Thank you for sharing this recipe. Made a batch & liked it, then made a double batch & canned it in 4 oz jars. It's working well for me to have it on the shelf in just the amount I need at a time. Thank you, praying for you, Happy Thanksgiving & God bless.
Hi Vickie, Happy Anniversary!! ❤️😘❤️ Hope you have a wonderful getaway!! Your pizza sauce looks delicious. I am anxious to try this and I have all the fixins’ on hand. Thanks for sharing the recipe. My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary a few months back. Hard to believe how time flies!! Thanks again for all you do. You are so delightful to watch on UA-cam. Love, Mary ❤️😘❤️
Hey Vicki, we just recently aquired a kamado cooker and want to make pizza. I'm looking all around at dough and pizza sauce recipes. Thanks for this one. Lots of great info too. Looks delicious.
We haven’t tried pizza on the Kamado yet, mostly because I can put two easily in my large oven on baking stones, but please let me know how it comes out!
hello ma’am your video just popped in my recommendation, watched it and made your pizza sauce recipe and it’s perfect so delicious. So I subscribed to your channel to see more cooking video tutorials! Stay safe:))
Vickie, this is the kind of sauce I love and have been looking for. I love the garlic and the little taste of sugar in my sauces. The 4 oz jars are brilliant. Thank you for the recipe and all the great tips. I hope you and Bryan had a wonderful time together.-------Tressa Daigle
this sounds so good. I’ve been wanting to find a good pizza sauce recipe. I bought everything I need to make a homemade pizza except for the sauce. I’m going to give this one a go because I think it sounds delicious. Thank you so so much for sharing your recipe. I hope you had a nice trip with your husband. You deserve it. XOXO
Forgot to wish you and Brian a Happy Anniversary. I hope your mini vacay was fabulous. You surely deserve it! Love you ooples, Vickie. God bless every moment of your life. 💃jo
Happy Anniversary! Your sauce looks delicious. I might try splitting it in half to test because I'm always on the hunt for a pizza sauce that hubby loves.
Looks delicious. Wish I could smell it now. Have you ever canned it? If so, pressure or water bath? How long process time? Hope you have a wonderful anniversary get away!
Thank you! I haven't canned it, but I would look for the canning time for tomato paste, and probably water bath. I am not sure how the cheese would hold up in canning, so you might want to leave that out.
hey Vickie 🌸 oh gee you’re a good mama making the sauce for your daughter ...you’ll have to tell her to watch this video so that she can make it for you!!😉 It looks really nice...could u can it? will try it next time we have pizza...tfs Vickie.....soo hope you enjoy your anniversary getaway💜
Look fabulious ... though I live in an apartment and have one small freezer ... so pertaining to my space situation, how would I can them? Instead of brown sugar, how much molasses should I use? Suggestion: next time try an Italian herb mix instead of only oregano.
I have never tried molasses, so if I were using that, I would add the lowest amount I think would work, then taste (keep notes!). I do plan on trying to can this the next time I make it, but will need to research processing time, and also check for any ingredients that could be a problem. When I do that, I will post an update.
Vicky: Can you provide us with some input on canning this pizza sauce recipe, either water bath or pressure canning. Ex: Times and what ingredients to leave out and if we should increase the water in recipe for canning. Love your videos. Keep them coming. Would love to see more videos for off grid recipes ... making toothpaste, deodorant, lotions, shampoo, conditioners, dishwasher soap. OK, dishwasher soap is not off grid. LOL. Thanks a bunch.
I have been meaning to make more and can it, but had not done the research as far as ingredients and times, so thank you for asking! I consulted a number of canning books, and found that you can process tomatoe recipes in a pressure canner without added acids (lemon or lime juice, or citric acid), but ONLY in a pressure canner. That being said, there wasn't a recipe too close in texture, but I believe that if you leave out the butter or olive oil it should be ok. I would pressure can pints at 25 minutes for pints (or anything smaller), and if you wanted to do quarts, 30 minutes. You can add the butter or olive oil when opening to use. I have never added Parmesan cheese to a canned recipe, so I'm not sure how that would come out, but you might want to do the same with that. Again, this is only my opinion (I'm not an expert), so please use your own judgement as to what is best for you and your family! I do intend to do this myself, probably leaving out the oil and cheese. I am also planning more of those off grid recipes, hopefully I can find some time soon! Thank you and enjoy!
I want a sweet sauce. I cant find my mom's recipe, but it was slightly sweet and so delicious. I think I would use a sweet onion rather than onion powder.
How much they will sale the pizza slice at the cheapest pizza place in Brooklyn NY with this awesome pizza sauce mom ? This is a sauce for a weeding ..and some people ,will talk about this weeding all life long ..and I know what I am saying mom !
Happy Anniversary, Vicki. I don’t know you well, but I’m a super duper judge of character, so it’s clear to me that you and Brian are soulmates, like Steve and I were. Have a well deserved fun, relaxing and romantic getaway on your special day. Many blessings... jo
Thank you! I believe that we are soulmates - my Grandma thought so too, and pointed him out to me when I was 12. She told me "You're gonna marry that boy one day!" I thought she was crazy, but at our wedding, she said "I told you so!"
I didn't try it the first time because I only made a few jars. This time I was making late at night and leaving early the next day for our anniversary weekend, so it just didn't make sense.
unsolicited critique: It's confusing watching the video when you keep going back and forth single double batch. If you're making a double batch just tell exactly what it is and at one point, just mention that if you're making a single, just cut everything in half.
This have nothing to do with a Italian Pizza Sous. They just use Italian sliced Tomato’s and fresh basil. Maybe a bit of garlic, pepper and salt. But that’s it. And it’s not cooked. It will be cooked in the Ofen. Try it because it’s true Italian souses. It’s the same you eat at the Italian restaurants.
While it may be true that this isn't a 'True Italian Pizza Sous', no where in the description does it claim to be an 'Italian Pizza Sous'. Perhaps it's because she is making an American Pizza Sauce instead? Not that 'Italian Pizza Sous' isn't good as well, it is just different.
Your using fresh garlic, but then you add onion powder!! Why wouldn't you fry fresh chopped onion with the chopped garlic instead of inferior onion powder? Makes no sense to me.
Thank you for sharing this recipe. Made a batch & liked it, then made a double batch & canned it in 4 oz jars. It's working well for me to have it on the shelf in just the amount I need at a time. Thank you, praying for you, Happy Thanksgiving & God bless.
Best pizza sauce I have ever made, Thanks!!!! My family loves it! Happy Anniversary!
Oh, THANK YOU SO MUCH for this recipe. Looks perfect. I can't wait to make this. I also have those jars. Thanks for the freezing tip.
YUM! We be making this for sure and canning it, don't have room in the freezer. 10 thumbs up ! !
Awesome!
Thank you Vickie!! Made this yesterday and very good!! So happy to have it on my shelf. Appreciate your videos.

What kind of Parmesan cheese? Is it freshly grated or from a can?
Looks yummy Vickie! Congratulations on your 33 years anniversary!
Thank you!
What a great recipe Vicki thank you for sharing, have you tried pressure canning it yet?
Thank you! Not yet. I think I have one jar left in the freezer, but when I make it again I am planning on it.
Thank Vicki can not wait to watch!!!! I am so glad I found your channel.... you are a wonderful teacher. Have a blessed evening

Happy anniversary!!!🎉🎊💐
Thank you!
Don’t freeze it.
It’s already hot so you might as well can it.
Great recipe. 👍🏼
Can you still can it with the Parm cheese in it?
@@teufelshunde730 pretty sure you can. Do a sample. One jar for six months. Steady cool temperature in the dark.
Look fabulious ... though I live in an apartment and have one small freezer ... so pertaining to my space situation, how would I can them?

Looks wonderful. I'm totally going to make it this. Happy Anniversary ❤
Thank you!
I love your famous marinara sauce so much that I use it on pizza crusts with a little more oregano. Would you say this is better than that?
I really like this one for pizza sauce. I think it is a little more complex.
Happy anniversary....have a great weekend, love your sauce, I’m going to make this without the cheeses and can it up 😀👍🌸
Thank you! Please let me know how it turns out!
Vickie is it to thick to be canned? Sure looks good. Happy Anniversary wishing you the best years yet. 🍕🍕👍👍👍👍👍
I am sure that you could can without the cheese, but I am not sure how the cheese would be after canning.
I want a sweet sauce. I cant find my mom's recipe, but it was slightly sweet and so delicious. I think I would use a sweet onion rather than onion powder.
Can you can this pizza sauce in the canner?
I have not tried canning it yet, but I do plan on doing so in the future.
Have you canned this

I'm curious why you are freezing this and not canning it?
I didn't try it the first time because I only made a few jars. This time I was making late at night and leaving early the next day for our anniversary weekend, so it just didn't make sense.
Going to have to try this recipe, sounds good. Happy 33rd Anniversary!
Thank you!
Happy 33rd Anniversary. Hope you got to go. Enjoy the time together.
Thank you! We did, and this place is amazing!
You need more light
you should always cook the tomato paste first to cook out the rawness. but then again I dont use tomato paste

Your not wrong. But the hint of garlic is really what you want to come through the sauce.
