8 minutes in and the constant camera angle changes are very annoying. I get it though. Most podcasts constantly change from angle to angle multiple times but does it have to be every 2 seconds? I don't need to see him nod his head or have to see him saying "yeah". Whoever edits this really needs to tone that down. And not just by a little bit. You're actually taking away from being able to watch this to the point where I don't want to watch it. And if I feel like this, I can bet others will too.

Hi, thanks a lot for your feedback. You are right, we are sorry about this. We'll tone it down in future episodes. Thanks a lot for your feedback and we hope you enjoy our upcoming episodes. The next one will be with Kevin Rabichow!

I got tilted just from hearing this guy spam "yeah" every 2 seconds instead of just letting Maria speak uninterrupted

Constructivel criticism, as a host you need to resist the urge to audibly agree with your guest every time they make a point. Socially it makes sense to let people know you're engaged, but when you're hosting you are creating space for the guests ideas.
Between minute 10 & 22 you're constantly interrupting, in agreement sure, but it just breaks up her ideas with "yeah, yeah, yeah..yeah, yeah" lol
    Great content though, ty

I see what you mean, but you have to understand that you are listening to a conversation between two people. And it is very natural for the listener to respond with such words (as in that they are engaged and are listening). Again, I understand why you would be bothered about it as a third perspective listener, but that is irrelevant. This video is not about us. We are merely witnessing a conversation between two people, and this is what conversations are like.
I do appreciate that your comment was very kind and you were not rude at all, but I just wanted to voice my disagreement.:)
      Cheers.
PS. I do personally think that the changes between angles are way too frequent, and emphasize all the "yeah's" that the podcaster says, and it visually cuts off the actual speaker, and is sort of weird. But in my honest opinion it's got to do with the editing, not the podcaster.

@@GaliReax Going to have to agree to disagree here friend. I completely understand what you are saying, I just don't think that's the format. This is a podcast where Jared is the Host and Maria is the guest, and while there are certainly formats that are just conversations between two or more people, this isn't really that. Even the title of the episode "Maria Konnikova on Managing Tilt & Lessons" is a clear nod to the fact that the content is made so that the guest can expound on their ideas (sometimes its a book, and idea, a philosophy).
I only say this because I like the content honestly, and I used to do a podcast myself and there was a difference between just chatting with peers about current events for example, and having a guest on with an idea, book, or project to explore. And for what it's worth, not giving this feedback from a "I deserve better" perspective lol, this is free knowledge ill eat it up. I genuinely believe the advice I gave will make Jared a better host, interviewer, improve his content, and ultimately is beneficial to him.

@@kartoshi5398 Yeah fair enough, that’s a decent perspective. I personally didn’t mind anything in the conversation itself but in case there are plenty of others that agree with you there might be something beneficial there for the podcaster, why not. 🤙

The part where you talk about mindfulness being about knowing yourself and not just restricting your thoughts changed the way I thought about meditation. It’s quite interesting that even experts in the field of psychology still need an outside perspective to help themselves. It just shows how complex the human mind is and why the mental aspect of poker is so challenging.
