Agreed. These guys get distracted easily - sometimes intentionally. The pressing issue has to be cleaning up the corrupt SCOTUS. Senator Whitehouse's recent presentation on 'The Scheme' of the crooked SCOTUS needs to be shared. It was brilliant and just the start that is needed, but more needs to be done.

@@carollemieux2366Years past time, the lowest price I ever paid for premium gas was in 1971 which was $0.25 per gallon and the companies were making a profit on that price. Now it’s time for more EV research to make better more affordable more reliable more efficient cars for the future. The resistance is one sided and we all know the where the oil lobby falls.
The greedy oil corporations have to get on board and stop 20th century thinking. The world needs better EV technology, better, more reliable, more affordable, more efficient EV cars and trucks to go greater distances and the oil industry has to stop lies and deception and these types of vehicles.

When I was in school, specifically any math related class, we were told we had to "show our work". This is what the younger (and some older) generations are telling the fossil fuel industry when members like these two representatives are elected to office. If you dig hard enough to find the good people of government, and you keep them in office, you get good government. It's as simple as that.

Oh so true! Having worked in the Energy Efficiency industry for more than 25 years, I can see up close how entities like utilities fudge and wiggle and squirm all to get out of doing their part. All while squads of engineers are collecting the data to show the numbers don't lie. Pretty disheartening, but we keep fighting.

my grandfathet worked as exploratory geologist for Shell in california from 1928 till 1941. Pollution was aproblem then too. He said "we will never contol polution until we cap and use all the gas spewing from the wells. Hus bosses never listened. My father said it was his biggest frustration. Ghosting the problem has been going on ever since there was a profit margin.
Didn't think the rumors were true, Katy should know that there's a good chance the Senate will stay in Dem control, and add to their ranks. I loved Katy and can't believe she's doing this.

Jamie Raskin has been my political hero for a while, but Sheldon Whitehouse has really climbed up to the top! I spent my career building those nasty things like refineries and power plants, but now I know what damage they do! If we don't save the planet our species won't survive! Then what good is money? !

Such a team! Agree climate change is very important, moreso than many realize or understand. Would encourage more education about how far reaching it really is. Really strong reports and even ads would seem to help anytime, but especially after the next F-4 or 5 or Cat 5 hurricane. Try to reach them when they're awake -
If the industry invested as much money and effort into genuinely green, genuinely commercially viable solutions, as they do into fake greenwashing, they could be looking good, being good, and profiting from their innovations simultaneously. Old money is lazy and stubborn.
