So I was reading what you said and I went and found out what the writer intended by "reckless love" I hope you understand his heart.
"Many have asked me for clarity on the phrase, “reckless love”. Many have wondered why I’d use a “negative” word to describe God. I’ve taken some time to write out my thoughts here. I hope it brings answers to your questions. But more than that, I hope it brings you into an encounter with the wildness of His love.
When I use the phrase, “the reckless love of God”, I’m not saying that God Himself is reckless. I am, however, saying that the way He loves, is in many regards, quite so. What I mean is this: He is utterly unconcerned with the consequences of His actions with regards to His own safety, comfort, and well-being. His love isn’t crafty or slick. It’s not cunning or shrewd. In fact, all things considered, it’s quite childlike, and might I even suggest, sometimes downright ridiculous. His love bankrupted heaven for you. His love doesn’t consider Himself first. His love isn’t selfish or self-serving. He doesn’t wonder what He’ll gain or lose by putting Himself out there. He simply gives Himself away on the off-chance that one of us might look back at Him and offer ourselves in return.
His love leaves the ninety-nine to find the one every time. To many practical adults, that’s a foolish concept. “But what if he loses the ninety-nine in search of the one?” What if? Finding that one lost sheep is, and will always be, supremely important.
His love isn’t cautious. No, it’s a love that sent His Own Son to die a gruesome death on a cross. There’s no “Plan B” with the love of God. He gives His heart so completely, so preposterously, that if refused, most would consider it irreparably broken. Yet He gives Himself away again. The recklessness of His love is seen most clearly in this - it gets Him hurt over and over. Make no mistake, our sin pains His heart. And “70 times 7” is a lot of times to have Your heart broken. Yet He opens up and allows us in every time. His love saw you when you hated Him - when all logic said, “They’ll reject me”, He said, “I don’t care if it kills me. I’m laying My heart on the line.”
To get personal, His love saw me, a broken down kid with regret as deep as the ocean; My innocence and youth poured out like water. Yet, He saw fit to use me for His kingdom because He’s just that kind. I didn’t earn it and I sure as heck don’t deserve it, but He’s just that good. Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God."

Always seeking out that list lamb, rejoicing when s/he’s brought home to the flock. The Good Shepard never leaves us lost. We just have to listen for His voice, and He will call us home.
The Good Shepherd who cares for 1, cares for 99 too the same as he cares for that 1. And As much love he has for 1, he has for 99 individually. He chases that 1, because that was lost while the other 99 were in the flock. So it’s always logical.
It’s not irresponsibility and not senseless. But it is the quality of good Shepherd who cares for each sheep of his flock. When other Shepherds didn’t care for the sheep when they were lost, He did. May be those Shepherd care did their life. They didn’t want to take risk for 1 lost sheep. But He went to the wilderness and brought back the lost one. These 99 the flock was in safe place. The one that was lost that went to wilderness. The good Shepherd didn’t want that roaring Lion and beasts of the wilderness eat the lost sheep. The good Shepherd knew he can defeat the roaring Lion, he can defeat the beasts of wilderness. He is wise and brave, Kind and merciful.

when i was 15yrs old, i tried committing suicide. i took 20 pills. i was so close to death. my whole body swelled up. i got bumps all over my body. my throat was startin to close up and i could barely even breathe. i knew i was seconds away from death. i was gasping for air. i got scared and regretted it right away. i wished ive never done it. for the first time in my life, i cried out to God and told him i dont wanna die. i jus need help. plz help me. plz help me. i wept. within seconds, i felt this warmth, love and peace surround me. i knew for a fact it was God. within seconds, he healed my whole body. i could breathe. swelling was gone. he instantly delivered me from suicidal thoughts and depression after strugglin with it for 6yrs. psychiatrists and psychologists and takin their medicine never helped. the only thing that WORKED was when i cried out to God and asked him for help. he instantly saved me and delivered me and performed miracles on me. he gave me a new outlook on life. for once in my life i actually wanted to live and not die. that was something odd for me cuz for 6yrs i wanted to die so bad. my mom had cancer and shes the reason why i tried taking my life cuz i didnt wanna lose her. i lost her at 16yrs old and lost my dad at 17yrs old. i didnt kno Jesus until i was 24 n a half yrs old. im 25 now n my relationship with Jesus is so strong. hes helped me change into a whole diff person. ppl actually see the miraculous change in me. if it wasnt for Jesus, id be dead right now. The only healer u need is Jesus. hes our healer. Go to Jesus for healing. im living proof 😊💖 Jesus loves u😊💖 he wants u to repent and forsake ur sins, be born again and place ur faith n trust in him. start havin a personal relationship with Jesus and obey him 😊💖

this is true. I used to suffer from depression and anxiety attacks as well. I never believed those medicines prescribed to me. I got my healing from God Himself and His love through those people who really cares fr me. God is the God of impossible.

People at "my church" make fun of Steff for taking off her shoes during worship and dancing. But when the Presence of God came to Moses, God told him "take off your shoes, this is ░h░o░l░y░ ░g░r░o░u░n░d░ " Where ever the Presence of God flows IS Holy Ground and David danced during his worship all the time. I'm praying for a next generation of Biblical Worshippers who go all in and care more about what God thinks (like Steff) than the world. When I taught Sunday school for preschoolers, one of them took off her sandals. I put them back on. She didn't argue or resist...but as soon as I turned around to pay attention to someone else, her sandals were back off. Other children wanted to do it, too. This happened with another 3 year-old who kept running around "wild" at another church, too. When I was like, "What's going on, Lord?", He reminded me of how He told Moses to take his sandals off because he was on holy ground. After that, I let them take off their sandals and keep them off if they wanted.
After I left that ministry (because the leaders were not praying about how to run it!), I was still on the mailing list and saw the ministry director telling the teachers the "new rules" for children taking off shoes. Surprise: they couldn't do it! I prayed for them. New "new rules": if the children take off their shoes, then the teachers should at least have them back on by the time the parents come to pick them up. lol
I used to get all of the "free spirited" prophetic children who could hear God very well even at an early age. I became a believer very young but "forgot" my faith when my parents "forgot" theirs and discouraged me from growing in my relationship with God. But God wouldn't stop chasing me until I learned to ignore what unbelievers say and believe Him. He sure does recklessly stalk and reclaim His lost "sheep"...then turns us into reckless shepherds, too! I definitely have a heart for protecting prophetic children's faith against religiosity and doubt.
Kingdom Songwriting such truth, you speak. Oh, that all believers would be free to worship!!! It’s no one’s right to judge her bare feet or piercings or dancing !!!! I love that she is so sold out she clearly doesn’t care,, even about make up! She is REAL. She is a worship leader. She has a real passion for God, and THAT IS WHAT MATTERS!!!

Keep the faith I'm 32 now and I'm being healed by the holy spirit after being through so much trauma. Professional help is good too if you need it but I'm just sharing, he is there. He is with you when it feels like nobody is there.

I went through a stage of being an atheist. Then I became an agnostic. I ruined my life from selling drugs and using drugs. I didn’t know there was a God in heaven that loved me with such an intense love that words can’t describe that type of love. On October 3rd 2016, after almost a month of praying and pleading with God to help me and show me if He was real, God heard my cries and answered me. I was baptized in the Holy Spirit in my prison cell almost 3 years ago that October night. MY LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME. I have a hope that nothing can kill. Steven Larkin when I first read this verse as a young girl of about 16, I answered "Erm, that's you Jesus, YOU would go after it, me, I would say, as long as I have 99, you can get lost if you like, it'll be your funeral, sheep" I felt like a warm smile in my heart at that, and that's why I still remember it, lol

Isn't it amazing. Our sins are as far away as the east is to the west. I pray you stay the course, run the race. I pray this in Jesus name. I'm a prodigal too. Messed my life up as well. God turns it around for our good though and something's take much longer than other aspects of our life. When I back slid I had a child with a non Christian. My son is now 6 and lives with his dad. It's devastating. I do see him though. Perhaps a third of the year. It's been 5 years since he and I split and I have just bought myself a unit. That was a miracle in itself. The next miracle I'm waiting on is having my son back in my care. I believe it will happen will just take time.

Once I ran away from God, trying to hide from him. I blurred him out of my life so I could try to be "popular" at my school.. this was when everything in my life was just dead to me. My best friend didn't like me anymore, I didn't really KNOW God, I hated my personality type (ISTP) and my friends. I didn't talk to anyone except my sister so I told her that God wasn't really vivid in my life anymore and that night she showed me this song they played at Camp 220 (which I have yet to experience) and it felt like God picked me up and threw me into realization that he LOVED ME! After doubting him, using him, hating him, screaming at him, and SO many other things! This song was used by God to bring me back and without it I would probably be stuck in that awful situation again.

I had a boil wouldn't heal for 6years, went through different antibiotics and I gave up on God healing me. When I thought it was impossible, I woke up one morning and it was gone. Lucy Mae There's no reason to be ashamed!! We all struggle to be totally free or with other things! It's amazing you want to be more free when you worship :) The Lord delights when you worship, however you do it, and all you gotta do is ask God to help you be more free and take away your inhibitions in worship:) I get it can be embarrassing or awks and it's not as easily fixed as flicking a switch but I always find it helpful to remember I'm worship the God of the entire universe and everything in it. I was such a disaster before God. I blamed Him for everything wrong in my life. I had so much hate towards Him and I made it obvious everywhere I went. The PTSD, OCD, bipolar , severe anxiety, were so bad. They completely took over my life. I was so afraid to leave my house because I was a mess in public. I stayed far away from people. I was so afraid. 26 years of abuse did this to me. The anger and unforgiveness was causing physical pain. I was suicidal constantly, everyday . I was so desperate. Nothing and no one could help me. My psych doctor was so frustrated. We tried everything. Nothing would relieve the depression and anxiety. I was so done with life. Then one day I prayed, I begged for Him to at least take the pain. The pain healed instantly. So, I started praying everyday, constantly. UA-cam prayer videos helped me because I couldn't remember how to pray. Words wouldn't come out. I have let go of my past, and walk as closely to God as I can. I have been completely delivered from all my diagnosis, from all the abuse, the victim mentality, He is healing my marriage, healing my kids. For the first time in 27 years I can honestly say I feel alive, I feel set free, I am full of peace, I love waking up in the morning, I love His presence. I never would have believed that the God of the universe, the King of Kings, could love or want me of all people, a lost, ugly soul. Even after all I've done. He loves me. He loves us all, no matter how far we've wandered, no matter the ugliness of our hearts and minds, He loves us with His overwhelming, never ending wreck less love of His.

I first heard this song about a week ago, during Focus Week, a weeklong retreat for Intervarsity chapters across the state of Florida. I was speechless hearing this song. When I was his foe, Jesus fought for me. When I had no hope. Jesus gave it all for me. I only truly started following Him two years ago, and yet I've felt Him guiding me throughout my life. Guiding my decisions, my actions, working in the background of my life. This song made me realize that even if it seems like He isn't helping, that He isn't caring, that he is. Because He helped me even as I was His foe, His unbeliever. There's nothing He wouldn't do to come after me. I can only hope to return the favor to Him throughout the rest of my life.

About 2, almost 3 months ago, I got out of a car wreck and walked away when I should have died in it. I was driving a car that I had since April 2019. It was a 2018 Hyundai elantra. I had jammed a 1 litre Dr pepper bottle into my small cup holder before leaving. The thing ended up popping out because of the pressure, and when I turned to see what made the noise, I looked back and had only a fraction of a second to brake before hitting a pickup truck that I didn't see stopping, ready to turn left. I tried to stop and turn to the right, but I was going the speed limit in a 50 mph zone. I scream "JESUS, HELP!" My car hit with its bumper on the driver side on the trucks bumper. Their trailer hitch went straight through my left headlight. Airbags deployed but my head never hit them, everything kind of goes crazy. Thats when I heard God's voice telling me, "I still have plans for you here." I couldn't open my door, but my seatbelt was able to come loose. Not enough space to get to the other door, so I grabbed a recue hammer from my center console and shattered my window and pulled myself out. The other guy had driven his truck out of the way of traffic, undamaged save for a medium sized dent in his rear bumper. The other guy told me he would help me get the driver out of the vehicle and was surprised when I said I was the driver. I literally had not a single scratch on me. Thats when I looked at my car from the outside for the first time. The front was pushed in toward the driver side, and basically would have killed the driver almost on impact. The hood was literally 5 inches from going through the windshield and decapitating me. We called 9-1-1 and the police and later an ambulance show up, I get checked out and the paramedics said there was no damage to my body, and no head injuries. Not even broken ribs from the seatbelt. I realized how small the seatbelt was and I remembered feeling something really thick going across my chest, preventing me from going forward. I believe it to be Gods arm that saved me. They said it was luck, I said "no, it's a *miracle."* and explained my walk with Christ, shared my testimony with them, and explained the power of simply asking God into any situation in your life, as I did about 45 minutes before I started talking with them. I even prayed for one of them, and I prayed for the police officer as well. I felt extremely calm in one of the most chaotic incidents in my life. To this day I still feel no effects of what should have certainly been the cause of my death, and it really would have been the end of my life if it were not for God stepping in. And I knew that God would provide me with a way to get around. And that came to reality when about 3 weeks ago, I was looking for a car to buy, and I found a person who was selling their car for about $10,000, which was already cheap as it was, but I did not have the money to pay for it yet. I still went over to look at it and be sure it was in good condition and not a fake listing on the website I found it on. I asked the owner questions about it, and about the history of it, things like that. But then they asked me if I was in a car wreck on the exact date it was on and I said yes. That was when I saw in the spirit that they were also a Christian. I told them God revealed to me they were a Christian. They said they knew it was me that God told them about and that if I went to see the vehicle, they were to give it to me for free. *Which they did!* We prayed together and I thanked them and thanked God for his provisions, and now I am driving a year old Mazda CX-5 that god provided to me for free! God has been good to me, and has certainly never let me down.

I went to the sunday morning Service at Harvest church in Riverside and they played this song and boy did it it hit me, been having such a bad couple of days stressing of whats next for me in my life and for those minutes i felt like everything was going to be ok after i got out i felt like my mind and heart were clear and ready to take the next step which is finally getting baptized i think i need to do this first and then worry whats next with my personal life.. i feel blessed and so glad they decided to play this song on the day i went.. :D

I was one semester from becoming a licensed teacher in Toledo. I felt suicidal and had a mental breakdown in a classroom at Byrndale Junior High School in Toledo, Ohio.
I walked out of that classroom and spent 12 years going in and out of psych wards, jail cells, and now sleep in my mother's bedroom in a trailer park on the east side.
It sucks but I have food and I sometimes sleep. I'll go even further next time to prove theirs hope somewhere, even when Bukoeski couldn't find a tear in a beer bottle.
And yeah, I miss her ever night now 😢

Same here. I left home at 19 and went to study in another country where i became the worst kind of sinner. I was chasing love and validation so much and was always disappointed. Some things happened to me during that chase that i could've avoided if i had just kept my eyes on God.
But now i know for myself how powerful He is and how far He will come to rescue me from the trap i walked into. He is the GREAT God. The almighty, omnipotent, earth shaking Lord. Who can stand before Him??? Nobody. He is worthy of everything.

I started drinking when I was 16. I would drink at parties, but I also started drinking alone because I was unhappy, and I was in a lot of emotional pain all the time. My mom was very aggressive when I was younger, and my brother hated her and so did I. He started hanging out with shady people, he started failing all his classes, he was never home, and my parents fought all the time. I also ran away several times. I was always trying to figure out a reason as to why I was here or what the purpose of life was. So, I started looking at different philosophies, religions, and beliefs. When I was 18 after I was hungover, I got on my knees and I prayed for the first time. I asked if God was real that he would show me he was real because I couldn’t take it anymore. I was crying when I prayed for this. At that moment I felt a presence come over me like a wind. It was barely noticeable, but it was unlike anything in my life I had experienced up until that point. I was surprised when I felt it and I remember saying “what was that?” after that experience I pretty much forgot what happened and kept partying, until my senior year when I got arrested. After my arrest, my parents lost all their trust in me and I was expelled from high school. I was told never to come back. At that time, I felt afraid and hopeless. That’s when I started looking for God, and I prayed that he would reveal himself in my life and that he would give me signs. My prayers began getting answered so consistently that I couldn’t deny that God was doing something. It was mysterious and compelling. I ended up in Church and started reading the bible hours a day. I stopped hanging out with all my other friends because they were continually getting arrested. I was able to forgive my family and myself and to ask to be forgiven. I noticed how at Church people were judgmental and how they formed cliques but were afraid to be around anyone else different from them. It increased my faith because I realized Jesus was not like that and ever since I was young, I saw people as people regardless of who they were. After a while, it’s like I could see God's presence was in my life and then it felt like he wasn’t, and then he was, and then he wasn’t. One day I woke up and felt more depressed than I ever have in my entire life. I felt like I was dying on the inside. That night I prayed, and I said, God, I don’t see my life five years from now I'm going to die Jesus save me Lord, please save me. I was weeping when I said it and when I asked him to save me, I felt a presence inside of me like a heartbeat, and I felt it once like a pulse, and I said Lord please save me and I felt it again even stronger. It was like radiance. When I woke up the next morning, I had transformed everything felt brand new like I was a kid again. All my fears and all my racing thoughts everything was gone. I looked at my hands, and I said this can’t be real, it's impossible. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I saw a different person. I started praying, and the holy spirit became entirely real to me; it was washing over me and inside of me. It was total love and peace, and I heard a voice but not an audible one, it was an inner voice. It said I am with you; I love you, I will never leave you, it’s done it’s finished. That was May 3rd, 2009, and ever since then I’ve followed God, I have seen many things change and many things I know wouldn’t have changed without faith and belief. I know what it’s like to be lost to feel you have no hope. Don’t ever think you’re stuck, or life can’t change because it can. My mom is a Christian now, Its night and day. Some of the things that went away during that period were severe anxiety and my addiction to alcohol. I’ve seen and experienced so many things that are miraculous and seen how God has worked in my life. When we ask God to forgive us for what we’ve done and turn away from our sins and wrongdoings and we believe in Christ's sacrifice everything changes. His word says if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that he died and rose again we will have eternal life but not just life after death but abundant life in the present. Our sins are erased not only past, present, and future but our burdens and fears are lifted also. Our thoughts, our minds, our hearts, our souls are transformed and united with God and we know his spirit lives in us. If you seek, pray, and knock you will know JESUS IS KING!!! HE LIVES!

Mercy, as I sing this song there is a real pain, or a shame, or a shocking awakening in me: how do we fail to love this God? A God of an unexplainable nature. We will not, in my opinion, be able to fathom the depth of His love and the height of His grace on this side of life/mortality. How do we fail this God? A God who stays anyway. May we His chosen children not waste His goodness: rather emulate Him truly and spread the love He has for us to the entire world. How am I just now realizing I wasnt saved. I've had light encounters of the holy spirit compared to now. I feel like I am in sacloth just crying out for more because I need more. Last night I got to experience an amazing thing that just made me cry. A grown man just breaking down in the office in the back of a Walmart because the homeless man that sleeps in my cart corralle at my store was there and I always look at him with disgust but last night was different. He's cold, hes hungry and I just wanted to give him all I had. I wanted God to put him on a thrown and show him the Love God has revealed to me. All I could give him was my food but he was so much happier to have it than me. God please just let me do more of that I'll sell it all and follow you God I'll take up my cross and throw myself away so you can fill me up with your love and spirit God please just touch my life and USE ME FOR YOUR WILL. We are suppose to worship Him every second of the day. Worshipping is more than just singing it’s a lifestyle, the lifestyle God has called us to live. :)
Amen, out of the heart the mouth shall speak. When we love Jesus, we (1) Take up our cross daily (I struggle with the daily); (2) Follow his commandments (I struggle with these as well).
But, where I am weak, God meets me to make me stronger. Then my praise increases. How can I not worship Him for that and share that, how GOOD He is!
Conclusion: Outward worship is a natural byproduct of the humble, repentive, and connected human heart to God. Mis any of those three= no true worship.
All that said, I think what make Steffany a powerful worshiper is that one can sense the geniuness of the Holy Spirit moving THROUGH her, freed and unhindered. I'd be willing to bet she has been forgiven much, or healed of much. Her worship is just too powerful to not have encountered God deeply. I can feel it through the screen. She doesn't care about what we have to think about her tone, her dynamics, inflection, her clothes (almost controlled modesty, from a male: thank you for that), her hair, etc... She just wants to worship the King. And yes, there's much there to be inspired by.
There's not enough fog machines and fancy light shows to mask or make up for an un-genuine heart. Church needs a revival, and it starts with a committed and all-out bold, un-hindered, heart for the Lord: as she clearly exhibits.
Break the chain of addiction, Depression, whatever your going through GOD WILL BREAK YOUR CHAINS!

I have been confused Christian for a number of years their has been times when I have run from his voice and times I have run to his voice, but the other day I was asked by a complete stranger that I never meet and he asked me when are you coming BACK to church, its these encounters that make you stop and think. He knows where we are and what we are going through in life and no matter how stubborn I am God will never give up on you and will ask you back when you are least expecting him to God is good all the time, hallelujah
I think it's important for Christians to show the love aspect of God. Many people forget that Christians' jobs are to love one another as God loves us. That means we aren't to shame, hate, or say who can and can't go to heaven. *glances at the churches in 2018*
