Subscribed! Gotta agree with you that Gehrman is a great fight, but Lady Maria is my fav for Bloodborne, with her fast attacks and amazing clocktower background
@@Blocyboi Ludwig is my favorite. Cutscene, fight and lore. But seriously, The Old Hunters DLC is flawless. The only questionable encounter are the weird aliens before Maria.
@@DainHunter Yeah, somehow I totally forgot about that guy when writing this comment, I love Ludwig's music, and his phase 2 cutscene, especially with him peering from behind the moonlight greatsword
Totally agree with you guys but he said at beginning no DLC; he'll make a second video for that. Elden DLC will probably have another 2-3 classic bosses. Bloodborne DLC is the best DLC ever IMHO. Orphan, Ludwig, Maria, Lawrence are so unbelievable.
you really like your human bosses huh...? i dont know i just find human-like bosses kinda boring, i agree with malenia but its just heresy not to include atleast 1 dragon or giant in this list
@@Dr_Diaz drawing inspiration from past successes isn't laziness, their games display a clear progression of learning and improving upon a gamplay formula that fans love. I'll admit some of their reskins and things within game can be repetitive, but across games they always find new ways to create a challenge.
My personal favorite for elden ring, is Radahn. He is built up as this amazing general, with all his soldiers loving him and just wishing for him to have an honourable death. Then the actual fight... He is an absolute unit. I just love how it's a group of people coming together to take down this colossal man.
Morgott is my personal favorite ER boss but I honestly believe that Radahn is the best one. It's completely fair while taking full advantage of Elden Ring in a way that wouldn't have worked in past Souls games.
4:09 Gherman is not a bad guy He was trying to save you from the awful dream and the reason u fight him is because your mc also trying to save him it’s basically two hunters trying to save each other
If you watch isshins animations closely, he doesn't actually use any type of lightning magic like Genichiro. He actually jumps in the air and catches random lightning bolts and redirects it at the player. What an amazing fight.
I thought genichiro does the same but that would be weird considering there is a roof above the arena where you fight him. What are the lore implications of that? Is it just literal magic?
4:07 yeah you definitely missed the lore on this one, if you care: Gerhman is the exact opposite of a bad guy, he only fights you if you don't accept being freed from the dream, the dream that kept him a prisoner for eternity with no salvation and destroyed his sanity, in which he refuses to pass that burden on to you, and only fights you in order to kill you in the hunter's dream so you'd be set free back in the waking world, a true selfless sacrifice
The Nameless King has to be my favourite boss in DS3. One of the few bosses that genuinely challenged me and forced me to "git gud" and learn the moveset and timings. The setting was pretty epic as well, and I liked the two different stages to the fight.
Same he was the only boss in that game I really struggled with. What made it especially hard was having to kill his dragon thing before you could actually fight him. I couldnt consistently kill that thing so it was hard to get good practice against the real boss. Eventually took him down though.
For me it was his design, something about a nameless god of war riding on the back of a dragon chucking lightning bolts at you was badass as hell, plus when he puts his dragon down then goes super Saiyan to fight you was insane.
By game mechanic i would say Godfrey, by lore i would say Morgott, by the epicness i felt during the fight i would say Radagon, this truly shows the quality of Elden Ring bosses (and every fromsoft game)
The best thing about Isshin is that he becomes really easy once you realise that "Hesitation is defeat". Which proves that you, as a person, have grown along the way, not just your character.
Yeah it's the best feeling ever after realizing that you just need to stay agressive to win. Literally "hesitation is defeat." He gives you the answer every time you die. Super awesome fight. You're no longer some nameless shinobi, but a warrior that even the sword saint recognizes.
Even though it’s not very challenging I love the abyss watcher fight, the music and room the fight is in makes it seem like they were very powerful before I shit on them
Idk about the room it seems very average and there’s nothing really special about it tbh But the music you’re right it is one of the best ost in any souls game
Honestly I was so disappointed with Abyss Watchers. Calm down, the fight was cool and all but since seeing the intro I thought we would have a banger of a gank boss. And if you even try to say Abyss Watchers is a gank boss then sugma. Tbf Abyss Watchers were not the only disappointment, thought Aldrich was gonna be a cool puzzle boss and Yhorm an actual giant (like the fire giant). But hey, that just pretty much sums up ds3 now doesn’t it?
Twin princes are probably my 2nd favourite boss in all Souls only beaten by the Soul of Cinder. The gigantic leadup to the fight in both the story and the area is just spectacular, climbing the archives to reach the highest tower in the castle. Dodging Lorian's brutal yet somehow coherent greatsword and avoiding the fire while his little bro is buisy blasting you with magic was just awesome and badass, no matter how many times I face them. Also the OST is just wonderful, I'd argue it's one of the greatest from the Souls series.
Finally someone said the Twin princes. I honestly loved this boss. I got my ass kicked many times before i learnt their attack patterns but after that, it's actually such enjoyable bossfight. For me, it includes everything. The perfect balance between melee and magic, the fast pace and visuals. Great in many ways. Love your vids, keep'em up.
While I enjoyed the twin princes, I don't think I'd say they were the best. I found them to be one if the easier fights for me and being a late game boss left more to be desired. Abyss watchers, nameless king, Aldrich, pontiff, and dancer are boss fights I found to be more fun overall than the twin princes
@@miotch8225 I have to say that Abyss watchers had more of a wow effect for me than twin princes, but as an early game boss fight, i didnt find much challenge in them. As for Aldrich, i managed to kill him first try. Pontiff was a great boss fight, ngl, I simply didnt find him as enjoyable as the Twin princes.
In terms of the wow factor that I felt when reacting to every Elden Ring boss I'd say Godrick is the winner. He's probably got my favorite soundtrack in the game as well. However, I'd say my personal favorite boss is either Morgott or Maliketh. Both are fast paced fights that are challenging and lot of fun to fight. If Godrick was faster and had more moves then he'd be my number 1 favorite.
Wow factor for me was Godfrey just this badass unit showing up to “test my strength” before I go up against a god he’s easily my number 1 boss In the sires
My favorite boss soundtrack wise would def be Radahn shit gave me PTSD and a sense of epicness when I heard it again on my Spotify playlist mechanic wise would be Malenia or Morgott they were both badass and always having me running back over and over and actually be happy about it

Finally, some love for the twin princes. Everything about them, from the buildup to the music, and specially the gameplay is perfect. They're my favorite Souls boss ever to this day. Gael is a close second, but he appears in the DLC.
i found them ok but at the time i was ifghting them i was so god damned tired of playing any souls game, i was summoning every boss fight to get through it, im not sure what my favorite bossfight in 3 is if we include DLCS twin demon prince, summon gael and laugh how he kills one of the demons, epic music i actually liked hw you could strategize which version of phase 2 you want. but main game, maybe pontiff but my experience was sullied by the fact i got him first try
I absolutely love Mogh, the fight with him at his palace was so much fun even with the NIHIL feeling a little cheap the first time through I still thought his boss fight was the most fun I had in elden ring the first time through, he was hard but fun, close 2nd place to Godfrey
Gehrman was definitely my favorite main game boss, and he’s most definitely my favorite final boss. He’s really fun and in my NG+ file I just did, I fought him with his own weapon.
Before watching this I was thinking to myself what my favorite boss for each game is. I said Nameless King was my favorite in DS3 after beating him but giving it serious thought I couldn’t go against Twin Princes. That spectacle of a fight was just something else. Needless to say it was a pleasant surprise to see you say Twin Princes but also to give Nameless King his shoutout. Love the vids :)
I agreed with you, Godrick is a fantastic boss. When I first fought him for the first time, I felt satisfying and pleased. My other two favorite bosses are Meliketh and Godfrey.
Why do you like him he was by far my least favorite and most forgettable boss in that entire game. After margit he just feels so underwhelming he’s not even a challenge by comparison. In comparison to fights like Radahn it falls short on build up and cinematic I’m curious.
Personally I’d say Malenia is my favorite boss AESTHETIC wise. Her second phase is literally so beautiful that I didn’t get mad when she killed me with that one spirit ability. Easily the most beautiful boss imo.
I agree that she is one of the best bosses aesthetic wise, her opening scene when she says. “I am Milenia… Blade of Miquella… And I have never known… Defeat!” Really sets the tone and atmosphere for the boss fight. But her boss made no sense when it came to the health regeneration. she is being eaten away at by scarlet rot, Why does she receive health when hitting you. If they took that mechanic out of the boss fight, feel it would easily be my favorite boss in souls games period.
Agreed, her attack needs some precise dodge. This boss is aggressive, complex, and not boring. Especially for waterfowl dance and clone attack. Fight malenia is as fun as gael in ds 3 in my opinion.
Morgott will always be my favorite fight in elden ring. It’s probably the most balanced and ideal fight with some very punishing but dodgeable attacks if you’re paying attention and know what to do Also he has a cool sword so that gets some bonus points
That move with the hundreds of holy light swords, he has such a cinematic move set between dual wielding his sword and magic in to seamless combos. amazing fight
Godrick is a memorable boss. It shows new players what to expect in Elden Ring. His actor did an amazing job at leaving an impression. The music for his second phase is perfect because it feels like a multitude of different tones stitched together. When you make it past him you feel unstoppable and that feeling is what gets you hooked
its just a shame ,for me anyways, he was the last bossfight i enjoyed fighting, radahn was cool for the spectacle of it you and the boys go fight him is good, morgott was alright personally i did not care for any of his fights, all the otehrs were meh not badbut the fights were either slogs or just not fun, i did like the jolly gold giant godfrey so im looking forward to the real thing
My favorite boss on Elden Ring is probably Praetor Rykard. I love everything. The build up, the lore, the Gimmick done right, the voice acting, the music. I consider this fight an espectacle. Very fun.
Mohg is my favorite Elden ring boss cause his design is awesome, his moveset is awesome and just the right amount of difficult and his boss arena and ost are just divine! Also like the fact that he uses bleed damage against us as he is the lord of blood but he himself can also bleed so he's not immune to it just cause he fights that way himself and i love that about him. He is also incredibly difficult to even find if you don't know of his existence and where to go so it felt so awesome the first time i got to him cause i felt like i was in a whole new world
if we're including dlc my favorite fromsoft boss has to be ludwig. the overall flow and his transition from 1st phase being a mindless beast to regaining his sense of humanity for phase 2 makes it a fight i always enjoy. in my opinion the soundtrack is probably the best boss theme from has ever put out too, the way it synchs up with his moves during phase 2 game me chills on my first playthrough
Mohg and Midir are by far my two favorites, Midir for the sheer terror and thrill of fighting an awesome dragon (and because it has the best ost in any souls game); Mohg for the atmosphere and sheer fun of the fight
Great picks! Here's my choices: Demon's Souls - Maiden Astrea. Dark Souls - Ornstein and Smough. Artorias is a very close second. Sif is an incredible fight too especially if you've finished the DLC beforehand. Bloodborne - Lady Maria. Sekiro - Sword Saint Isshin. Owl (Father) is amazing too. Elden Ring - Starscourge Radahn. Never expected to see a raid boss in a fromsoft game but they executed the fight to perfection. Sad to hear the fight got nerfed in future patches.
If I remember correct, Maiden Astrea is just an boring NPC fight. I get that most bosses in that game are boring, but how can that be your favorite in Demon Souls?
@@RandomNorwegianGuy. i think that fight is less about the combat itself and more about what happens in that a boss isn't supposed to.. just commit suicide it's unexpected, and it makes you consider your actions in the game
@@RandomNorwegianGuy. Long answer incoming! Before I talk about the Astraea fight, I first have to talk about the valley of defilement. The first time I entered the level, I felt a strong sense of disgust at the place. The whole level is covered in filth, you have to traverse narrow wooden platforms that are rotting and look ready to fall off at any moment all the while you are attacked by lepers that spam their attack at you. The place was incredibly hostile and felt very, very filthy. Then as I slowly progressed through the level, I learnt about it's story. How it was a place abandoned by the outside world. How the people and things unwanted by the world; the lepers, the crippled, the deformed, the aborted kids are dumped in this hellhole and they are the enemies you fight as you traverse deeper into the valley. How even the waste from the outside flows here. And these creatures live in unimaginable pain and suffering with nothing to ease it. Then I learnt about Maiden Astraea and how she tried to heal the suffering of the people in the valley. Of course, you hear conflicting reports. Urbain tells you that Astraea is as pure as they come and all the talk of her transforming into an archdemon is false while the filthy woman NPC you meet in the valley tells you how the place was better before she came and her arrival has made the situation much worse. I didn't know what to believe. Then I arrived at 5-2. The whole place is a vast swamp which poisons you and chips away at your health. You cannot run in the swamp either. Neither can you see very far as everything is pitch dark with the rain slowly falling down and the distant and sparse torches as your only guidance. It felt lonely, oppressive and yet at the same time, eerily calm. If you look closely at the torches in 5-2, you will find a grisly sight. A leper similar to the ones that you've fought all over the valley, is hammered into a pole with pitchforks and nails and the fluid in it's body is set alight. The oils burn incessantly serving as beacons of light to guide the inhabitants and you. My question was, what happened here? You find the filthy woman again and you find several dead bodies of other women beside her. She tells you how the men of the valley worship Astraea and they turn against anyone who doesn't worship her. Things have turned into a cult here. All of a sudden, the lepers chained to the bamboo poles to act as a torch made sense. They were tortured and murdered for not following Astraea. Of course, the filthy woman is also jealous of her and again, I didn't know what to believe. And finally, I arrived at Astraea herself. My curiosity was at it's peak. The cutscene here is incredible. You see Astraea lying in a river of blood surrounded by scores of bodies of knights; knights she probably killed. And then she dispatches her trustworthy knight, Garl Vinland to kill you. The music in this fight is incredible; it is neither foreboding nor creepy as the other fights. Instead, it is emotional and insiduous; it paints you as a tresspasser and a demon rather than the enemy. As you walk down to where Astraea is, you find several of the enemies you fought in the valley worshipping her with reverence. And then you find Garl blocking your path. Both him and Astraea repeatedly keep asking you to turn back and he doesn't attack you so long as you don't attack him. Once you attack him, he fights back and knocked me ten feet back with a single swing but to my wildest surprise, he didn't chase me like every other boss did. He just stood his ground, resolute in his desire to protect Astraea. He didn't want to kill me but wouldn't let me kill the woman he loved either. All the while the music reaches a crescendo and Astraea pleads with you to leave. I honestly wanted to just go back and even searched on the internet if there was a way to spare them but alas, you have to kill her. I killed Garl, stepped into the river of blood and got infected by the plague. And then I saw several plague babies rising out of the river; she had used her power as an archdemon to give life to the abandoned aborted fetuses. Once I reached Astraea I was surprised to find I could talk with her. She gives into the despair and kills herself. I felt empty and hollow, just as intended by Miyazaki and Fromsoft, no doubt. Astraea made me question everything I was doing in the game. She truly believed that what she was doing was right. And indeed, she did do good in the valley when nobody else would even look at the people suffering there. She healed the sick, the lepers and the deformed as best she could. In return, the people worshipped her for she was the only one to show them kindness. The valley made her lose faith in the God and the church and so when the fog arrived, she accepted her role as an archdemon so she could provide greater solace to the people suffering there. And this is where things take a turn for the worse. She found the best way to rid the valley's inhabitants of their pain was to rid them of their soul which the inhabitants gladly offered to her. This indeed eases their suffering but without souls they are just mindless husks. How is that any different from death? Her arrival also caused the people of the valley to turn against those who didn't worship her or offer their soul to her transforming the entire region and it's people into a cult. The inhabitants would also kill any traveller that approached the valley and offer the tresspasser's soul to Astraea as shown by the scores of dead bodies of various knights around her. So in the end, was she good or bad? The answer is neither. She was somewhere in the middle. She was a pure soul who genuinely wanted to do good and help the people but in her quest to help them, she bought doom upon the whole world. I reflected on this fight and the story it told long after I had finished the game. For me and I know this is completely unintentional, Maiden Astraea's story largely resembles the life of Mother Teresa (look it up if you don't know about it). Many games have posed moral choices and questions to me but few have made by ponder about it to the extent that Astraea's story did. I still don't know if killing her was the right thing to do or if Astraea herself was doing the right thing. And her fight is instrumental in telling this story. This is just my personal opinion but I care about the storytelling and the narrative in a fromsoft game far more than anything else. The reason I LOVE these games so much is because of how every aspect of the game; the combat, the gameplay mechanics, the items, the level design, the atmosphere, the music and of course the traditional storytelling devices like the dialogue and cutscene come together as a whole to deliver a really compelling narrative and nowhere is this design philosophy reflected better than in the Maiden Astraea fight. I might be making a bold claim but this is probably my favorite fight in all of Fromsoft's games with the Valley of Defilement being one of my favorite levels ever. Many people have claimed that video games aren't art but if this isn't art, I don't know what is. Phew! That took a while. If you did read my ramblings this far then thank you!
I really like Godrick, but his moveset is just very simple to understand and imo if he were a later boss, the fight wouldn't be as good. Although i like Malenia for the challenge, i personally find Godrick a better boss than her... Mohg on the other side is just too fun to fight. After my first playthrough i too didn't understand why so many people said that mohg was the best, but after i tried doing it no hit i fell in love with this fight
Mohg would’ve be in my top 5 if the Nihil attack was avoidable. I understand you can use the tear that reduces the damage by a lot, but you still take unavoidable damage, idk its just a personal preference, other than that is one of best bosses in the game if not the best in terms of gameplay.
The most important thing that makes Godrick better than Mohg imo are the bloodflame stains Mohg leaves on the ground. I dont think that making parts of the arena covered by something you cant step on otherwise it bleeds and damages you is a fun mechanic (you often cant go close and attack him since he is in the middle of a giant puddle). The other thing are the aoes after some attack that I had trouble dodging. Overall Godrick just has the least bullshit in his moveset which makes him the best ER boss for me. Its a pity that the fight isnt longer.
Gherman is the nicest guy in bloodborne, besides the doll, he tries to save you from the nightmare. Killing him saves him. He’s been there, being controlled by the moon presence, for much longer than you can imagine
My picks for each game (dlc in parentheses if they're my favorite for that game): Maiden Astraea O&S (Artorias) Darklurker Gehrman (Lady Maria) Twin Princes (Gael) Isshin Godfrey
@@justins4814 It's one of the most memorable fights in the series despite not being much of an actual fight. It really stands out and it's just great. Love that it makes you rethink the whole game
@@nem3908 It's not all about difficulty. I do think he's pretty hard for Dark Souls 1 though. Nothing is really all that hard anymore after playing these games a ton of times, but Artorias is one of the few bosses in DS1 that will still kill me on occasion. But it's more about the lore and how sick he is. His moveset is just so damn cool and fun to dodge and he feels so much better than every other humanoid boss up to that point. Gael is probably the best boss in the series and he's not very hard. Last time I fought him, I spent 5 minutes just walking around him when he was one hit from death just to keep hearing the music and seeing his attacks because it's just so awesome
@@SensDen i beat artorias in 2 tries on my first playthrough i was just upset he didnt pose more of a challenge for me especially on my first playthrough dark souls is the only video game that gives me adrenaline n artorias didnt deliver
0:50 See, the good thing is, that the game tells you his weakness on the spot. "Old" King Allant is probably a reference to his eye sight and hearing; if you enter the bossfight with "cloak" and just stay silently in the left or right corner before you walk up the stair, he will eventually lose aggro, so you can easily poison mist him to death
Margit is my pick for best Elden Ring boss, the first official boss I ever beat in a Soulsborne game and even after finishing the game and going thru Dark Souls 3 now I still don't get the same feeling I did with him.
I feel like not a lot of people mention Rykard. It's a perfect boss fight in my opinion. Fighting him with the big ass storm spear makes it cinematic asf, plus the transition to the second phase is so cool. OST is also perfect and the arena is also amazing. As for Dark Souls 3 I think that it's either Soul of Cinder or Pontyff Sulyvahn. Pontiff may be a weird pick, but after learning the lore it made the boss fight much much more satisfying. As for others I agree on everything.
I’d have to say I don’t think I have a favorite elden ring boss but I think of have the best memories with dragon lord however you spell his name because of the amazing arena, color scheme, attacks, and over all design.
Honestly… call me crazy, I loved the Rykard fight a LOT, sure it’s a gimmick boss but it wasn’t too easy yet not too hard, the area was absolutely badass, the visuals almost blinded me, and the Serpent Hunter is so satisfying to use
Honestly I agree with you 100% on The Twin Princes. The flow of the fight, the gimmick on how Lothric will revive his brother, and of course the OST. That shit hits hard
My favourite DS3 boss: Dancer, with Nameless King being a very close 2nd I absolutely hated the Dancer when I first fought her. But when I realised that her moveset is tied into the music; that she literally uses music theory to tie her attacks in and that it is in the ever so obscure 3/4 beat structure, I couldn't help but feel that this is the most genius boss fight FS ever created. Real thought went into the design of that boss & I love that about it.
@@budknight2963 it’s hard to fathom because the beat/tempo of the music is driven by the strings, rather than by the percussion. But yeah, that’s the key to understanding how the dancer fights
The dancer literally felt like a dance. I was surprisingly calm and in sync on my first few attempts felt hard bit not hard all at once. It hit different
My favorites, of the games I've played. Artorias Of The Abyss - Dark Souls Fume Knight - Dark Souls 2 Abyss Watchers - Dark Souls 3 Solder of God, Rick - Elden Ring
My personal favorites for DS3 are the Dragonslayer Armor and Champion Gundyr. For Elden Ring, I have nothing but the utmost respect for Morgott, not just because of his fights, but because of his lore. He may have born as an Omen, but he died a Paladin.
I was like "Godrick? Really? But he's so easy" then you made the point about introducing jumping to dodge attacks and that was enough to make that pick understandable for me.
@@garrytalaroc don't get me wrong, I still don't think that he's close to the best boss in the game. Just saying that him being the first to introduce that mechanic brings him up much higher for me than he would be otherwise
@@TheGayling2 what does being the best really mean? He maybe best tutorial boss but ther are SO many cooler, cool movesets, better story, cooler design and better boss out there. Radahn, Godrick, Malenia, and more. And much better than Godrick. Godrick sucks. Lorewise and gamewise. I think Ember is just nitpicking.
@@garrytalaroc his moveset is kinda cool, it's just easy af to avoid 😂 I agree that Radahn and Malenia are better bosses. In fact i just said that I don't think he's even close to the best boss in the game. I did however have him as the worst story boss in the game until he pointed that out. That little detail has given me much more of an appreciation for him now.
just noticed this, but the beginning of Allant’s “soul stealing” move is exactly the same as radagon’s magic counter, left hand rises slow with a hue of magic emerging from the fist, ending in a swift & damaging grab.
Radagon is so badass. Godrick is certainly fleshed out and gnarly, but not as epic as Radagon. The guy doesn't utter a single word, and yet he lives up to his legendary reputation with the most complex boss moveset in the game, not to mention his theme is the main theme! He is Isshin level imo
Radagon is a femboy ain’t no way he’s at isshin level Jokes aside he would’ve been better if it was just him, elden beast really ruined the fight unlike isshin where every phase is better than the other
@@misterwhite889 who cares what gender he is, he wields lightning and uses instant transmission to fuck shit up. Also, Elden Beast was fire, idk why people dislike that boss. The gauntlet he makes you run through is fun af
@@VonSchnitzbecause people don't consider cardio a part of the boss fight. Elden beast would be a fine optional boss that would be a gimic boss since you literally spend most of the time just dodging AoE spells to get a few hits in. Elden Beast is a micolash level boss
@Good Hunter Elden Beast is not Bed of Chaos level. It's a genuinely great fight. People are babies if they can't take 10 seconds to dodge a guantlet , it's a beautiful spectacle and super fun to play against it. Y'all are just prob braindead and if you can't mash R1 every single second, it's suddenly a bad boss
For me, male is is my favorite from soft boss I’ve faced ever. While I can understand people not liking her waterfowl, I used darts to bait it out and it made the fight feel a lot more fair, I really had to perfect her move set and spacing like no other boss forced me to do.
Goes to show how much opinions can differ. While her visual design and the spectacle is great, I think the fight itself is absolute bottom tier. In terms of fun while dying and learning its one of the worst fights they´ve ever done for me personally. Maybe its because I didnt cheese her with summons, magic or the countless other broken things in this game but fighting her simply isnt fun and feels unfair and bullshit most of the time. I also have to admit here that Im not a fan of Elden Rings boss design in general so that also plays a factor here.
@@EddieMorphling I had the same opinion for a long time but after I beat her no summons and died hundreds of times I found a new love for the fight. When you learn all her moves and how they change between phases, it really feels like one of the most epic and thrilling bosses ever.
Favorite boss in Sekiro is Corrupted Monk. The setting of the fight is beautiful, the ost is so good (that flute goes hard), and the flow of the fight is almost perfect. Genichiro and Owl - Father are also competitors for the top spot
My favourite elden ring boss is gotta be Loretta. I just love the mix between the magic and mellee attacks. I also like fighting other horseback enemies though I can't really explain why. Maybe bcs it feels more fair copared to the other bosses, bcs people on horseback can only hit on the sides, so no BS 360° arenawide AOEs(yes Horah Loux, i am looking at you). Their moveset is limited, in a way, that makes sense, and makes the fight balanced.
I beat Sekiro for the first time in the past month or so, and I must say: Isshin is my favorite boss period; he takes nearly every single mechanic in the game and uses it against you, which is a perfect way to design a final boss.
I think there's a couple things that hits for players. They look cool, move cool and have cool looking attacks. It's not a super challenging fight so players don't get too frustrated having to do multiple attempts. There is lore behind them connecting to a fan favorite of the series. The bosses fight each other which is different It's an early game boss too so more people will get to experience them as opposed to late game bosses that not all players even attempt. Hard to get votes as best boss if less people have even experienced it. Its not my favorite fight but it's up there
I beat sword saint isshin with kuros charm and demon bell after three years 2 days ago. That boss has given me more adrenaline than every other boss I've fought combined
I think I can agree with godrick’s boss fight. I think stormveil was probably the most frustrating but fun location in my first play through. The body horror associated with grafting and the lead up to the first major boss was incredible. Not to mention the sense of mystery glancing down into the depths of stormveil and just knowing something was down there
Dark Souls 2's best boss is Darklurker hands down. The fact that he's behind a couple mandatory ganky, high damage, insta death pits areas, for sure detracts from his existence.
For favorite bosses i can't decide between gherman and the abyss watchers but for the presentation i prefer gherman, when he stand up and the screen turns black saying"tonight, gherman joins the Hunt".Really loved It.
I took me about a week (I had school too btw) to beat to beat Isshin sword saint without kuro’s charm and while the demon bell was active. One of the most exciting fights I’ve had in souls game since Gherman
For me maliketh is my favorite Elden ring boss. His moves are fun to dodge, he looks amazing, he also has a small bit of dialogue if you do the gurranq quest proving that it is him, and the arena is amazing.
For me in elden ring, the Radahn fight is my favorite, it just feels so cinematic and chaotic having 20 people rush a 60 foot tall gravity wielding behemoth, and his intro to his second phase where he turns into a fucking meteorite is awesome. Godfrey is also a runner up because that fight is really difficult at times and also fun asf
twin princes is my pick from ds3 main game. its my fav boss song in all the games and its such a cool fight. beating them made me feel like i got gud at the game.
If we’re not including dlc my picks would be Ds1: Ornstein and Smough Ds2: Darklurker Ds3: Nameless King Bloodborne: Gehrman Sekiro: Owl Father Elden Ring: Malenia
I beat Godrick just recently after beating most of the optional bosses in limgrave and of course margit first and I’ve got to say Godrick was easily my favourite, its such a cool fight and i love both his design and his character in general
The nameless king will always be my favorite. I remember the adrenaline I felt when I finally beat him on my own. I played through the whole game co-op with my ex at the time, and when he went to have dinner I decided to give it a try on my own, just to practice a bit. That ended up being the run I beat him and it was extremely fun and exhilarating
I was genuinely surprised to see Godrick as your Elden Ring pick but yknow what, good. The man gets clowned on a lot both in game and by the community. Im glad theres people out there showing him some love, he’s earned it
I remember when I first fought Godrick and I never really thought about what grafting was until his 2nd phase cutscene when I let out an audible "oooh"
I do agree that Godrick is severely underrated, his theme is absolutely awesome. But I wouldn't say he's the best, Rykard has more spectacle, Malenia is more challenging, Radhan is fun, awesome and challenging. I think eldn ring definitely has the best bosses and choosing just one is extremely difficult.
Soul of Cinder is my favorite in Dark Souls 3. Not because it's hard, but thematically it just outdoes every other boss. The incarnation of every person that has ever lit the flame. The visuals, the music, everything is just great. It's a fantastic conclusion to Dark Souls 3.
Still don’t get the “including Elden ring” in the title. Of course it’s including ER, it’s already an established soulsborne game and everyone literally loves it…

If you watch isshins animations closely, he doesn't actually use any type of lightning magic like Genichiro. He actually jumps in the air and catches random lightning bolts and redirects it at the player. What an amazing fight.
That is badass as fuck
I thought genichiro does the same but that would be weird considering there is a roof above the arena where you fight him. What are the lore implications of that? Is it just literal magic?
@@leobro6398 Tomoe was genichiro's mentor and she taught him those lightning moves. thats why genichiro's last phase is called Genichiro, way of tomoe

@@Stuwi Completely forgot about that, but in the context of our story he's not the "villain" more like a really sad harmless and twisted old man
The Nameless King has to be my favourite boss in DS3.
For me it was his design, something about a nameless god of war riding on the back of a dragon chucking lightning bolts at you was badass as hell, plus when he puts his dragon down then goes super Saiyan to fight you was insane.
nameless king was pretty easy for me, but pontiff... we dont talk about pontiff.
Agreed
Yeah DS3 has a lot of excellent boss fights it is really hard to pick just one.
By game mechanic i would say Godfrey, by lore i would say Morgott, by the epicness i felt during the fight i would say Radagon, this truly shows the quality of Elden Ring bosses (and every fromsoft game)
Radagon is like top 5 best souls bosses ever. Elden Beast on the other hand is awful.
For me, Rykard would win in terms of epicness.
I still say elden ring is mid in bosses some good some ass.
Elden ring’s bosses are shit
@@nilan3294 why do so many people hate Elden beast because imo at the very least it looks really good
The best thing about Isshin is that he becomes really easy once you realise that "Hesitation is defeat".
This phrase really impacted me as a person when I first heard it
Even though it’s not very challenging I love the abyss watcher fight, the music and room the fight is in makes it seem like they were very powerful before I shit on them
Idk about the room it seems very average and there’s nothing really special about it tbh

And if you even try to say Abyss Watchers is a gank boss then sugma. Tbf Abyss Watchers were not the only disappointment, thought Aldrich was gonna be a cool puzzle boss and Yhorm an actual giant (like the fire giant). @@generalmikalie2739 Yeah? Well that's just like um, your opinion man.
Tell that to me who got my ass kicked 27 times before i managed to beat him,and then i learned what the undead bone shard was used for
Twin princes are probably my 2nd favourite boss in all Souls only beaten by the Soul of Cinder.
Twin princes and ornstein and smough i personally love the 2v1 fights
Yessss my fav ds3 fight its actually so good
I was really underwhelmed by the fight, which was a shame cus it’s fucking dope lore wise.

I absolutely love Mogh, the fight with him at his palace was so much fun even with the NIHIL feeling a little cheap the first time through I still thought his boss fight was the most fun I had in elden ring the first time through, he was hard but fun, close 2nd place to Godfrey

I agree although I didn’t reach her yet
I agree that she is one of the best bosses aesthetic wise, her opening scene when she says.
“I am Milenia… Blade of Miquella… And I have never known… Defeat!”
Really sets the tone and atmosphere for the boss fight.
But her boss made no sense when it came to the health regeneration. she is being eaten away at by scarlet rot, Why does she receive health when hitting you. If they took that mechanic out of the boss fight, feel it would easily be my favorite boss in souls games period.
@@itseverydaybro5690 she barely regenerates enough health for it to mean much besides her waterfowl attack. Just dont get hit
Her stand attack is kinda overwhelming, but the out of nowhere waterfowl is unfair.
Still, she was the most satisfying one to beat.
Agreed, her attack needs some precise dodge. This boss is aggressive, complex, and not boring. Especially for waterfowl dance and clone attack. Fight malenia is as fun as gael in ds 3 in my opinion.
Morgott will always be my favorite fight in elden ring. It’s probably the most balanced and ideal fight with some very punishing but dodgeable attacks if you’re paying attention and know what to do
Also he has a cool sword so that gets some bonus points
That move with the hundreds of holy light swords, he has such a cinematic move set between dual wielding his sword and magic in to seamless combos. amazing fight

Mohg and Midir are by far my two favorites, Midir for the sheer terror and thrill of fighting an awesome dragon (and because it has the best ost in any souls game); Mohg for the atmosphere and sheer fun of the fight

Best boss in the series to me is Twins Princes and nothing is changing my mind.
Godrick is my favorite boss After Godfrey. Such a good pick
finally someone appreciates the twin princes!! The soundtrack is amazing also!!
^^
I really like Godrick, but his moveset is just very simple to understand and imo if he were a later boss, the fight wouldn't be as good. Although i like Malenia for the challenge, i personally find Godrick a better boss than her...
Mohg on the other side is just too fun to fight. After my first playthrough i too didn't understand why so many people said that mohg was the best, but after i tried doing it no hit i fell in love with this fight
I played ng5 and mohg becomes the hardest boss later on
Mohg's moveset is just so good and fluid, his fight is really fast-paced compared to other bosses, which makes it very enjoyable. Also, Triple Nihil

My favourite DS3 boss: Dancer, with Nameless King being a very close 2nd
I absolutely hated the Dancer when I first fought her.
BRAH why am I just learning This now🤦🏻♂️🤯. I must replay DS3 now
@@budknight2963 it’s hard to fathom because the beat/tempo of the music is driven by the strings, rather than by the percussion. But yeah, that’s the key to understanding how the dancer fights
The dancer literally felt like a dance. I was surprisingly calm and in sync on my first few attempts felt hard bit not hard all at once. It hit different
Nameless king fight was so epic and challenging definitely the best in ds3 for me.
Did you just say Gehrman is a bad guy? One of the reasons why this fight is the best is because he isn’t
My favorites, of the games I've played.
Artorias Of The Abyss - Dark Souls
Fume Knight - Dark Souls 2
Abyss Watchers - Dark Souls 3
Solder of God, Rick - Elden Ring
My personal favorites for DS3 are the Dragonslayer Armor and Champion Gundyr. For Elden Ring, I have nothing but the utmost respect for Morgott, not just because of his fights, but because of his lore. He may have born as an Omen, but he died a Paladin.
Man, I would really love it if ember had an outro.
U might be disappointed…
I was like "Godrick? Really? But he's so easy" then you made the point about introducing jumping to dodge attacks and that was enough to make that pick understandable for me.
Nahh the pick sucks.
@@garrytalaroc Agreed. I literally killed him with only a longbow +2 in my first playthrough and I'm not even good at the game 💀
just noticed this, but the beginning of Allant’s “soul stealing” move is exactly the same as radagon’s magic counter, left hand rises slow with a hue of magic emerging from the fist, ending in a swift & damaging grab.
Radagon is a femboy ain’t no way he’s at isshin level
Jokes aside he would’ve been better if it was just him, elden beast really ruined the fight unlike isshin where every phase is better than the other
@@misterwhite889 who cares what gender he is, he wields lightning and uses instant transmission to fuck shit up.
@Good Hunter U just crying Elden ring is good af. And i don't care about a random like u.
You not picking Pinwheel, I am seriously offended.
For me, male is is my favorite from soft boss I’ve faced ever. While I can understand people not liking her waterfowl, I used darts to bait it out and it made the fight feel a lot more fair, I really had to perfect her move set and spacing like no other boss forced me to do.
Malenia has been improved dramatically with the last patch you are now able to dodge wfd by doing 3 backwards light rolls .
@@123NERDZ True, Malenia's boss fight is much better after the last patch
man this list is just how I felt, but I would've included dlcs so that best bosses would be artorias, sir alonne, orphan of kos and Gael.
Surprised he didn't mention Rick, soldier of god a brilliant and probably, no the hardest boss in from software.
Surpassed only by the dreaded Mist Noble.
can’t believe people still make this joke
I don’t know why people find the abyss watchers such a great boss fight, I think they’re good but that’s about It
I think there's a couple things that hits for players. They look cool, move cool and have cool looking attacks.
It's not a super challenging fight so players don't get too frustrated having to do multiple attempts. There is lore behind them connecting to a fan favorite of the series.
The bosses fight each other which is different
It's an early game boss too so more people will get to experience them as opposed to late game bosses that not all players even attempt. Hard to get votes as best boss if less people have even experienced it.
Its not my favorite fight but it's up there
Lore, atmosphere, made me have to use parry, look amazing, and the phase 2 effects are on crack.
I agree. Decent fight, nothing more than that
it so easy it sucks
Same. Great music, but not that great of a fight.
I beat sword saint isshin with kuros charm and demon bell after three years 2 days ago. That boss has given me more adrenaline than every other boss I've fought combined
I was being stupid and watched this vid and now the final boss of Bloodborne is spoiled and I haven’t even started it yet
Godfrey and Radhan are bether
I think I can agree with godrick’s boss fight. I think stormveil was probably the most frustrating but fun location in my first play through. The body horror associated with grafting and the lead up to the first major boss was incredible. Not to mention the sense of mystery glancing down into the depths of stormveil and just knowing something was down there
Your video rankings are damn good you deserve more followers and an outro😂
Honorable mention in ER is the godskins (solos lol) the music and the challenge the first time fighting the godskin in Caelid was so damn epic
I literally cheered for the Twin Princes, I love them. Also yes Godrick is my favourite in ER also!
Gotta say my favourite fight in Elden Ring is probably Maliketh. That second phase is just godlike.
I took me about a week (I had school too btw) to beat to beat Isshin sword saint without kuro’s charm and while the demon bell was active. One of the most exciting fights I’ve had in souls game since Gherman
The gameplay barely changes through the series but the boss fights are really what keep me around.
For me maliketh is my favorite Elden ring boss. His moves are fun to dodge, he looks amazing, he also has a small bit of dialogue if you do the gurranq quest proving that it is him, and the arena is amazing.
Except his mechanics are terrible, he has no health and he randomly extends combos and input reads the player. Horrible design, cool spectacle though
logarius is by far my favorite bb boss, hes so cool, plus cainhurst is a cool place too, and the armor you can get is sick
Good list. Funny that the other games there's room to argue who's the best boss, but in Sekiro everyone agrees it's Sword Saint.
I personally liked the Ape
@@gamingcrusade3842 The Ape is a cool fight too.
for the games i’ve played
Ds1: Gwyn
Ds3: Nameless King
Bloodbourne: Ghermon (but if we include dlc then lady maria)
Elden Ring: Melania
Yes! The Twin Princes are my absolute favourite boss fight. Their Boss Theme also slaps just as hard as the Abyss Watchers' Theme
twin princes is my pick from ds3 main game. its my fav boss song in all the games and its such a cool fight. beating them made me feel like i got gud at the game.
If we’re not including dlc my picks would be
Ds1: Ornstein and Smough
Ds2: Darklurker
Ds3: Nameless King
Bloodborne: Gehrman
Sekiro: Owl Father
Elden Ring: Malenia
I beat Godrick just recently after beating most of the optional bosses in limgrave and of course margit first and I’ve got to say Godrick was easily my favourite, its such a cool fight and i love both his design and his character in general
For Elden Ring I'm all about Radagon. What a fantastic showdown.
That outro was better that all of these bosses combined
Godrick is a really good feeling fight.
You get rewarded really well for learning the roll timings.
The Godrick transition cutscene is so epic
I love how he keeps trolling with the outro😆
My favourite boss was radahnn the whole hype of a festival from multiple npcs is just amazing and the fight itself is almost perfect
Genichiro might be my favorite boss in any game. It took me 4 hours of blood, sweat and tears. But the feeling when I finally beat him was unmatched.
Of course it’s including ER, it’s already an established soulsborne game and everyone literally loves it…
My Top Bosses (No DLC)
Demon: False King Allant
Dark Souls: Ornstein & Smaugh
Dark Souls 2: Dark Lurker
Dark Souls: 3 Twin Princes
Bloodborne: Gehrman
Sekiro: Sword Saint Isshin
Elden Ring: Radagon
With DLC:
Dark Souls 1: Artorius
Dark Souls 2: Sir Alone
Dark Souls 3: Slave Knight Gale
Bloodborne: Ludwig
oh my god we finally had an outro this is bringing tears to my eyes
Enjoy it cuz they’re only gonna get shorter ;)
