Montana understands gun safety, he's more interested in guns as tools rather than as weapons of mass destruction.
@@dinoknight6538 You know there was at least one group of them drinking off their back porch looking at that balloon having the talk they could easily take it with their elk rifle.
The Southern States were issuing balloon permits in large caliber only and unrestricted limits on bag count.
I had a lot of neighbors talking about how they wanted to shoot it down. I'm in montana.

I'm from. New Hampshire, we got hit with that "huge winter storm" and we were fine. Everyone else is weak too cold
Having moved from Memphis to California, I was gutted the first time I walked into a beauty shop, and the lady said they wouldn't do my hair. Said it takes too much product and too much effort. I was with friends, we all had appointments, and I was so embarrassed to be the only one turned away. I spent months trying to find a shop to just give me a trim. Ended up finding someone who charged more than $100 for a wash and go. I started doing my own hair and I'm not great at it, but at least I don't feel like an bug under a microscope.
As a Michigander, I'll defend the southern states struggling with cold. Their homes aren't built to handle the cold and for the most part they don't really have the clothes for it. Unfortunately with climate change problems, they should consider looking into insulation and, in Texas's case, the govt should get their heads out of their asses and either fix their power grid or come back to the national grid.
Thanks for defending us, we are just not built for that, figuratively and literally
I'm an Iowan but live in Texas now. Cold is a relative thing and what may be typical north kills people in the south. The Northern states would fry under what we went through last summer. Imagine the crops after 4 months of zero rain and over two months straight of 100 plus weather and 3 of over 90.

Insulation is good for cold, but bad for heat. Many houses in my area (LA) were designed for attic blowers and convection vents. It is near impossible to heat these houses in cold weather because they were designed to cool themselves in hot weather. They are designed to be comfortable in 105°F 98% humidity, not 50°F 70% humidity
Ps. 70% is dry for us.

For real. I'm also from NH and yeah I feel like he captured us pretty well. We're a pretty quiet state that never makes waves or ever gets mentioned.
It was -120° wind chill on Mount Washington last Friday, so, NH has every right. Made me appreciate the "balminess" of -17° in upstate NY.

As a New Hampshirite, we'd sigh at any southern state saying their cold, but sympathize with the more northern states specially with how cold it got last week (wind chills from -40 to -57 depending on how north you live). We'd also brag about Mt Washington hitting a new record-low air temperature at -46.9F also shattering the coldest national wind chill record at -108.4F (previous was -102.7).
Wind chill of -62⁰F? How is that possible?

Frostival is a good time. My favorite part is the coffee and cocoa crawl. Local businesses partner with local coffee shops, you get a mug, and parade around downtown in below zero temperatures 🥶

My folks were saying it was -46 on the coast; I'm rarely glad to miss winter at home but I think I'm better off this year

I'm in an Austin suburb, we didn't lose power but internet was down for several days and my mom works from home, so that was hard. She had to go to my uncle's house, use his wifi to work. Folks in Austin proper have had it real bad. We mostly had a lot of tree damage out here from ice.

As someone currently living in New Hampshire, that is a very accurate depiction about how I feel about the weather.
Thank you for talking about the Crown act!! It still hasn't passed federally and we need it! Black ppl still getting fired or kicked out of school all cause of their hair. We need to pressure our government to pass it.

That sigh from New Hampshire was beautiful. It's the only state that has seen snow fall in all 12 months. Heck, I've personally seen it snow in all but July and August in NH.
Montana has had snow in every month as well. It's rare in July & August but it's happened.

It all depends on how long it’s been without one and how well their medication is working with them. Not had one for 6 years and the medication is doing great. Just wish I didn’t live in New Hampshire.

2:10 yeah I feel like that too. I recently moved from Seattle to Austin, and when school was canceled last week, all I could think was, "ha! Texan wimps!"
I currently live pretty near Bear Lake, and wow was that cold front unexpected. I don’t keep up with the news/weather forecast much, so I was out one evening just walking back through town from getting together with some friends and went to check the temperature and it was like -15! Obviously some places/people are less familiar with the cold than I am (winter’s probably my favorite month, snow and freezing temps are much preferable to the 90+ we get in the summer) but that was bone-chilling weather. At least we’re a little more prepared for it than Texas has been the last few years, I can’t imagine going without power for multiple days like that. The few times my power’s cut out, we’ve been able to get it back up within the day.

I just googled who Flint Rasmussen is. For those wanting an answer, he's a rodeo clown, and that is exactly what it sounds like from what I can tell. There's literally photos of this man in clown makeup and a cowboy hat.
Rodeo clowns are there for two reason, entertainment, and safety. Yes they are part of the rodeo safety crew, and they got the dangerous job of distracting the bulls and stallions when a rider gets thrown off.

We made it to 10th coldest on record here in RI. First time in five years we have hit negatives. Not too bad, we were prepared. Worst was the upper part of the state had some power outages. Had some branches and trees fall, not that bad. The wind chill did suck though.

I'm just surprised you didn't say anything about what happened here in Ohio, (in a small town named East Palistine, about 20 mins from where I grew up) on the 4th, a train got derailed, that was carrying, the same type of chemicals used to make PVC, and caught fire, the whole town basically had to be evacuated.

The New York joke made me think yeah I understand New York I understand that was a rough day for all of us. But yes it was like a very cold week. I love how California was wanting to help Texas and trying to convince Utah to help. Last year when that winter storm hit we Utahns sent our plumbers to help out with the pipes.
Next year, Alabama has to get upset that you mentioned Punxsutawney Phil instead of Sand Mountain Sam, where they do a similar thing as Phil but they use a possum instead.
