I have found that NATO straps do not work well simply because they require the watch to be in a particular location on the strap whereas the Zulu allow the watch to be in a more suitable location for any wrist size.
Hi Louis thanks for commenting. I have a Zulu on mu G-Shock but everything else on a NATO. Again just my personal preference. Thanks for watching and commenting.
The Casual Watch Reviewer. I have found that the NATO straps keep the watch in an awkward location in relation to my 196mm wrist and with the Zulu the watch can be situated exactly where it is more comfortable.
Really nice review. My favourite strap is the tan with yellow stitching. Although I don't own an Omega Speedmaster, I'm tempted....but having only recently having purchased a new Rolex OP, it may have to wait another year; unless I can find a reasonably priced second hand example. I think the nato or leather really suit the Omega. Interchanging straps is a good alternative to buying multiple watches!
Hi, thanks for commenting again. I really like my speedmaster as you can see from the other videos. The straps actually presently surprised me in quality. I think the red one cost me like $45 or something with shipping. I don't currently own a rolex but I'm hoping to get access to a few to compare them to the speedmaster.
Hi John, there are all from Man Cave Leather on Etsy, the link is in the description or just go to Etsy and search for ManCave Leather. These are awesome straps the one I bought and the one he sent me for review have aged really well
john Al Hi John, sorry I cant find the green one either. If you message me on thecasualwatchreviewer@gmail.com or contact him through Etsy I’m sure we can get one made for you.
You love NATO Straps I hate them. But very nice video and excellent review of the Man Cave Straps thank you. I'm much more confident to try one of their straps.
Hey, I would absolutely contact Man Cave Leather he could probably make one to your liking. If your after a generic strap not leather I like WatchGecko
Hi Shipmate, glad to see you back! I looked at both options and I managed to get this Fortis on ebay for just over $1,000 second hand, so I jumped at it. I did look to see if the bracelet was available, then I got to see one in the flesh at the watchbuys roadshow. I do like it but not enough to shell out the cash for it in all honesty. I generally prefer my watches on leather straps for some reason. I'm not even that much in love with the one that came on the speedmaster I have. But I agree they can rally dress a watch up and are more functional in the summer or if your going to get the watch wet.,
Excellent review! Thanks for the introduction to ManCaveLeather, I'll be sure to consider them when next I consider a leather strap. Keep up the great content. Cheers!
Hi Steve, thanks. Yes I am still loving my red strap. It has aged very well. The green one went to a new home of a viewer and the other brown one is in reserve waiting for the right watch! Thanks for commenting and watching.
+Robert Dickey Thanks, yep a great smell! Nice thick leather, the red strap is really wearing in well. But I’m now torn between the tan one and trying that on my daily wear, the Fortis at the moment!
The Casual Watch Reviewer I've definitely been looking for a new swanky leather strap for my snk809. I'll certainly give that Etsy shop a visit. And I bet that red strap would/does look excellent with the Omega Speedmaster
Ah crap! Can't take any more. Straps are straps! Buy one that is cheap and looks good.! Move up to more expensive straps as time goes on. I started with $10 straps. I just worked up to a deal where I got a $160 strap. Is it worth it? I don't know yet man. I'm a nut ball anyway. Don't follow my lead!!
Hey, I agree, its a slippery slope. These straps here are awesome though. The red one I wear all the time and honestly with shipping it cost $45. Well worth it in my opinion.
Hi Dan, thanks for commenting. I have a Amazon UK account but as yet there is no 'Influencers' store available similar to the US one I listed. So I can happily send you individual links but unfortunately it wont look like the Casual Watch Review Amazon US store. I'm hoping they sort that out soon.
Your right they don't have them, strange. Looks like watch gecko have some but they are not the same brand as I listed tinyurl.com/y8etux2k but the website that makes them will ship to the UK but looks like they charge a flat rate of $8.95 for shipping tinyurl.com/y9xlrnsr
Hi Andy, yes if you check out the latest review he has started printing his logo on now, I did a follow up video and he just gets better and better ant making these straps.
Hi, thanks for commenting. Yes I agree, I think the Watch Gecko are the best NATO straps out there, in fact I did a video dedicated to them ua-cam.com/video/0qRAaC4WiPY/v-deo.html
I'm personally not a massive fan, I have had one in the past and the keepers always seem to move. I have only ever had one though so should give them another try maybe. These ones in my video are really wearing in and they are half the price of the ones you mentioned.
Bought it to match your shoes??? You are worse than a woman, LOL😄 just kidding! Great review! really like the burgundy and tan band. Don't care for the style of the one piece band and the way it puts stress on the posts. Nice watches by the way
I still have those shoes and the strap! Yep the feeling was mutual about the NATO, he decided not to go with that design, so that was the first and last from him NATO wise. I did a follow up to this upload, his work just gets better and better
With so many wonderful adjectives in the English language you continually use the simplest. Nice this, nice that, nicest etc. As your channel grows this is something you may want to look at. It's incredibly annoying and amateurish hearing the same word repeatedly used to describe something and I'm sorry to say it prevented me from subbing or looking over your previous content. Just trying to be constructive. I wish you well.
Hi, thanks for the feedback. You are right I am an amateur at this, just trying to upload content that interests me in the hope that other people find it interesting. You are the first person to make a comment about my vocabulary, but I will try and monitor it on my next upload. But how will you know if I improve if you don't subscribe? I think you should then if I don't improve next time you can unsubscribe... deal?
The Casual Watch Reviewer That's fair enough. I have no idea whether it's a personal thing or something that is noticed by others but once I noticed it I couldn't get away from it. I'm just some guy, what right do I have to criticise but I genuinely hoped that it might help? The fact that you want to improve and took my comment as intended says all I need to know about the kind of guy you must be. I'm subbed. You have a deal!
Wow, what a nice constructive comment. Must be nice to be the arbitrator of the English language. What a nice thing to say. You come across as such a nice person. Your parents would be so proud of your nice comments. Oh, NICE.......
Yep, Mykola was on the live recently. He had to temporarily close the business but he will be starting back up again. We are doing our best to help him when that happens. If you would like to help you can watch the livestreams for updates. He actually never made a production version of that NATO. Also NATO does not refer to NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organizationits) it is a stock number system the British MOD used.
the brown one with the omega looks stuning
I couldn't agree more, the red one has worn in really well also. Just a great quality leather. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Have purchased several straps from Mykola and all have been excellent. Will definitely be back for more.
HI Tag, I did a follow up to this video and covered more of his straps! I'm also a big fan of his!
@@CasualWatchReviews Look forward to seeing it!
I was the 6000th subscriber just now. Hurray! I bookmarked themancaveleather for future strap needs.
Oh thats, great. Welcome to the channel Bill! Thanks for tipping me over the 6000 mark!
Deep red on the Fortis looks great.
Hi John, thanks for watching. Yep I'm the most happy with the Red it aged really well.
If you want to keep the straps in good condition buy a deployment clasp for each one, well worth it.
I have a MCL and absolutely love it. I really like the brown and yellow stitch.
Yep he does a great job of these!
The best nato/zulu strap I own and I have about 40 are the lorier nato single pass ,they are incredible, nothing comparable on the market

That is great that is it versatile enough to give you a correct fit.
Wow! Decent quality of straps....Great find...thanks!
Hi Erwin, yes they are really good, the Red strap is wearing in really well. Thanks for commenting and watching!
The Casual Watch Reviewer well this is a real "informative" and "entertaining" video...keep them coming!😁

Green One looks very beautiful to me on the moon watch
Thanks one of my lucky subscribers has the strap now, not sure what watch it went on but I'm sure it looks just as cool.
I have an MCL. It is very comfortable.
Which shoe brand and model is that burgundy Oxford captoe shoe. it looks great.
It was from Dune, not sure the model. I have long since got rid of them, loved them!
Very helpful. I about to order one or two. BTW, a lovely watch collection you got there~~
Hi thanks for commenting. The red one I have just gets better and better with age! It converted me from putting every watch on a NATO!
How much did u pay for the green one thanks
Hey John, I don’t think he makes the green one anymore. But check out his Etsy store they are in the $50-$70 range I think.
Really like the shoes.
I still have those!
where did u buy the green one plz
Hi John, there are all from Man Cave Leather on Etsy, the link is in the description or just go to Etsy and search for ManCave Leather. These are awesome straps the one I bought and the one he sent me for review have aged really well

Hey, I would absolutely contact Man Cave Leather he could probably make one to your liking. If your after a generic strap not leather I like WatchGecko
I really like the Fortis you have. Think it would look best on the Fortis metal bracelet though.

Nice looking straps!
Yep Very well made and a bargain in price.
man, I stopped wearing contemporary sized watches and all this stuff looks so chunky. I also cant seem to find many good 18mm starp anywhere.
Mykola will make 18mm I think, he has got better and better at making straps since I made this upload.
@@CasualWatchReviews interesting. ill take a look. thanks for the heads up.
