THANK YOU!! A video finally explaining details and step by step instructions!! Most content creators make videos for people who already know everything. I've had the materials for a while, but was lost when it came to making them because I didn't know how to properly choose what you wanted. New World changes everything so often that you stop playing for a while and you feel so lost when coming back. I bet people would love a video explaining what perks you would want on each weapon. Last I remember Tiger's instinct was a good hatchet, but I don't see farms for it anymore, so I guess it isn't that good now.
Your video helped me overcome the fear of rolling some bags. I made 12 bags and got 3 legendaries. I didn't figure out the cost till after.. WOW now i understand why they cost so much.
On my crafting menu. It says tier 4 bags, for example are 'unlearned'. Is that because my characters associated skill arent high enough yet or is it because the crafting station isnt a high enough tier, for them to be crafted. So i would them need to go onto another 'higher' level region?
i crafted with clock and got 7\10 leg (6 luck+slots), and another time I did 30 with a watch and got only 5, I also got 0/10 when crafting with a watch
Thank you! Very useful. But I still have a problem. Trying to craft an Infused Leather Satchel, I'm wearing all the gear, got the food buff, selected all the right mats, got a potential gearscore of 590-600 and shows 5 perks possible, however the problem is that it doesn't allow selecting any other than the first perk, I've no idea why. So I can select Luck or Pockets but not both and no other perk at the same time, so it looks as though all but the first perk is random. If I instead select the Golden Scarab version of this satchel, that DOES allow the 2nd perk to be selected but requires 3 Grand Runes which is crazy.
Hey, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I wouldn't recommend crafting bags in the 590-600 range - if you can hold off until the armorers buff is active in a town you own a home in, then you can crafting in the 595-600 gs range which increases your odds of getting a legendary by a lot. As for perks, that's just how it works now. When I made the video, you weren't able to use Golden Scarabs to craft Legendary Bags - you could only force a single perk and the other two were random. Now, with Golden Scarabs you can force two perks but it comes with extra cost. The last perk is still randomly rolled amongst all of the remaining available perks. I don't really think it's worth it to scarab craft bags but if you are looking for something very specific it might be. Cheers~
Will you be revisiting bag making once the stopwatches & scarabs are implemented? I’ve been saving up mats for months till this hits live and will be able to make about 50 bags. Really hoping that not only will I get 6-8 bags for myself but a few to sell for profit too. As I’ve been manually collecting everything during this downtime it’s all profit no matter how little the end up going for.
Honestly, I'm not sure. I craft to sell and currently there aren't many players buying bags, or anything for that matter. If I can't sell my bags there isn't much of a reason to craft them. If the population picks up with the patch and the economy starts moving again I will consider it.
Yes, for crafting 595-600 in general you need 3 houses each with a major crafting trophy of that profession as well as lvl 200 crafting skill, food buff, legendary materials, full crafting gear set and finally the crafting mastery buff active in a town in which you own a house in...
Unlucky. Keep in mind the 1 in 6 odds of crafting a legendary is not a guarantee it's just an average over a large enough sample size. It sucks but it is not uncommon to go 10 in a row without a single legendary or even 2 legendary out of 5 attempts.
Story time! When New World was in beta, I started crafting tools and selling them on the market just out of curiosity. As it turned out, they sold very well and for a huge profit but it was just beta so I was unsure how it would pan out on launch. When New World launched it was a much different game (azoth was scarce, auction houses weren't linked, too perks worked differently etc.) But I had a plan: (1) level Mining by gathering Iron, Starmetal etc. with Azoth Perk tools, (2) use that Azoth to craft tools with perks while leveling engineering, (3) sell tools for a profit (4) repeat this process for steel, starmetal and orichalcum until level 200 engineering. And it worked spectacularly. But, back then legendary tools didn't exist so eventually I was just using Runic Leather+Ebony+Tolvium/Cinnabar to craft 590 purple tools with 4 perks and was making a killing off of them. By the time Legendary tools were implemented I had over 1k of each legendary mat saved up from refining and I used that to fund my first batch of 100 tools and continue snowballing from there. On my Fresh Start server I did it all over again but by this time players had already caught on and competition was more fierce but it worked nonetheless. Once I had amassed enough gold and materials from tool making I got into bag making. I will say though that I would not recommend starting with bags unless you have a big bankroll because they cost so much more than tools. That said, I have over 1500 hours in the game so that goes a long way. Find a niche (tools, bags, food, potions, gems etc.) start small and snowball from there.
Yes! The Bag perks do stack - ideally you want extra pockets + luck on all your bags but if you prefer other perks that's fine too. To the best of my knowledge, the Last Consumption Perk on legendary bags also stacks for each bag. Honestly, you don't need legendary bags at all. 595-599 purple bags with luck+pockets+burden perks sell for a fraction of the cost of legendary bags and they'll do you just fine.
Awesome video!!! everythign I needed to know and now that I know, .....WOW!!! it takes a lot to make a bag... just like the rest of crafting in the game... FUK THAT SHIT
Thank you! Yes, you do need to reach 200 armoring to craft legendary bags. You also need some other things like 3 major trophies, gear, food and legendary materials.
Hey man, love your vids. Just wondering, have you ever tried crafting when your faction owns MD fort? If so, does that increases the overall percentage of Legendaries that comes out from crafting?
Hey! Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you enjoy the videos. The Mourningdale Buff only increases the top end of the crafting range by +5 Gear Score. If you have all the things, you are crafting at 595-600GS without the Fort Buff and having it wont push the GS range to 605 so it's just not relevant when crafting Legendary items. Hope that helps. Cheers~
Yes making legendary bag it's total wasting matts. Not sure for quick sales and very high cost overall. TP deposit it rediculous big and if you link it on trade. Ppl just lol you. What? a bag? Remind just make 550 purple its total finest
I wouldn't say it's a waste of mats per-say. Some players just want to have everything legendary. For those that do their 25 mutations weekly the Lasting Consumption is certainly a nice perk insofar as not having to pop a second set of consumables although whether that's worth the price is up to each player to decide. Personally, I craft them for profit and have been making decent gold doing so but it requires a lot of pricing discipline. If you don't want to pay the price you can buy 595-599 purple bags for a fraction of the cost to craft.
I wouldn't say it's a total waste of mats, I made a decent amount of money crafting legendary bags myself but it all depends on luck since it's basically gambling but the odds are fairly decent i would say, the video showed that you have a roughly 70% chance of getting a bag with extra pockets, which can easily sell for 80-90k on my server for a legendary one. I usually only craft bags if the materials are cheap (eg. runic leather&phoenixweave under 100g). Also one of the upside of crafting bags is that you're able to sell the bag even if you failed to craft a legendary in your multiple attempts, you are still able to get back roughly about 50% of your money back depending on how much on the cost and how much the bags are selling for, whereas for weapons/armor even if you were to hit a legendary on your crafts you get basically nothing if you were to roll anything other than BiS or a decent 3rd perk, so the odds for crafting bags are pretty decent/forgiving compared to crafting weapons/armor.
@@catart2633 Great comment and pretty much in line with my thinking. Unlike Weapons and Armor, Bags and Tools cannot drop from the open world. So crafters aren't being undercut by free open world drops. This more or less ensures demand even for the purple 595-599 GS bags or tools. Thankfully, you make a lot of gold back from selling the purples although this will depend on your server.
I've been playing MMORPGs for over 20 years and I've NEVER bought gold. Crafting is what I like to do in MMOs. I make spreadsheets, gather data, figure out the odds and use that to help me make informed decisions. Doing this allows me to make money crafting. Yes, it's tedious and a lot of work but that's what is required to make gold in a game like this. I'm just sharing my data with others and hopefully that will allow them to make gold or craft the item that they want.
@@atvkid0805 I know New World has massive problem with gold buyers and part of that may be due to the high cost and low chance of making BiS items but I am not one of them. If I was buying gold, I certainly wouldn't be crafting tools and bags - I'd be gambling on BiS gear. Bags and Tools have made me a lot of gold which is the whole reason I'm making these guides. The people that buy gold are more likely to be gambling on BiS PvP armor and weapons which I just can't justify crafting given the current economics of New World...
@atvkid0805 IMO the people who are "garbage" are the ones who scan posts and make rude comments out of pure jealousy. This is some of the best work ,content, explanation I have EVER seen for bags (Which is a HUGE market on my server COS US EAST). My suggestion to you is maybe use some of the time you use hating on others, to go out and do some of these suggestions yourself.

You are very welcome, I am glad you enjoyed the video and found it helpful. I'll have to look into perks for weapons and appreciate the suggestion!
They changed Tiger's Instinct - it now has Rogue Refreshing evasion and Keenly Jagged

Nice video. Helped a lot. made two bags so far, hopefully they sell. one of the bags was legendary so hoping that will sell well
I watch plenty of NW videos. You did a great job. And yes you are very correct, Luck is the perk of choice. 😉
Thanks for the kind words!

This is all different now since you cant use perks
So for this you also need to own 3 houses each with the armoring trophy in it?

I always force luck. On a tier V bag. Extra for leveling. I made 6 bags… 5 599 1 596.. 😢
