The difference is that Tiamat's authority allows her to use the mud to turn anything into her children and "Enemies of Man"; meanwhile the regular mud instead inflicts a powerful curse that is responsible for the whole"blackening" process Saber Alter and "True Archer" go through. I think you can basically say that the Grail just looked for the closest thing that could bring about Avenger's wish and Tiamat's Mud fit the bill.

I swear, some of the servants in FGO should be different star levels like Cu. Cu should 100% be a natural 4 star lancer.

She originally had a more conservative design (I think it was originally going to be an armoured kimono from what I've heard) but Takeuchi wanted it to be sexy since they lacked confidence in the game being successful on its own merits at the time. And to be fair, the initial release in JP was a bit of a mess to say the least.

I know I'm not in the subject but I'm asking you about the Fate series. The heroes of their legends get new umbiasis and Noble Phantazm as servants yes? So if Emiya's hero does not have any legend and profits from it, it means that he is as powerful as in life. If so, if he fought at the time of his life with the heroes before their death, he would be able to defeat almost every one of them. Is this correct reasoning on my side or wrong? If I'm right, if he had his own legend, he would probably be one of the most powerful servants in the whole series.
He's not THAT powerful but yeah it seems his noble phantasms are based on projections he did in life as a mercenary. It's possible they've been exaggerated as a heroic spirit tho.

For example, just because it was said that gilgamesh has all the treasures, as a servant he will lay all the noble phantazm of other heroes. Pre heroic shiro was able to fight him. The truth is that he has learned a lot from the Archer but it is said that before he died he had more power. So I think that if a pre-heroic archer fought with other servants before they died, when they were still human (or half a gods) he would be able to defeat most of them easily. And if he had as a servant a legend of strength similar to, for example, Cu Chulan or a knight of some glory as Sykfryd would have been one of the most powerful servants.

I think genderbending Yoshitsune actually softens the true extent of the betrayal of Yoritomo since it erases the existence of Yoshitsune's mistress and son. Yoritomo doesn't simply sits content with killing Yoshitsune's retainers and Yoshitsune himself. He actually personally orders the death of Shizuka Gozen and Yoshitsune's son just because of how much he feared losing his own power. That said they did got it right that Yoshitsune was way too loyal to his brother as he indeed kept sending letters to Yoritomo affirming so, but of course as per usual for Nasu (who wrote Ushi's scenarios) they changed Yoshitsune's reasons for being this way to "Ushiwakamaru didn't have proper human feelings". Honestly the historical Yoshitsune was already fine as the humble warrior general who masochistically insisted on being loyal. There was no need to play the "no grasp on human emotions" card yet again, which BTW they also played with Minamoto no Raikou (because of course they could not have the actual Raikou who was kind of villanous).
LeonGun8 isn’t raikou in fgo quite bigoted and genocidal against oni even though she half oni herself and her true class is saber which says that she’s merciless in this class

What I meant is more the fact Raikou was quite literally the bloodthirsty general and agent capable of doing anything, from invasions to murder, to ensure the continued dominance of his lord. This is FACT of his historical deeds, not the legendary deeds (which is where the oni enter the equation). And of course FGO changed Raikou from a ruthless general to a half-oni who loved his retainers like a mother and had no firm grasp on what wasnormal because of her half-oni predisposition. Basically, they blame her ruthlessness to her oni side and began the whole "mommy Raikou" crap.

I think they stated once that the gratuitous gender-bending is because the vast majority of famous/legendary figures are men (y'know, patriarchy) so they turned some of them into women to make the game less of a sausage-fest.
