- Thank you so much for watching!!
This is an easy way to take your regular press on nails and make them look and feel like salon quality. They also lasts for weeks! I used Kiss press on nails in "classy" and for the curing gel I used ASP gel builder.

Oh my days so beautiful and effortless. Thanks for this tutorial I’ll be following each step ❤🎉
❤️❤️❤️
This is a great idea for transparent designs. As a nail tech however, I don't see this working for solid colours as the led light cannot penetrate through the pigment to the nail plate.
That’s go to know. Thanks.
So true! I've tried darker colors and found the more transparent the fake nail, the better ❤
You could apply plain tips and polish them once they are cured.
@@leahcalabro2787it you say so
@@QueenAfia514that’s what I do if am wanting a darker color . This process has been a trial error but sharing tips is what is all about !! 😊
Thank you! I've never done this before and you explained it really well.
That is good to hear! Thanks for watching! ❤️
In this process you don't use glue? You mentioned glue in the video
Great video. Thank you.
Thank you so much. Glad you liked it! 💗
How bad is the UV light for your skin?
Great video
Thank you!! ❤️
hii is it possible to use base coat instead of primer?
If you don’t have nail primer, you can use regular nail polish remover or an alcohol swab. You just want to dry out the nail bed from any oils. Then you can use the base coat. Hope that helps! 😄
How do you remove them for a new set? Please
Hi! You can use acetone to remove the nails.
Also, a tip because i know this nails are very flimsy. You can take acrylic or baking powder and put it under the nail so that its hard and wont break.
How do you do that? Is it like a kit ?
Baking Powder?
Great job!! This is the ONLY way I do my nails now. Lasts for weeks!!
Thank you so much! This is definitely my go to now! 😊
Hmm maybe that's why mine last a week, maybe. I just glue them on, with the shaping and pressing the cuticle back. But no light, no primer and whatever the other products were. But I'm new. My 12 year old granddaughter taught me how to do it.
You said you were using glue and didn’t mention that you were using the builder gel as a glue. Wish that would have been made more apparent. I still am not even 100% certain that is what you’re doing. I thought it was and someone else said that is what you’re doing so I’m just hoping before I do this
My auntie is so talented and skilled😍💛
Thank you!!!
i use this technique but when I apply the top coat it peels off really easily as the surface of the false nail is very smooth and slippery - do you have any tips for this? 🙂 thank you x
Hey hun what’s the thing you put after the primer 😊 is it curing gel ? Am new to this , thank you for this video ❤
Hi, tha ks for the video. Is the curing gel the same as a base coat gel?
My press on nails always pop off. This is great, want to try it. I like doing my own nails.
This was great! How long did they last and did you remove these with acetone? Can you soak them with warm water and soap so they are reusable?
Thank you so much! They lasted right around three weeks, maybe a tad bit longer. Mine started to lift around that time and so they were easy to remove. But yes, acetone is the best way! If you want to reuse you can always lightly file down the glue inside of the nail.
Wow now I seen a different way of doing these so your using nail builder as the glue???? But great job 👏 love ❤️ it 😊
Thank you so much - I have had so much trouble with my nails and swimming in a chlorinated pool!! I think this might be the answer!! And I still get to use my builder gel I bought!!
❤😊 thank u
get polygel clips to hold it
Please, please, please place a towel on that table. Never ever place a used nail varnish pad on wooden varnished table tops as the remover is strong enough to remove varnish from table tops
which will lead to sanding down and revarnishing just to get the table back to its natural looking state. Old tables go ahead new tables NO, NO, NOoooooooooo
🥰🤗🥰
thank me later
Great video, by the way. 😇👍
Good to know! Thank you!
I was looking for a video just like this very simple and straightforward ❤will be trying this 🎉
You don't use glue....but in your video you mention to use the drill bit to file off any excess glue spillage??
Listen, this is going to cause a permanent nail allergy. It's called contact dermatitis and it's caused by nail gel not fully curing. When you do gel x with nails that arent clear, like these ones from kiss (MEANT FOR NAIL GLUE) then youre setting yourself up for giving yourself an allergy. Even these ones that are partially colored won't work because it doesn't cure 100% like it needs to because the nail is not 100% clear. Please do your research and educate yourself before you DIY, and especially when you post a video to share with the crowd. Blessings, i hope your skin is okay.
“educate yourself” LOL. shes using semi clear press on nails, the uv light is strong enough to cure the gel underneath these. if she was using a solid color nail tips i would agree but what you’re doing is straight up fear mongering. contact dermatitis also doesnt develop on everyone. especially not with modern gel polishes…
New to press on nails. How often should I cure my press on nails? Thanks
You only cure once when you’re applying. Once the gel is dry, you are good to go!
This video is the best. Anyone who wants to know how to do this needs to watch!
Can you please do a removal video
What if you don’t have the uv light? These are so beautiful
How do you remove the nails after its time to come off ?
I just read in the comments that you said soaking in acetone will remove the nails, thank you
I’m gonna try this method, I am so tired of going to get my nails done and spending all that money. I literally just stopped going, but I’m going on Amazon and buying that drill, press on nails, UV light, and curing gel, I already have some primer, and get busy learning to do this on my own.
It is so much more affordable when you do it yourself at home. Just takes a little practice, but starting off with the press-ons is a super easy way to start. ☺️
i have no idea what i’m doing wrong but this process isn’t working for me 😩
Same! I lost 1/2 of the nails in the first 24 hours :(
Try to not get nails wet for a few hours. Maybe do it before bed. I started mixing with clear polyglot. Major game changer
Could please tell me the process for removing these nails ?
I need help as I just can’t seem to soak them off. PLEASE
Put some acetone soaked cotton balls on the nail and cover with aluminum foil. Let the nails sit in their individual foils for about 20 minutes and they should come right off. Hope that helps.
You did an awesome job, they look so good ❤ I’m gonna try this method, thank you for the video
Thank you so much!! ❤️❤️❤️
what if you do the process of adding the nail builder to the artificial nail without first curing the first layer onto the actual nail? does it work the same? is the layer on the real layer needed?
You know I’m not sure lol. The directions to gel glue states to add to the nail first and then the artificial nail after curing. So I just did the same with the nail builder.
Thought nails had to be clear
Will definitely try!! Thank you
Let me know how they turn out!
Wat curing gel is that?
🌷🌷we’ve been checking for you CR! happy to see you pop up in the feed! hope life has been good to you, welcome baaack! 🌷🌷
Thank you! 🎉 this worked really well!!
Happy to hear it ❤️❤️❤️
@@DesireeNicole thanks!!
Great Work 🤌🏾🔥
Thank you!!
Great job ❤
Thank you for this breakdown!!
Got to try this!!!
The press ons are too thin for me. They'll bend and break the first day. The nail builder will stick to a shiny surface?
Do you mean putting the nail builder on top of the press-on to thicken the nail? If you try that, I would just lightly buff the press-on the remove some of the shine.
@@DesireeNicole yes ma'am. Thank you ❤
Omg this is great!! How do you remove it??
She may have a different method to remove her nails, but I cut mine down and file off the top/shiny layer, I then take a small piece of paper towel or cotton ball soaked in acetone and place it on the nail, and use a piece of foil to wrap the finger tip and let it soak for about 10-15 minutes. Then I unwrap & use my cuticle pusher to scrape it off gently. It comes right off. Hope this helps 😊
This is the best way! Exactly how I do it as well! 😁
Hi - where did you purchase your nail drill? Looking for an inexpensive one.
Thanks🙂
I bought this one from Walgreens or CVS, but you can find better drills for the same price on Amazon! 😃
What brand is your curing gel polish ?
ASP
New subscriber now much love 😊
❤️❤️❤️
❤
I'm gonna try this right now. :)
Would activator from the acrylic nail set work as a curing gel?
nope!
Will the gel cure through dark polish?
I’m not totally sure as I’ve only used with light colors or clear. But it couldn’t hurt to try!
Yes it does!
I thought the led light would not cire through dark colored pressons?
The gel will NOT cure through dark or solid colored polish! It needs to be transparent enough for the light to shine through and cure the gel glue!
I have tried the gel n it held longer but not super long. I didn’t buff the inside of the fake nail. N someone on IG said there is gel glue as apposed to get polish
I haven’t seen the gel glue… might have to check that out! Are you priming your nails beforehand? Sometimes that can make the difference if your nails aren’t lasting.
I’m trying this technique.
What was the top coat? Was it UV also? I did not know you could put a top coat on press-on nails. Thanks for the video!
Yes, the top coat was gel as well. It just gave the press on a shiny finish.
Doing this as we speak!!!!!!
Love it!!
Did u cure the top coat?
I did!
Literally made this process so easy!!
🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽
This is such a good idea! Does it work with dark colored nails too? Can the UV light get through? Can't believe I never thought of this, with the holidays coming up this is an awesome idea. Where I live, they charge $125 for fancy nails!
I was wondering the same thing! Will it work on nails that have designs or are darker?
If it doesn’t work you could always paint them yourself & add some bling. 😊
I started doing this for my nails and it really does work ! I'm not sure if it would work if the nails are darker. Sure beats paying 50 to a $100 at the nail salon!!! I will never go back..lol 😂
It doesn't work for darker nails lol I tested it, it'll come off ASAP. The light can't get through
Darker colors require more time. Lighter colors less time. For the spectrum to penetrate and cure. There's a video on UA-cam of a chemist breaking down the lights and spectrums wavelengths
Love love LOVE can’t wait to try this method, thanks girly 🎉😊
great job! 💯
Thank you! ❤️
Can you please give us the link to buy the curing gel. Thank you
It came from Sally’s.

What a great tutorial and money saver ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you! It definitely saves some money!
Wow thank you!
❤️❤️❤️
I have tried this method twice with press on nails and the nails never cure. I have a full size and one finger lamp from a kit and the nails never cure. When I do the gel x system method with plain full cover tips they work. I have no clue what I’m doing wrong. I will try again. When I use press ons I had to go back to glue. Then go over with curing gel and top coat.
If your nails aren’t curing with the nail builder gel, I would just use a regular led curing gel glue. The nail builder gel I used in the video is just a more affordable option as sometimes the gel glue can get a little pricey.
I was looking for something like this! Really nice!!
Thank you so much! Hope it helped!
