The therapist is correct. Any time anyone goes through trauma, everything in the body remembers the trauma - every detail. The reaction time may not be right away, but the person will be forever affected. Denying any reaction to trauma is extremely foolish, to say the least, for all parties involved. Therapy is needed for everyone, at some point in time, so they know how to deal with the feelings they already have about the situation, or the ones they develop. If therapy does happen for Makayla, Kim and Adam - together, there may be hope for them yet.
I really had high hopes of Adam & Kim getting back together they deserve a happy ending. They been through so much together why can’t they just finally be happy together and as a family. Adam truly loves Kim & Makayla

I think we FINALLY have a breakthrough with Kim. Is she realising how Mikayla needs them both together as a family ? That case triggered something with Kim and moving into that house is a great new step for Burzek
A great new step would be for Kim to get therapy for her own issues and get out of this migraine of a relationship.
It’s good that they’re in therapy. They’re working through some of their own issues also. What people don’t realize is Adam deeply hurt Kim back in the day. It’s been hard for her to trust Him again, but she’s getting there slowly by realizing how He’s changed and how great He’s with Makayla. Also both Marina & Patrick already said that Burzek is endgame but they’ll have to work through their issues first. Haters can hate on them all they want, but I can’t wait until they’re finally together and I predict they’ll be by next season.
@@yeahright8970 I'm not sure how Adam hurt Kim deeply in the past when all he did was love her, was there for her for every single minute and all she did was yell at him, walk away from him and blame him for everything that was wrong in her life.
@@LotsofLisa If Kim wanted truly to be done she would have done it seasons ago. She never did because she knows Adam and her do fit together if only she allows it to work.
@@tkh1231 I meant when they were engaged. Adam left his previous fiancée for Kim and got engaged to Kim when he clearly wasn’t ready. He led Kim on and she fell deeply for him only to realize He didn’t really want to get married.

YOU ARE SO RIGHT. I keep saying that as well. She should thank her lucky stars every day she has Adam in her life. Something will happen, and Kim will always blame Adam and beats him up, instead of herself.

Burzek might not ever be happy again but at least Mykayla is there for them.
I've fallen behind on a few episodes due to life getting busy but with this scene, it seems like Burgess is deflecting her own trauma by assuring the therapist that Mak is perfectly fine. Burgess has been through the wringer too and it's impossible for some of that to not resurface at some point; she has to be pushing down some PTSD of some kind.
Chicago PD been killing it this season as the season finale looks crazy. I hope they add Torres and Milena from Med to the team next season!

There’s 2 episodes left. Riley Voelkel (Milena) is on a show that was renewed for season 3 and she’s a key character on that show. I have a bad feeling she may die by the finale.
@@WickedlyMe328 That's my fear but the good thing is that show doesn't have a schedule like the Chicago shows, it just shoots for a couple of months. Her character could be saved but I do fear it can go either way.
Adam would be stupid to buy Kim that house, he should do it for Mykayla but Kim ain't worth it.
I really believe Kim loves Adam but she's not IN love with him. She keeps him at a distance, like she's better than him, he's beneath her or something. Sorry, that's the way I feel.

The only one that needs therapy here is Kim. She doesn't want to see reality, she wants to live with everything is great and it will stay that way and if and when it doesn't she will fall apart. She and Makayla are very lucky to have Adam here, he has come a long way and is a great dad to Makayla and keeps Kim grounded, hope they keeps them happy for atleast awhile. Fans deserve it.
OMG THANK YOU!! I have been watching old episodes while keeping up with current ones. Kim fits the PD family as far as female/smart, etc. But when it comes to her as some uppity female personally- totally.! She doesn't even deserve Adam. She broke up the engagement cuz of what ROMAN said?? Some dumb test?? She can't think for herself?? Where is her heart for him?? She is waiting for MR PERFECT..GEEZUS. Let the guy go then. She treats him like crap, he sleeps on the couch. WTH is that?? I have grown to really dislike her cuckoo female issues although I like her as a Cop as part of the team. She drives me nuts. I wish HE WOULD DUMP HER. HE DESERVES BETTER.

In these past season ive seen Kim and Adam's Journey in their relationship and career!. I say they grown up as parents while taking care of Mikayla.

He agreed to raise a child with this woman how much more committed does he have to be? how much more proof does this woman need? Adam has proven his commitment over and over and over again. I honestly would like a new Story arc for Voight. I would like some Story related to Olinsky's wife and daughter after his death. We never knew nothing about them and it would be interesting to see something related to that, since Olinsky's wife never trusted Voight..she even blame him for Olinsky’s death.

I can tell that Kim's going to say no, even if she says yes she doesn't mean it because of her actions, if you really want that with him and Makayla mean it by your actions not say yes and then regret that decision later. Her actions proves to me that she's not interested and don't really want too. The writers just needs to end that could completely they were better off as friends than something more than that.

Adam Ruzek is a great and passiant guy but please guys out there dont take an example of him because Kim burgess treats him like garbage and nobody should allowe anyone to be like that o him i dont underatand why the actor/actreas likes there role and why they call it realistic or an adult relationships i would never want a relationship like that and one like that would never ever work burzek was really a reason why i have loved to watch the Show but now its although a reason why i eont like to wtahc it anymore the one chicago universe do has a really big Problem with relatiobships i think the only healthy ones are stellaride and mouch and trudy

Burzek is the slowest train wreck in tv history. I miss the days Voight forbid his team to date each other. Now there’s a married couple, a pathetic couple and a black guy that can only manage to have one night stands every decade or so for some reason. Law & Order universe has been on forever, keeps getting better and had the smoothest crossover transition I’ve ever seen last week. Meanwhile, in Chicagoland, population over 20 million, Trudy has 2 sentences, the dating pool consists of only 3 people and no one has any idea how to write for a decent black man…
Voight just got tired of talking he was forbidding it and they still was dating so he just got over it

That's a good idea ... the unit needs fresh faces or better yet the district needs patrol officers serving under Platt, bring her back into the limelight, divide the episode between patrol and Intelligence again

There is scene when Kim & Adam looking for the suspect at rental space. And she see him calls Adam honey, Adam immediately knows to cover his badge then they're in sync. Personal relationship is problem not work relationship. But they work so much they think it's the same thing.
I wish Adam would get a woman who'll give him the time if day. Her attitude is getting on my nerves.

I agree. It is such an UNREALISTIC STORY LINE.The kid needs diverse friends and perhaps a parenting couple that are really happy together and not the guy sleeping on the sofa. Kim is a psycho and not the healthiest for Makayla. The kid will eventually figure out there is something off and unhealthy with this Princess and the guy set up. Because Kim''s love is NOT THERE FOR ADAM, the kid is missing that ingredient from parents. They mean well but they treat her like a project. Especially Kim. Adam has more soul than Kim.
