Hi J! Nope, as this is already a very rare mirror dash cam (with Starvis 2), I don't expect we will see a dual Starvis 2 sensor mirror dash cam anytime soon. The only dash cam that has recently done this (and it reflects on it's price) is the Viofo A229 Pro. So we will likely see a few more dual Starvis 2 regular dash cams (if the market supports the extra cost) come out before we ever see a mirror dash cam with dual Starvis sensor. The rear sensor is Starvis IMX307. Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun Yes I just bought the A229 Plus (also Starvis2 front and rear) for one of my cars and am now shopping for my other car where I need a rearview mirror cam instead so I was hoping to find dual Starvis2's for it also :) But what you said makes sense on the cost. Thank you for the info, you really know your stuff!
@@JesseOsby Oh wow so the A229 Plus also has it, very cool thanks for the heads up. Viofo is really good dash cam based on the ones I have reviewed so far. And thanks man, yeah having reviewed over 70 dash cams now, you start to get familiar with what is out there in the marker but a this year we got some really good ones. There is another review coming for one that it's very cool, has one special feature that no other mirror dash cam has yet (once I get my hands on it I will test it out more but the prototype I was shown was very impressive) stay tuned. Cheers!
Hi M! Yes the video is fine on my vehicle, you can also see it for yourself during to the driving portion of the review (feel free to use the video chapters to jump to the section you want). And if you want to eliminate the straps, here is how that can be done ua-cam.com/video/TtjZ7rC_ncY/v-deo.html Cheers!
Alex ,sorry didn’t get to finish that last message but anyway I wanted to ask you if there is a FIT-DVR type plug for my 2004 suburban LT ? I DON’T SEEM TO FIND ONE . THANKS FOR YOUR TIME PS. LOVE YOUR CHANNEL 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you Jimmy! Ah yes, I placed the links to the adapter for Chevy in that video's description. Here it is if you need it amzn.to/3SemxdB The listing shows Suburban, however if you want to double check, your installer can confirm if your Suburban will support the adapter. Cheers!
Hi A! That depends on what you are looking for and you budget. The Gen 3 is newer and it's equipped with the latest Sony sensor but only time will tell how good it performs. The G900 has been around for some time so we know it's reliable. And there are more difference between them, here is the full review for the G900 ua-cam.com/video/eNK6ujrWWkA/v-deo.html so you can compare it to the Gen 3 Cheers!
Hi S! Ah unfortunately there concerns with potential back doors, loggers and other potential bad intentioned software inside many of the AI boxes out there (partially due to the high number of them coming from very small or unknow brands). If you do want to try one out I would wait for a large USA based company to release one (there may even be one out already, it may also track you to some degree but likely no to the level of others aftermarket AI boxes) Cheers!
LOL! I wish I could! Unfortunately I only have one which is will be used for future videos and long term testing. But I hope to be able to do giveaways at some point in the future soon, Cheers!
Hi S! Ah good question, the G840H and the D90 Gen 3 are very different mirror dash cams (and in what I consider separate categories, the G804H is a mid tier and the Gen 3 is flagship) Here is the full review so you can compare it against the G840H ua-cam.com/video/Jt4ZvczqRi4/v-deo.html and here is the full review for the G900 (flagship) ua-cam.com/video/eNK6ujrWWkA/v-deo.html so you can also compare it against the Gen 3 Cheers!
@@spencer6014 I think it's going to come down to what feature matters to you the most and your budget. The other thing I would say to consider when you compare the features of the Gen 3 to the G900 is that the Gen 3 is so new and the G900 has been out for sometime so we know it's reliable and has not had issues develop yet (but I will update this comment if something changes). So I always tell people that are ok with buying a new product that just came out just to be aware that we don't know it's track record and long term function (but you do get the latest in tech, just like any new tech, it may come with unknows and the joys of being a first adopter lol) But yeah only time will tell! Cheers!

Nice review as always..... 💯 👍
Thank you Musa!
Thanks this is very nice,im not sure yet if i want another mirror dash cam or just go with the Redtiger that you reviewed.
Thank you Rob!
Do you know if the rear camera is also upgraded to Starvis 2, or is it still the older Starvis?

The dashcam mounted that way (with straps) can be too shaky. Have you reviewed the actual footage?
