- I clicked around a bit more on santa ana
this was outside of a project and made it easier to grasp
that wave file pictured seems to be the strumming pattern or picking / plucking of strings
I held down a single note to let it do it's thing
later in the video I show the arp and chord function as well
sorry no talking here just a screen rec - I can answer questions or do a video this week
Happy to see a second preview of this. I was thinking about getting Santa Ana myself. Tangent: Is your Gadget 3 defaulting to 'Ext' MIDI sync setting? Every time I open it on my iPhone it's set to that which means there's no play button in the actual app. I switch it to 'auto' and its fine. I should probably just report it to Korg either way, but I was just wondering if I'm the only one
You are not the only one. I have seen a few people post about the button and ext setting changing. I’m on a 1st gen 11” M1 Pro and iOS 17 with no issues so far. I have an older iPhone and it didn’t either. Hope the screen recs help, not a very thorough video but I know these help when buying apps. I have been messing quite a bit with gadget 3 so let me know if you any questions
I like Santa Ana or Santana lol. It’s very versatile and not using the bass gadget as guitar is a big plus
I don't get why the scale button is missing.
I think because it’s a new gadget and the scale settings are now in the play screen. While in the Santa Ana gadget look right above the gadget top left and click the play button-that will give u scale and arp options.
@@michaelnervOus That makes sense. Garageband handles this so much better still. I wish sometimes Korg would copy more and "innovate" less. If you go looking for design inconsistencies in Gadget you will begin to go crazy.
@@LucidMusicIncRecordings I hear ya. They approach apps like nintendo with games. It's the mario kart 8 of ios apps but we all keep playing cause it's fun. the worklfow just feels fun and the quirks cause some happy accidents. my only thing is I wish I didn't spend time trying to get it do things it can't.
@@michaelnervOus Spot on comparison. Each of the Gadgets has its particular strengths and weaknesses. That's true of all IOS apps, hence why I said I wish they could copy more and innovate less.
