10 weeks at a time, when that was what he did to his ex. I told her going forward it’s ok to talk about failures in her marriage but a lady doesn’t kiss and tell about details of flings etc.

He wanted me to come over to watch Netflix and cuddle and I told him I would like to meet in a public place before doing that. The next day I said good morning and never heard from him. About lunch time I got a text from him saying “I won’t be moving forward with this because I’m seeing someone now”. What the heck happened?
