I luuuv Teddys version of this song that Chris Stapleton brought back to life ( I totally dig the live performance with Chris Stapleton and Justin Timberlake. ) The Original "Tennessee Whiskey" is a country song written by Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove. It was originally recorded by American country music artist David Allan Coe for his album of the same name Tennessee Whiskey, whose version peaked at number 77 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart in 1981. I think Chris Stapleton gave it more of the bluesy vibe and Teddy is following suit with his brand of that.
Atlanta's own Teddy Swims aka Jaten Dimsdale was local favorite known for covering popular artists from every genre of music. This song would be considered Country. He's amazing.
