  • Sorry for the crappy quality, I couldn't figure out how to rip it. Sadly this is the shortest clip of all of them :( Please enjoy the genius that is Miss Kahn. affairwitthepast, you're welcome :) Just upload more Oh Madeline's

My singular MISfortune having NOT seen such irrepressible BRILLIANCE from the VISIONARY casting of three (3) such disparate, & yet SO singularly UNITED, oxymoron aside, gifted & immensely talented thesps, as Alexander, Klein & richly deserved Tony winner, the legendary Ms. Kahn!!!❤❤❤!!! 👍🥰

This is AMAZING. Thank you for uploading! I wish there were more videos/recordings of classic broadway shows...it makes me sad to think of how many incredible performances I have missed

They used to have them all on tape at Lincoln Center. Maybe look online and see if you can still access them through their library.

In 1992 I saw a black box workshop of this at the Seattle Rep. The actors held scripts but the show had been blocked out; they were not just sitting around a table. Wendy Wasserstein was in residence and after each run through (it was performed four times from Thursday to Sunday only) she and the cast gathered on stage for feedback. That cast was fantastic, including Mary Tyler Moore (RIP) as Sara Goode, Martha Plimpton, Tom Hulse and Anita Gillette.
