Yeah, I think they are slowly updating some old devices but there are still some that need to be refreshed like Analog, Sampler, etc. Idk if it's a priority for them though. I'm sure we will get more good updates before Live 13.

Wait what, you can? I didn't see this in the release notes.
How I can i do this?
In the Clip View, right-click on where you want to split the clip and there's a "Split Clip" option (cmd+shift+E). However it only works in the Arrangement view.
Not gonna lie I was not sure how useful the drum sampler would be, but damn, that's gonna be really great. Also excited to mess with Limiter.

Okay, that drum sampler is looking nice. Yup sounds like you can come up with some really intricate drums! Is the auto tagging a replacement for XO?
I haven't used XO but from what I know about it the auto tagging and the similarity search provide similar sample management features.

Can anyone tell me how I actually update to 12.1?
I had Standard but just got the Suite after I heard of these updates but I got the original 12.0 and I'm not getting any prompts about any updates. I have always ask turned on on updates and ableton website doesn't show the 12.1 update for manual download
It's in public beta as I said at the beginning of the video. You can sign up for the beta program from the link in the description and then you will be able to download it and use it. Or if you don't want to do that, you will get the automatic update once it's released officially.
@@LowHeatBeats oh Finally got it. Didn't know about Centercode and all those steps lol, it's not very straight forward and I couldn't find any videos on it without the right terms to search for. Thanks for the help

sry...never... the 5 % market is unimportant... Ableton LIVE is fixated to APPLE then WINDOS....
My guess is it won't happen any time soon, but who knows? The user base is very small compared to Mac and Win, so I assume the cost to benefit ratio isn't good enough.

All these are cool but I’m waiting for a key detection built into the sampler or simpler. Automatically tell me the key of samples, my kicks subs etc etc
Yeah, let's hope they add this next, it would be very helpful for polyphonic samples. For single notes like subs and synths you can already use the tuner to show you the note.

It’s probably one of the most requested features. My guess is it’s not easy/possible to implement it, otherwise they would have probably done it by now.
