That tone of voice and question is a power play: she makes you explain yourself. She doesn’t need an argument or a strong foot to stand on, which you normally would need when making accusations. Instead she can just come there, play “concerned and nice” and make you explain yourself and defend yourself against her undefined concerns. “You make me feel concerned, explain this to me!” The answer to get out of this is to say: “what is it that you are concerned about” and keep making her explain herself. Delegitimize her weaponized feelings, don’t legitimize them by explaining yourself.
How quickly we go from "the gays are recruiting" to "no, we're born this way. It's biology" to "sexuality is just a social construct."
This is why so many gay people dislike this movement. Decades of research on homosexuality in humans and animals is thrown out the window, because sexuality and science are just a "social constructs" now. That's obviously bs when animals can be gay too. Being gay is a biological fact, non-binary is the only "social construct".

It’s been happening for years but the fact college, ya know the place you go to learn about the world and different opinions, is not a place where you can openly discuss different ideas is DISTURBING. These people paying for college are burning their money they aren’t getting an education they’re getting talked at with no thoughts needed from their end. Study the questions and answers and pass the test, don’t think anything past what we tell you. I swear to god I had more critical thinking in my high school debate class than most college campuses have anywhere. A super liberal girl had to defend conservative values for class and she actually LEARNED something and came away a more rounded person. I was trying to get at that if some one thinks or does have a Mental condition, they should get help and learn to cope with what they have so they do not harm the people around them or think that society needs to change for them. I do not agree with social justice etc and I do believe the students and people inside are being coddled as you put it by essentially being put in an echo chamber and refusing to think or listen to outside information that runs against the beliefs they already hold. I disagree with #3. Stereotypes are useful at saving time. Purple hair and Ukraine flag t-shirts are a remarkably effective way of telling people your intentions. It's very kind of them to make their identity known with 99.999% accuracy so we know who to avoid.

And part of that indoctrination is disincentivizing critical thinking, making the initiates more emotionally unbalanced (and thus easier to manipulate), limiting access to ideas that might challenge or undermine the ideology's mythology/metaphysics, alienating initiates from family and healthy/sane social networks, and making the initiates feel dependent on the institution for guidance and resources. EDIT: Also I do know what they meant by social workers: they said they came down from the social services office, they work at the school and are in the student union to be more "welcoming" and accessible. If trans students did see the signs, these are exactly the people they would talk to and get absence notes from. They feel like its their job (and it probably literally is in Portland) to protect these students.
These "social workers" aren't really social workers anymore, they are being wielded as thought police. No wonder mental health access is going downhill in colleges- they don't care about actually helping their students anymore, only promoting the narrative.

Casual viewer here.
Not sure if this was covered in the stream or something but I think it's been understated how pivotal the schools of social work have been in promoting malignant social justice, critical theory, gender ideology, etc. A lot of research in those topics comes from social work faculty and the discipline itself combines and synthesizes these subjects into activist education.
I'd say this is just anecdotal, but I am pretty sure the NASW has its hand in most Social Work curriculums so there is likely some uniformity among university departments; the curriculum for bachelor's level social work is primarily activist focused as opposed to therapeutic/psychology focused for clinical work, which was surprising to me. There are literal courses for social justice and advocacy. I went through the program without cracking a book and made the Dean's list every time, so that's the level of difficulty we're talking about here and there are no practical skills to really speak of being taught on the B.S. (lol) level.
Other things to note: major heroes heralded in social work circles are obscure communist and socialist figures, though they aren't usually mentioned as such; much of the non-academic literature available to students is written by folks like that. Speaking personally, it turned out my economics teacher was a marxist (funny anecdote there that i wont go into here).
Programs like the one I went through will make you view the world in such a way that the Young Turks will seem like neutral objective news. but luckily I got out with my sanity in tact.

@@whiskeyhound National Association of Social Workers (NASW). Like many professions, it's just an industry organization. However such organizations can inform policy and curriculum, best practices, etc.
@@derp8575 I generally value education but soft sciences are a really mixed bag. In my experience, Social Work was 80% ideological conditioning, 20% human behavior/therapy. Which at best should be inverted. Can't speak to graduate level stuff here since I pivoted out of the field.
I also studied Public Administration (education I valued way more) which has yet to be fully ideologically captured but it's coming; new versions of textbooks started having CRT themed and Gender chapters as I was graduating.

I'm reminded of when our AP Lit class (circa 2007) decided to hold a Stop the Madness protest.

We made ridiculously generic protest signs, some that were self-contradictory. Our most powerful message was Save the Turtles. It turned into a goofy social gathering, maybe a couple dozen high schoolers on the city's most popular protest corner.
It was a joke, but remarkable how many people flipped birds without even thinking about it. Maybe they just hated turtles. But people would go by, see a group holding non-descript signs, and just jump to an emotional conclusion.
Had I been there, I would have asked to play the game. It makes me so sad that college students are afraid of questions and discussion.

So I have to study all this trauma care and stuff for career reasons - and maybe it's different since I'm in another country - but the one thing you're constantly told is to always stay within your jurisdiction. You always have to act, even with something like mandatory reporting for kids, within the limits of what your role is - you don't go off and do some private investigating and approach people on the street and interrogate them. And you have those limits because you're not trained in going beyond them and you will probably end up doing more harm than good. If these brainlets are taught that, then it clearly flew over their heads.
