    Stick the corn ribs and oil spice mix in a zip lock bag. Much quicker and less messy to give them a good coating of the mixture.

    I'm going to try those Tom they look delicious even if they are a bit fiddly. Why not put the rub into a plastic bag with the ribs and roll it all around to coat them.
    Why the woodies? Have you found out how much electricity the electric starter consumes?

      Yes you could totally put it all in a bag to coat, I didn't think of that.
      Lighter wise. All videos are woodies as it generally stock footage

    Why not just roast the whole ear? Must easier and more practical. Looks neat to do as an appetizer cause it's different.

      Takes on much more flavour char and smoke. I didn't think they would be as good as they were

      Makes sense. Since the cob is exposed to the charcoal, the moisture evaporates so it doesn't steam the corn. @@BBQLIFE
