In this video, our own Creative Director Doug shows us how to clean a pair of destroyed white Adidas Superstar Shell Toes. The Superstar was originally introduced to the shoe market as a low top version of a pro basketball silhouette in 1969. Over seventy percent of NBA players began wearing the Superstar because of its advanced technology and comfort for the time. Over the years the sneaker has become part of popular youth fashion and worn for casual instead of performance. Doug utilizes the Reshoevn8r Advanced 3-Brush Laundry System to revive these Shell Toes. He starts off with our Soft Bristled Brush to loosen up all the grim then moves on to the Medium Bristled Brush and finally the Stiff Bristled Brush to get all the stubborn dirt. The shoes already look great but he gets them back to looking one hundred percent by using the Advanced Laundry Detergent System. These came out great Doug! I had a pair of these brought to me for a Revive covered in red paint. Came out perfectly clean because they are such an iconic sturdy tough silhouette
Question: that shoes were new and made look dirty to clean them or they were proper few months old used shoes?
Got my first pair in the late 90s in high school. Everyone was wearing them back then and I had a bunch of colorways. I liked the thick tumbled leather they used back then.
I would love to see more videos with Doug. His voice is super chilling and he looks like is a very good person.

I got the red and blue stripes from the 70e-80e, the classical one :) but the rubber is yellowish now and I hope I can clean them so they are white again.

They usually do. These videos are all basically ads for their shoe cleaner along with tutorials on how to clean a shoe and some sort of satisfying videos to watch. One of the staff will dirty up the shoe (see 0:34) for another person to clean. They don't hide it, so there is no reason to get mad like shane about it.

I agree with you to degree. Yes, the guy admits that they made the trainers dirty but getting a new pair of Superstars and deliberately getting them dirty is different to cleaning a 4 year old pair with yellowed soles. For me personally, that doesnt show what this product can really do as it doesn't have to work that hard.@@thecheez2436

Back in 2016 I ordered a pair of superstars but this time was a personal custom made from the official site of course.

If you clean a pair of suede shoes, do you need to put them in the wash? Or just wipe them down?
Never put suede shoes into the washing machine unless it is absolutely necessary.
Do you guys dry them in washing machine?

altadena bugclub damn I bet. I love the colors! I was never able to find them around here but I went to dicks and I saw them! I was so excited haha. The material felt a little thin but i’m sure it’ll hold up fine from what i’ve heard. What about it makes it a pain to clean? And have you thrown them in the washer at all? I’m curious as to whether or not the colors will bleed or not
