That 90/90 is so true when it comes to weight loss, I have dropped close to 70 pounds and did it super fast. Working on the last bit is where I'm at, but not stopping, I constantly have a tiny David Goggins in the back of my head shit talking me through exercise.
Every Friday when I go to the pizza shop to have my vegetarian calzone, i order a slice of cake. And it sounds crazy, but knowing I’m gonna have a slice of cake on Friday is enough to keep me from having any other junk food for the rest of the week. Including candies, fast food, etc. I’m halfway done losing the twenty pounds I picked up last year and I feel better than ever even with permanent nerve damage from an accident
@@Tyrogrs1994 I do a lot of PT and stay active, activity and keeping things loose in general helps out. I do also use medical cannabis, I don’t use any pain pills. Usually I’m completely pain free by the afternoon of a busy day. Today I’m lazy and it’s near 6 pm and my pain is a 1.5/10. I’m cool with it.

I've been a programmer for over a decade. Every single project I've witnessed or participated in, took longer than we all had hoped. Every. Single. Project. Took too long. In the murky field of software development, fresh horrors await. If you've put a colon character : instead of a semi-colon ; in your code. Game Over. The computer has zero sympathy. You can not beg the Terminator. Judgment Day is inevitable, there is no other choice than to work only on the important things, that are within your control, and brace for impact. There's an entire cottage industry built around this phenomena. I refer to it as the "Agile Industrial Complex" which is a runaway from a healthier approach described in the original 'Agile Manifesto' The original signers of the Agile Manifesto, have lost control of this cottage industry. One of the signatories, Robert C. Martin says "The only way to go fast, is to go well." I'll admit, easier said than done. If an organization doesn't eventually achieve test-driven-development (TDD). They will eventually grind to a halt, no amount of new employees or new funding will keep the codebase from collapsing under its own weight.
Yup. What I didn’t realize is there are two different types of these quotation marks… one set are angled “ and another set are straight (but I don’t have access to the straight ones on this phone). Took me foreeeever to figure out why one line of code worked and the other didn’t. Ugh.
I remember once I was doing depth-first-search algorithm or something. It was hilarious what a complete mess was created when I (incompetently) added one extra bracket to the code (creating that algorithm with Java is a complete bracket jungle btw). The compiler would return with like 200 errors. But after I removed the extra bracket - it worked flawlessly.
That last piece of cake effect is why I have made it a habit to offer the last piece(s) to the people around me. This does not however apply to the crumbles of chips that remain in the bag.
All I can say, from personal experience, is ... any home plumbing work (yes even a faucet washer) inevitably takes a full day to complete. You have a box of washers from previous projects that inexplicable does not happen to have the EXACT washer you need, A trip (or two or three) to get the correct washer will be needed. But, then, after replacing the leaking faucet washer (and you pat yourself on the back) you find that the shut-off you needed to turn off to fix the original leak now leaks ... and from theres, no saying when you'll be truly finished.

I played this game growing up and the hidden lesson was level 1-92 was the halfway point of 1-99… maybe they were making this point. Also you there was no level 100 even when you went from 13m experience to 200m so there was an implication that there was no such thing as perfection 😮
In a lot of games the xp needed to level up is double the last level's xp. So once you get up there in levels, it starts to get really hard to level up.

Personally, I think as long as everything else is in check. Like you exercise multiple times a week, stay hydrated, and most days you maintain a healthy diet. I think it’s totally fine to throw down an entire pizza once a week. For me, my goal is gradually increased fitness as an athlete. I personally know that I can have a cheat day where I eat 3 huge burgers or an entire pizza once a week and yet still be a healthy fit athlete. However, I understand that some people have different goals that require a stricter diet.
