You have practically built a brand new vessel. Back whe you popped up in my feed as a suggestion video I thought you would beat me to the water. On my 10th vessel now and your still putting hundreds of hours in on Athena. Your WIFE should always be happy in there.
I would test the voltage on that panel just to make sure everything is fine before you can't return it.
The white paint really brightens up the place and the layout becomes clear for the head space and shower. Very nice..

As someone who has remodeled five homes while living in them you have got your priority's right getting the head and stateroom done first, surprisingly my wife doesn't mind going out for dinner as much as going out to use the bathroom : ].

You will need regular access to the poop tank. Scale will build up on the inside, fall off and block the outlet and other blockages will need clearing

A MPPT controller per panel is the absolute best way to go. Great choice.
After you finish priming take your glasses off before you look at it to be surprised how much better it appears.
The amount of work you put in is absolutely amazing
I like the idea of the shower drain, but i have reservations that it does not contain a hair trap, it would not matter with just yourself Madds, as i can see you are like me, a bit thin on top, but where Ava is concerned the drain will block up in no time, my wife is testament to that.
I mentioned this before. I think he said something about installing some kind of adhoc screen, which makes me think he hasn't actually dealt with long hair and plumbing before. Which of course he doesn't look like it's a common issue for him. Worse though, the cockpit drain he chose looks like the cross bars will block inserting most common hair stoppers. I hope he at least packs a couple of drain zippers.
Mads mentioned double hair traps if I remember correctly. He is not the kind of man to forget something like this.

Vinylester putty is the quickest way to fix pinholes in the fairing before or during the paint process. Mizlx up the tiniest batches and apply, even between paint layers if a flaw is found. Sanding within 30 minutes of application and painting again immediately after. The stuff pretty cures.faster than you can work. 3M sells it and it is ridiculously expensive but a pint jar is nearly a lifetime's supply.
I would be thinking of a wall as only being wood thick with glass on both sides: wood plug, two halves filled with foam after glassed in: and two wood walls, glassed on both sides, with co suit through it, filled with foam. The latter is strongest & most quiet.

You are coming along wonderful, really looking good. One thing to consider with the solar set up is that solar controllers USE POWER AT NIGHT well in the day too [ consuming 48 amp\hr instead of 12 amp\hr each and every day ] and having only one is a HUGE benefit, as it is more efficiant when run close to max than at min power. just keep the others as spares. Running the panels in parellel will still prevent any shading from taking them all out, and the greater current flow will keep line loss at the minimum. That panel with the scratch is fine it is limited to the frame only, cosmetic and can be hidden when butted up to another panel. CHEERS Steve h.

You might want to put a chain plate kind of support under the life raft cradle. They tend to take a lot of stress in storm situations. I've seen a lot of them rip away. Frankly, I don't like those cradles. You could build a half depth recessed area for the life raft container, then put locking straps (shaped metal bars) over the top. It wil interfere less with your sight lines and be more secure.

Regarding the solar panel. At very least take pictures, notify the carrier of possible concealed damage (noted on the bill of lading), notify the distributor and/or manufacturer of the superficial damage that could be more extensive. CYA in other words. Here in the states we have ten days to notes possible concealed damage on the BOL.

The little pen holds the stuff you're talking about total boat is a brand total fare is their faring compound I have never had penholes with that it works really good and Sam's better than anything I've found

There should be two tanks, The poop tank is called the Black water tank and the sink & shower holding tank is called gray water tank. Unless you are pumping out the gray water when used.

Holy hell man! 4 mppt chargers is insane, lol. It really comes down to how your array is set up, parallel or series when concerned with shading. I do love victron though. Hands down the best customer service experience I've ever had.
It was interesting to see that you went with the same plan as we did buy planning a charge controller for each panel. I am trying to decide if I should continue with my plan to do the same for shading reasons or if I should go for higher voltage. I am realizing that if I stick with the panel voltage I will lose some output potential during low light scenarios because of the low voltage from each panel, being only 28v. I understand that 20v over battery voltage is recommended for the best efficiency which would suggest wiring two of the panels in series because they are exactly the same. I wonder if the built in diodes would prevent output loss from one panel being shaded. We’ll need as much energy as we can get from the few panels we have to make our needs match the supply and storage we have room for. I have already bought our charge controllers; but now I am giving it more thought as I get closer to having my articulating pedestals built.
I wonder if any of you have considered this same thought.
After doing some more homework, I think we are on the right track going with multiple charge controllers for maximum efficiency when it comes to shading. It’s more expensive, but with the Cerbo GX helping the controllers work together through the whole charge cycle there may not currently be a better way to get every watt possible out of a given array of panels.
@@GeorgeIvanPare I don't know man. I manage just well with two LG 330w high efficiency panels and a victron Mppt 75/150 charging a 3x100AH LiPo bank. All in parallel. Shading isn't a problem even with dust. If you were running a 1kw+ array then I'd could see two controllers but in all honesty for the weight and cost its not worth it. I'd rather buy one more battery than another controller.
I think your making amazing progress at a very high spec level but might it be easier to rent a holiday apartment or something similar when Ava arrives just for a couple of weeks or so

I’m installing a Mark Grasser 250 amp alternator with a WakeSpeed 500 regulator. WakeSpeed is working with Victron and has a new download that will interface perfectly with my Victron system. Seems to be working flawlessly. Can’t wait to see yours! Best of luck and thanks for all the vids. Quite inspirational.

Consider putting the shower controls not under the shower head. Back wall side wall,away from the water

Great progress on the head Mads. I know Ava is in constant contact with you and I will put money on the fact that when she arrives, the first thing she will do (after hugging and kisses) is put on her work clothes and jump into work. She is just that kind of lady. Take care, keep forging on.
OMG OTVBA! You are working lightning quick but will it be quick enough? The tension builds and anxiety rises will Mads finish all need to do or will Ava take one look and book into a hotel? Tune in next week to find out if it was a Tadaah week or is Mads in the poop tank?
If that's an aluminum frame panel you should be fine. If it's steel, you may want to paint some zinc passivation paint on the scratch. The panel itself should be fine.

I wonder about the structural efficiency of your thickened epoxy/chopped fibreglass plugs. Even though you're planning to use supersized washers on the inside, they're going to need to bear against something more structural than balsa. I'm guessing that there is a layer of fibreglass on the inside of that balsa core for the supersized bolts to bear against, but is this fibreglass strong enough to anchor the life raft bolts? If the supersized washers are bearing against the plugs, you will be relying on the shear strength between the plug and the balsa.
