New World is a great game. I primarily play for it's open world aspects. Played it often on initial release back when it was running simulator and took forever to get to max level lol. Good times. Been off and on 0retty casually since, officially hitting 1,000 hours since day 1. I can't recommend this game enough to people.
I usually do 1 day, for anything bulk, as people will undercut you. If it's an item that not many ppl are selling on the server, or like a weapon or armor piece, I'll go a bit longer. I think the Banana tree farm is way better. All of them are slim tree, so even if you don't proc the one swing, you still blazing through the trees. They are usually in very high volume. I usually make 6k/h with only 600 gs lumberjack gear.
You can open it from T3 aptitude chests. So if you are a hard lifeskiller, you can chop trees anywhere, and if you are lucky, eventually you'll get 1-2 piece. But you can buy it from the AH, but it's pretty pricy.

There's 2 kinds of feet, 1 that drops year round, and one that only drops during the rabbit's revenge easter event, maybe it's that one that's costly, because they're not dropping atm. Some ppl save theirs and sell later in the year when prices are up. I think I got like 60 on my main character.

@@NewbWorld I played a lot of wow and I always use to randomly jump on afk alts and use crafts to level them. I miss that because you'd end up with a level 25 character with all these randomly rare recipes and gathering craft level weirdly high. And then just keep rolling along leveling them.
Banana is still better for me, i get around 6k/h without 700GS lumberjack gear. Ofc it depends on the prices, but you can always use the banana and the logs, while cactus flesh is very specific and low demand.
Idk I been doing the cactus method since I came back to NW about a month ago and it's been good to me. Kinda mad there's a video on it lol. But it's okay I'll find something else to do if need be. I'm mainly just trying to get all my skills to 205.
@NewbWorld it does. I was mainly logging just to get it to 250. Seems like it'll be easier the get other skills higher if I can make the material instead of buying everything for outrageous gold I don't have lol
Really? Even if it's not a crazy amount of gold, because they chop so fast, and you get so much bulk, you still make good money off of it. And the motes are where the real money are. If you have the best more perk on your axe, you'll get tons of them.
pretty crazy tho that after an hour of your time you're only rewarded with 1k gold. just goes to show this game doesn't respect people's time. you could run opr and if you get lucky and win 3 stomps then you get the same amount of gold with no investment into things like woodcutting gear and woodcutting levels, finding routes etc.
due to the fact that this game has no vendors to sell bloat loot too, we're left to either drop things with value that adds up over time or just leave them in our stash knowing that these items that have a value of like .10 gold on the market will never sell. what we need is an npc vendor who buys items at a static price, let's say 3g per item just to remove bloat and have some sort of economy again. the reason why the economy fails is because it's a player only market with not enough players for it to function properly. with bots saturating the market since early game, things like farming mats have become obsolete unless it's to craft for your self. however if we had a vendor who bought shitty mods at a set price, then we could consistently generate gold from things like world trains, dungeons etc with finding good items as a bonus instead of being the only reward for doing things. make the activities that feel mundane actually reward players with consistent gold earnings. the only thing keeping a portion of the player base functioning right now is RMT, swipe when you need gold and buy things like regen serums and honing stones etc because the gold sink for these things compared to the daily earnings doesn't add up. the only people actually making gold are the ones taking advantage of the fact that a lot of players are impatient and will just pay whatever for the things they want because they want to play the game and not farm mats, gold etc. not to mention things like the chromatic seals which literally just removed so much gold from the game for no reason. i get that games need to circulate gold out of the game but when you're circulating more gold out than in, it creates a super toxic dynamic where only certain people (companies that own territories and people who take advantage of the market dynamic) have gold.
Good points. The 1k gold for an hour isn't terrible in my view though, only because it's the afk method. I just had a document up and was typing the whole time, only going into the game for a split second to hit E on a tree as they spawned, so it was very minimal interaction with the game, and that's decent enough gold for doing nothing, and better than if I just didn't have the game open. Plus the 4 aptitude crates could add up to another 1k on top of that depending on luck.
All my gold goes into Prismatic materials for my multiple gear sets, plus I pay groups of people large amounts of gold frequently to record footage for an upcoming video I am working on, so never really save.
If you wanna make coin stop all the laziness and start grinding armoring/weapon/jewelcrafting/arcana skill and start making chromatic seal rolls and sell the piece for whatever and I bet you’ll make a killing…I’ve made so much coin I had to make my own company just to store coin

In a game where devs fks you over with their incompetence and poor decision making by adding more gold sinks with 0 new ways to generate gold i dont think buying gold is cheating, its just a solution to the problem they created in the first place@@HazeyInsanity

Pretty much, and if you have the top tier logging gear equipped, most likely your stats will be high enough for a 25% chance at 1 hitting any tree.

Just by following the main quest and leveling your character up you stand to make a decent chunk of gold.
