- What are friends for? They help you out when you are in need right? Well I was looking for some Biscayne sheet metal and @ziptiesnbiasplies of all people reached out. He found a quarter panel section that would save me a pile of time!
Well, it didn't quite go as planned.... but at the end of the day all the rot was cut out of the car and replaced with metal, fiber glass and body filler.

It sure is easy to spot the dodge guys in this comment section! Hahaha. Don't worry, headed out next week to buy another shipping crate, these comments will be in the back of my mind...
You two provided some great entertainment on this one !
I'm a dodge guy but you tearing up old rotten dodges don't bother me 😂
@@michaelparker5814 that's cuz your not stunned hahaha
@@ziptiesnbiasplies true I don't sell a sick dope dope 2gen with rubber band rims for 15 grand saying I know what its worth 😂😂
Only upgrade any dodge needs is a rag soaked in gasoline and inserted into fuei tank filler neck, light said rag on fire and push it off of the highest hill or cliff you can find, solves all the typical dodge problems
Peg is a riot. Love his channel. His constantly saying "DD Speed Shop" is what brought me to your channel. Keep up the good work.

DD Speed Shop!
Oh dude, you went ahead and fixed those sections. I was going to surprise you by fabbing some patch panels out of pork. I'll getcha next time.
The Other White Meat!
Atleast Danny tries unlike unlot a of ppl who are just out to poke shit cause they can't be bothered giving a go themselves to me all cars are just heaps of shit that suck money one way or another but no need to be a prick like zip ties
Bacon would work ok I suppose if your family came from Italy, but for me and mine, chicken and peanut butter patches with Oreo and tequila chasers for celebration is the ticket.
Send him the patchs and he will have to do a proper repair.
Uncle Tony for president!
A quarter panel and a bonus headrest, a true friend.
The "I buy my tires" comment made me laugh, especially after watching Pegs rotted out dump tires exploding every 5 clicks. Great video as usual, from the both of yah.
ua-cam.com/video/Nmlo-LI3feM/v-deo.html this fucking vidjaa of ol Peggs had my dieing of laughter from the tires just blowing out left and right. your absolutely right.
this makes me think there are people the dont run dump tires... weirdos
The Butcher of Biscayne does great bodywork, for sure!! I enjoyed watching you get this put together. Your buddy's video was too funny!! Cheers!!
ZTNBP's video provided hilarious entertainment to wrap up an otherwise ho-hum day. Seriously, he had me rolling. Thank you both!!
When working Kittyhair/Tigerhair fiberglass filler , Put on then take waxed paper Put over curing fiberglass glass mix Then take take spreader and smooth out and shape Work fast Get desired shape Let cure Peel off after 15 minutes or so It will save on sanding time and you are on way to final shape faster
Now that's a great tip!
Yeah it is
It is good stuff, you just have to use it, IMO after you have a shape for finishing.
Wax and paint don’t mix! Would probably effect the paint when the wax works it way underneath your new paint! Spread with a oil rag will be the next idea !😳😝🫡
Budget kitchen cabinet sourced peel ply 👍
Love the Peg/Dan collaborations!!! So much sassiness from our brothers of the North. DD SPEEDSHOP? DD SPEEDSHOP!
With the paint buffed out and panels resprayed, this is going to look really good! If ever there was a car that calls for steelies and poverty caps (and a flat hood) it's this one!
I agree,that would look killer!
well putting a 66 biscayne back on the road is one thing when DD cut up that 56 sedan delivery to put a small amount of that 56 that you would not see at all rear floor etc for a 55 nomad this 66 biscayne is nowhere as hard to find as a 56 delivery plus I needed those parts i had floors for his 55 nomad he wouldnt even talk to me about it so i unsubscribed too ruin a car worth 3 to 4 times more than that 66 will ever be he puts money n time into this kinda junk sad really
If it wasnt for peg i would have no idea about dd speed shop peg is a treasure America needs more canadians like peg
As far as body work goes you are the Master with your precision cutting and mig welding on that tiny driver door skin repair (with bulky wiz wheel tools and thick gloves)! Like the Da Vinci surgical robot used in hospitals. you too are sooo blessed with finger / eye coordination ,like a cancer surgeon!!
With a “friend” like that, one could use more like him. He seems to not take things too seriously. Brought you down, but you’re still friends. That’s a good thing. Stay well
Wanna keep it nostalgic? Use pop rivets and window screen! 😆 Go Dan Go!
Lol 👍. OR chicken wire 😏 Bawahaha 🤣🤘
Oh c'mon now simmer down Sally 🤣 I love peg. I'm only here cuz of all the minty stuff he says about you. A good sense of humor is essential to having a fun shop atmosphere.
Dan some weld through primer would help alot with protecting the bare metal on the back side . I cannot believe someone like Eastwood don't sponsor you with some of there products . It wood work out great for the both of you .
I wanted to tell you I love your shelf when I think I've seen every episode you made so far
Only guy on the tube who uses ppe!! Good stuff!
In Peg's defense, there may or may not have been some fermented beverages that contributed to the DD Speed Shop conundrum. With Peg, you knew getting involved would come with some controversies. What he may or may not possess in the realm of reliability he more than makes up for in tenacity. When you really need a loyal bud, he'll roll through an oil spill to get under that turd and 'adjust' problem areas with the Leatherman Wave, DD Speed Shop, DD Speed Shop, DD Speed Shop. Cheers.
Dont worry, he will give you a 440 for fackin ya around on the quarter panel. He told me he's gonna make a 50 part video series about giving it to ya too! What a guy!
Let it go.
folks appreciate your humbleness and they way you simplify repairing panels!
hope to get started on the 72 camino in the spring!
Now a GOOD prank would've been to send the wrecked panel, then send the good panels a day later. 😁 BTW, you & Birdsong have given me the confidence to try some butchery on my '63 Dart GT Convertible. I do know where some good wheel well patches are for it though. Keep diggin' dude, you're doing fine!
Brother you have no idear how much you have inspired me. Ty so much for sharing your thoughts and visions. You both have a great Sunday 👍 👌
Peg is hilarious. I love that guy. 🤣
Man Dan your videos and love for hot rods is so original and passionate it's a blast and joy to watch what your doing
A true majestic creature of the north, the Fabio of fiberglass and filler saves the world once again.
☝️☝️thanks for watching
I've Prize for you 💌💬🎁🎁
Hey Dan you should have used the zip ties and biased plies banner that always hanging in your other garage as filler patches
This was the best thing ever. The compilation we didn't know we needed
Metal work looks good, fiberglass looks... Well, it's amazing how the stock paint shines up!!
You guys are the best, definitely need more "collaborative " videos, keep up the good work
Community not competition. God bless
I don’t often comment, or ever read the other comments, but holy shit, there’s some daft people in here.
Keep up the killer content Dan.
I’ve heard some messed up stories about Peg. The list of things he will do for $5 is damn near endless.
⬆️⬆️ thanks for watching
I've Prize for you 💌💬🎁.
Looking GOOD !! Can't wait to see how it comes out.
Always enjoy watching your show keep up the good work
I told my girl right off the hop "watch his friend is ole peg" 😆 mint 👌
Welding, it's all about the safety squints...lol!
Great video ,your right about the front fender,I took my 2012 impala to a body shop rear quarter panel rust he told me he would order a frt fender and cut out what he needs for almost $ 1300 hundred ,i think i will call peg for some advise LOL
It's all about the community #DDSPEEDSHOP DDSPEEDSHOP DDSPEEDSHOP #HPOP
Shut 'er down, boys. This here is the best "dd speedshop, DD Speedshop, DD SPEEDSHOP!" vidya ever made, not sure it can be topped. Peg nothing short of MINT as always.
Fucking love Zip Ties, the world needs more like him.
That was awesome of ZTnBP to throw in the headrest. That's a sign of a true friend.......
Old peg leg is a body man from way back. Just a loyal body man really
I know Peg says that Willard was microwaved when he was a pup, did Peg get a little bit of that radiation after effect too? Poor Willard, lol. Anyway , the bodywork is turnin out pretty slick. The original paint really does shine up better than I ever thought it would. Keep up the good work. 👍
Peg got his wires crossed looking out the window of the microwave at Willard while he was the one in it I think.
That is a gorgeous colour, my parents had that Biscayne in that colour when iIwas a pup. I only saw the pictures of it.
God bless your sense of humor! Your wife should proud! 💯
Man I have been Binging on your channel the past few days, You are Brilliant Hi from Australia.
lol bless old pegs heart helping ya out to the maximum level of his intellegence , its not his fault his parents are related.funny stuff definatly approved.

Love your work👍💯
Can't believe how good that looks you can't even tell that it was a four-door at all. Good Job
Keep the good work watch all the time!!!! You do good work 👍
The horse mask should have been the first tip off.
😄 I gotta admit Willard looks pretty good wearing it. Bless his poor little stunned heart!
I love peg, what a treat
It's shapin up well Dan! Rock on 🤘!!!
I've never liked "Pegs" channel. Zip ties and bias plies. Your channel is awesome 👍 enjoy it very much
I got a 99' Crown Vic P71 thats gotten alittle rusty since my dad bought it way back when i was 12/13. Im damn near 28 now and its in my driveway. Breaks my heart to see it like it is. Never won a street race on 4 wheels before owning that car. Watching this gives me some confidence to tackle it someday soon.
The Mopar guy was a hoot, loved it and he had some good advice for you.
⬆️⬆️ thanks for watching

This collaboration is minty!!

Dan, Peg & John Candy just to name some of the greatest Canadians.
Looks great! Can't wait To see painted and buff out that factory paint! Going To look great with it polished out! I really like that bronze color with white/beige roof! As long as you like it, that's what matters!
I'm here to watch Peg F stuff up. 😆
Yes, that is a nice color !!!
This car will look GREAT in this color !!!!!
Madeira Maroon possibly 🤔 IF I had to bet $$$ on it. YES, definitely a "kinda common" color I have found on the 65-67 GM CHEVY full size, Chevelles, El Caminos. And YES! A quite GORGEOUS and DEEP maroon color when fresh too!! 👍 My 1st 66 El Camino back my senior year of high school circa 91-92, WAS THAT SAME maroon with ruddy brown primer down low (hiding a BUNCH I later found 😲). THAT wasn't the worst. I also eventually found out the frame was rotted TF OUT under it as well 😡. It TOO, was plugged to me from "a friend" 😒 Yep, found out WHY, HE passed it on up (being the big CHEVELLE ELCO guy)....Oh well. Lessons hard learned. Helped mold me into the old school body/paint guy I am today. 😏 Happy RESTORING and cruizin 😎👍🤘🔥
This is without question the best video on the Web. I could not stop laughing. Great Job !
It’s your friends who teach you the best lessons
I’m sure you know all of this by now but the correct color on your 66 Biscayne is called Aztec bronze. My dad bought a 66 SS with a four-speed in it for my sister that I learned to hot rod and speed shift on. My dream car, to this day and I am 70 years old, is a 66 427 Biscayne so hats off to you for doing this.
Thanks buddy!
The wheel arch turned out pretty good.
“Identifies as a biscayne”. It all makes sense” killed me lolol
your fabricating skills are great love to watch this.
You gotta power tour that thing next year!
That was a good looking color, looks really good buffed up. I don't worry about something like that if I get it great and if I don't oh well I was looking already..
Ped is now running Success Auto Body.
Hey Dan, great video. Like how you just kept getter done. Thanks for sharing and have a great evening 👋
6:69 “Hosestly when you’re doing a patch like that, it’s a good patch, you don’t have to worry about it, it’ll last another fifty years. “
That’s what we all used to say until o’ll Trudy started peggin us where the sun don’t shine.
dont get discouraged, I love this build. Its up to you though😁
Car looks amazing Dan the paint came out so nice !!!
Okay, hack tip for you when applying bulk fibreglass or bondo. Apply with the wax side of wax paper, you can shape it to fit, and when it hardens, it peels away
Good tip!
"Building a Corvette " Big block Biscayne still cool
Great video man, in fact you don't know how seriously useful this is to me, so thank you in advance. Thought I'd throw something I thought was cool out there: The Arcdroid personal CNC machine featuring the pen device where you can trace like any steel or even aluminum up to whatever the plasma cutter you use can handle. Thing is frickin sweet... *rather B welding* featured it in his most recent video and it blew my mind.
Glad to hear that you are able to get one!
Before you drill them fill the bottoms with some old transmission fluid - that penetrates really well into the seams and the crimped edge after a while then drill the drain holes
Maybe if you never plan on painting the car if you do won't the fluid cause fish eyes everwhere?
Not sure what you're complaining about, says right on the panel that it identifys as a Biscayne 1/4. Very insensitive of you not to acknowledge its identity.
On the positive side I do appreciate seeing the honey badger technique used to apply fibreglass filler
We ought to have someone standing at Roxham Rd warning all those poor immigrants that there are people in this country that will diss their pronouns.
love pag and his channel
Nice welded in patch (and the 2 door conversion)when you said about there still being some pin holes around the patch' and that filler over the top will take care of that 'well the reality is that yes it will be sealed off from moisture on the outside of the door 'but consider that water getting inside the door will get Into those pinholes and silently and invisibly ruin your nice patch. Iv'e been doing patches like that for years and have learned from mistakes. What I've been doing for a long time is grind down the welds 'clean it up with thinners' and then brush some fiberglass resin over it to fill in the pin holes 'and If can get at the other side coat it with rust converter' and finally brush some under seal over it''or if I cant get at the back side try to achieve it with a rust protection spray put on with a thin hose that you can getin I to tight spaces . I used this method on a Bronco about 4years ago and nothing has bubbled up.👍
She's coming around brother. Looking fantastic!!!. Great job! Thanks again for sharing 👍 👍
⬆️⬆️ thanks for watching
I've Prize for you 💌💬🎁..
He even cleaned up the wrinkles for ya
It will last 150 years, yea man she’s good beast
That going to look good when it's done and the paint is going to come back big time!!!
Dan is between Peg of zip ties and Kyle of Carter custom
If anyone has ever called you the "King of Hacks", it is safe to say that you have been de-throned..🤣! Congrats as you approach 100k!

Looking great Dan. I always wanted to try 4 dr to 2 dr conversion
Dude man , she looks soooo freakin Good !! Now I'm looking at 4 doors in a whole new way !!
LOL!!! Good ol peg 🤣
Killer color once buffed out. Enjoying the progress, the patch panels really gets rid of rust.
You really do nice work i love it excellent job 👍
It’s good to have friends! 😋
Best car guy on UA-cam
That dodge body work video of zip ties is one of my favorites.
Find an front fender and cut the wheel arch out of it and it should work for the rear patch panel
