They belong with each other. They're always drawn back together and have overcome so much already. Losing the baby brought them closer. If they break them up for good to that's a relationship going to waist. Investing so much into a couple for them not to end up together would be a shame.
Yeah... wonder what would happen if they actually introduced new characters to even give them the opportunity to have other options. The on/off has started to feel like a fallback plan for the writers.
@@wordeeone4996 I think from what has happened in the last of the eps of the season with her naming him as the custodian and him taking care of Makayla will be what brings them closer together. I know she loves him too she just doesn't show it as much as he does but I think this will make her realize that he is mature and wants to be with her.

I think she loves him but doesn't want to get serious because that'll make things harder on her. Like how she realized he didn't love her as much as she loved him in the early stages of their relationship. And how they lost the baby. She doesn't want to go through that stuff again. But hopefully she'll see, especially after last episode, that he's grown over the years, knows what he wants, and isn't going to be irrational about it.
I wonder when those two will actually get married to the point where Makayla calls Adam “dad”

@@retired42002vz yes I agree. They weren't very good at communicating that way. When Roman first mentions it being dangerous to be engaged to another cop it started planting the seed of doubt in her head. I hate Roman.

Hard core Chicago PD fan here who loves me some Adam. He has always been transparent regarding his feelings for Burgess. I am almost to the point to where I want them to go their separate ways due to Kim's attitude. It may be temporary but right now not feeling her character and I hope her actions going forward to change my mind.
Frankly, I really want the showrunners to let Atwater (my fave) to have a decent social and love life. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever for a man that juicy to not have a vibrant love life.😨😵😉😜

Last week's episode , about Rusek's dad, looks like things are going be bad between Burgess and Rusek for awhile.
I understood where Adam was coming from but I wish he had let her explain cuz let’s be honest the stuff Adam said in the car I thought he was gonna kill him too so I’m with Kim
I sure hope they can talk it out. I was not liking that dialogue between them. Hopefully when Adam clears his head & tries to understand where Kim was coming from, they’ll get it together. He had one helluva shift Thursday that will take time to comprehend all of the events that took place. Not to mention he killed the perk. It all came at him so fast, he was just reacting with zero time to really think things through. As he said to Voight, “that’s my father”. We know they have had a shaky relationship at times & this loan with the sharks was like icing on the cake for Adam, but he wasn’t going to let him get killed. Burzek looked so cozy making dinner plans. They have to get officially back together!!!
I think it'll open her eyes to the man he's become. She's been so distant because they've had so much on and off time with their relationship to the point where she doesn't know what she wants and he used to be irrational with their relationship. But I think seeing that he thinks things through and knows what he really wants will show her that he's changed
I'm thinking all things she has doubting and has been so comfortable she is taking it for granted. It seems the writers were leading up to this one big fight. I think she will wake up and realize what she has done. The whole part up to the big fight she was affectionate to him and looks at him with heart eyes all the time.
Adam will always love Kim more than Kim loves Adam. That’s the unfortunate truth about their relationship.

@@venusmoodie4874 true and I agree about how she felt initially. But as we’ve seen over the years, Adam is and will always be in love with her. She’s the love of his life and always has been. With Kim, it’s different. There was a time when he was the love of hers but that shifted over the years. She was capable of having relationships outside of him. However, the present Adam we know now has grown and matured and learned what he wants out of life (and for him that’s a life with Kim). Does Kim love him the same way that he loves her or is she merely reminded of his familiarity and finds comfort in that? The last episode shows exactly that. Granted there’s arguments for both of them being right in what happened this past episode, it is absolutely soul crushing knowing that the one person who is supposed to believe in you no matter what can think so lowly of you...it changes you.
I think she's just scared to go further with him because of all they've been through. In the beginning she loved him more than he loved her and that was kind of like a wake up call for her, that maybe this wouldn't work out. The engagement break off really hurt her and she probably doesn't want to go through that again. Then they lost the baby and she blames herself. She wants to distance herself so that they don't get so serious and she'll have to go through more hardship. She doesn't really see how much he's grown. I feel like after the latest episode she'll finally be able to see that he's not as irrational as he used to be. He's got more control now and thinks things through, maybe this'll further their relationship because she'll finally see that.
@@alicoop3195 yeah I agree, for the first time he was the one pissed at her and she had no words when Adam slammed the door in her face, she didn’t even knock on the door again. She realized she really hurt him. He felt probably betrayed by her of all people.

Kim has no idea what she wants. He wanted to marry her, she said no. She broke his heart, she slept with roman a week after breaking up with ruzek.
But he also didn’t tell her that he was engaged before and also agreed to push the wedding date without hesitation. But I absolutely stan these two, they’re adorable together and I want them together again!!!
The problem is that he never tells her how much he loves her and she fears that he might just want to be with her because he feels like that is the right thing to do. Once he proposed to her because she was pregnant for example. Or after they hooked up this season, he said "Or we could do the thing were we sleep together on a regular basis - that'd be called dating" I mean her fears are definitely reasonable. What bothers me is that she literally told him what she wants: She wants someone who's all in. Marriage, Family, Commitment. And that would have been the moment for Adam to clear things up and to tell her that he truly loves her because of her and not because he feels committed
@@findielfuchs3761 In that episode 8 × 05 Adam says YES I want to keep talking but the radio interrupted them. And when Adam tells him that if he wanted to go to dinner so he could talk he also tells him that they would turn off her radio so as not to be interrupted and that's when Kim notifies him that she would take Makayla to her house. That slowed things down.

Its Kim's fault that they aren't together she let Roman into her head about his previous relationships even though he knew nothing about their relationship and then kim did that dumb push test that roman told her about and she did it and it caught poor adam off guard he thought it was a inncoent statement and not a test and she slept with the same guy that ruined her life and then adam had no idea untill the court episode and then after they broke up she didn't even want to fixs things with adam she moved on like nothing and she didn't look back about how she hurt adam she should be ashamed of herself. Adam ruzek deserves way better or by himself or should have a kid of his own to rise.

They were never met to be in the first place. Adam needs to move on from Kim and find someone else. I had never liked them together romantically anyway too much drama between them, and back and forth between them either they're together romantically or just friends or sleeping together all the time. They needed to break up along time ago
