That actually doesn't work, the first 10 minutes of the movie were edited by the company who made this trailers. And IMHO that 10 minutes were one the worst parts of the movie. They were supposed to build the characters, but there was only lots of music.
Even though I'm more Marvel, I'm really glad that DC is going the dark/mysterious route for its Movies. DC Movies seem to be targeted for the grown ups.

I was in the audience at Hall H during Comic Con 2015 for the DC presentation. They showed this trailer, and the house came down. 7,000 souls just clapping and cheering after watching this trailer on a screen(s) that went all around us. That's one superhero pop culture moment.

We're all seeing it this weekend and will probably get together to review it. I'm going despite the reviews it's fun to see bad movies and riff them in my head or when I'm around buddies at home. (I don't do that in theaters, but I can't help laughing at dumb stuff sometimes. My wife hated me seeing Twilight with her lol)
yeah, makes me wonder how much they cut and reshuffled scenes. A darker film overall might've been more consistent.... contrary to what WB seems to think, the darker, more realistic tone in DC movies makes me prefer it over Marvel.

Ye that's done out now. James Gunn got all the freedom he wanted and made a fantastic suicide squad, Snyder got his cut released, elseworld movies like Joker and The Batman are on the come up so ye...that try to be marvel phase is done.

This version of the film looks vastly better than the almost 2 hour music video we got instead. The tone, color palet, even Jared Letos Joker looked great. Unfortunate we never got to see this movie.
Funny thing is everyone complaining about Joker's look and all that, but he has no set look. He has no set personality. He has no set anything. Being psychotic and having green hair is about it. I fucking love that they're doing something completely different, because if they didn't you all would complain that he's just copying Ledger. Even when we see something different you all still bitch. Maybe it'll work or maybe it won't, but the important thing is he looks and acts downright fucking terrifying and psychotic and that's all that really matters.

I think that's what makes joker interesting, he can be played in such a broad range of styles and each one is just as interesting to watch as the last. I thought the last scene portrayed a pretty obvious joker, like he definitely has the joker voice and the look is more jagged but I think it's cool. Obviously everyone's gonna compare it to ledgers joker, and ledgers was fucking awesome, but I still can't wait to see how this incarnation is pulled off.

I think they're gonna incorporate Gunn's The Suicide Squad. It releases shorty after The Snyder Cut, Joker is being completely reprised by Leto, Margot will be playing Harley in The Suicide Squad, so it can possibly all tie together.

Nicholsonm Ledger, and Leto are three different portrayals, and I love how they are unique in their own way.

I actually found him to be the most frightening/intimidating version of the joker, because he's a cold, calculating, manipulative sociopath (as seen in how he got Harley Quinn, one of the most badass women in DC, wrapped around his little finger - by ticking every box in emotionally abusive and controlling partner bingo) which is someone you can very easily imagine existing IRL - because they already do (whereas psychotic trigger happy clowns - not so much 😂)

After watching Suicide Squad, all I can think of is that I wanted to watch this darker version of it. Seriously, I was eager for this, not that teenage-esque stuff.

Apparently this trailer represents David Ayer's original vision of the movie. After Batman V Superman sank (which was also heavily edited, check out the Ultimate Edition) and Deadpool succeeded they decided to turn it into the comedy. Same thing happened to Justice League after Snyder left the project. They hired Weadon to basically make this the next Marvel flick and it turned out to be this Frankenstein's monster of a movie we know today. Warner Bros, man. What a joke.

Lazyboy5298 Everyone criticized him when they heard his name but changed their tune when they actually saw him acting. It's been just the opposite with Jared Leto. Everyone thought he would be great for the joker but then they saw this and realized maybe he won't do that great of a job after all.

Heath also hadnt brought his full talent to the table yet, so people were still skeptical on could he do it. Leto, we have seen his pretty much "top" for acting, and it wont top heath. But the idea never made it past pre-prod. By the time they started filming, Incubus had completely replaced Steppenwolf.

Man David Ayer can make a film. The movie he did before this was fury and it won a bunch of awards . End of watch is amazing and harsh times.... let's not forget he wrote training day . Those movies are in line with more of his style. The editor of suicide squad said it was originally darker and more militarized. I can see that , most movies he made were about military and cops. Suicide squad originally was supposed to be fully scored most likely and leave all the popular music out. I bet we will see that film one day.
