Hmmmm...you tube must have been reading my mind today. I was looking at my paper roll stash earlier today wondering what to do with them and voila...your video came up 😊 Thank you for another wonderful video, Dragana❣ Much love from Ohio, USA. 💖
I'm glad you liked the idea! Oh, we tend to save so much stuff, don't we? I got to the point of having to either move my studio to a bigger room or start throwing things away 🤣
@@Saacibo I just spent about 6 months re-organizing and PURGING stuff from my studio..."If there's no room for it it's gotta go". I keep sneaking K-rap back in there 🦀🤦🏻♀.
Ahh! I unrolled mine and they were so difficult to work with. Ding Ding! Thank you for outside the roll here for me! LOL I had such a big laugh at myself!
You're very welcome! I'm glad you found it helpful! First time I've tried to use them I had the same issue. They just wouldn't stay flat, not even after leaving them underneath a heavy book for a month. 😊 Thank you so much for watching ❤️😊
Absolutely love them D, something else to add to my "to try" list 💜💜💜 I did something similar for Christmas ornaments for the family this year, although I was sick during the holidays so they didn't get them till the end of January, lol. 😊 I sprayed with an alcohol/water mix, then put through the Sizzix to flatten the tube. I then cut them open to look like a mini file folder, covered with book page and embossed with a snowflake folder. Added some embellishments, and yep, turned out really cute. Thanks for all the inspiration, love all your ideas!!!
Don't use your metal shim on top of the cutting die. Place it either 'under one of the cutting plates or on top of the cutting plate. It will preserve the metal shim and accomplish what it is designed to do. Have a great day! I enjoyed the video. Great ideas.
Now I know at least why I hoarded millions of paper/toiletrolls 😅 thank you Dragana for this great tutorial. Because of you my rolls are not laying in the box anymore 😊 your cards are looking BEAUTIFUL 🧡🧡🧡
Thank you so much Steffi! I'm really glad you liked the video. I keep collecting and hoarding, then I try to use them up, but more keep coming 🤣. I have to work faster 😊❤️
If you give your cardstock (whatever that might be) a very very light misting of water on both sides you'll get a deeper emboss. You can actually do this with toilet paper too -- good quality toilet paper :)
Amazing work ! Draga Dragana toliko mi je drago što nisam jedina koja embosira role, meni se sviđa i samo embosirani, natur izgled ali gledajući tebe kako ih bojanjem pretvaraš u nešto tako lijepo me oduševilo...hvala na svemu❤
I love watching your videos. Your voice is soft and relaxing. The time you take to go throw the process and not rush is wonderful. Thank you for sharing your creativity and ideas... you are so inspirational.
These are beautiful! I don't have guilding wax, so I just use metallic acrylic paint. You just have to make sure you use a little at a time, and be sure there aren't any globs on your finger before putting it against the paper. Also, you can use acrylic metallic with dry brushing over the textures 😊 I love your videos ❤
Thank you so much! Using metallic acrylics with dry brush is a great substitute for gilding wax. Sometimes, I use a piece of dry sponge to apply metallic acrylics, gives me more control than using my fingers 😊❤️
Really cool idea! I sometimes find that turning your large rectangle die on an angle helps it cut better and more smoothly through the big shot. Thank you for sharing, I forget how beautiful gilding waxes can make a project.
Would love to see a similar project for those of us who don't have the fancy toys! lol I have no idea how I would do these without an embosser and all the cutting and dying. I think you could make quite vintage style ones if you just used the paper as is? Have you done that too?
Thank you so much for the suggestion! I will think about it some more and try to find the best way to make them without fancy equipment. I think they would look very nice without embossing or die cutting.
OMG!! I have got to find some of that paste. My grandaughter's name is Cadence. She'd get such a kick out of that. I have no idea where I'll find it in the US but....... I gotta have it. 😀
I’ve seen some being sold on Etsy not long ago. I couldn’t find it on Amazon. It’s a Turkish brand I believe, and they have amazing range of craft products 😊 Here’s the link to their website. I don’t know if they ship globally cadenceboya.com/en/
I am so glad that I found your channel. You do an excellent job of showing the technique, making it feel like it can be done successfully! Thanks again for sharing you gifts and talents..
Thank you for a lovely tutorial, I love this. They are beautiful and gorgeous colours. I must try this, it's a great idea. I'm new to your videos, and I'm so glad I found you on here. Have a lovely week ahead. Thank you again, Val xx
These are really cool and the background, from my view, it looks like metal. Going to have to try making some. I’m finding your videos to be so relaxing and have enjoyed them so much.💕
Hi Dragana, I've been your videos in loop this afternoon/evening while I'm working. Lol! Wondering what Sizzix machine model you have. Is it the Big Shot or Big Shot Plus?
Hi Priscella, thank you so much for watching. I hope you enjoy the content. I used Big Shot, the smaller one, but I am thinking of getting the Big Shot Plus. 😊❤️
Can you tell me where you got the stamping platform from please? I’m from Australia and the Misti costs an arm and a leg with shipping, this stamping tool looks perfect if it’s available in Australia. Thank you 👍✌️🙏❤️✨
Hi! I bought it from an online store called craftonline. Here's the link to the stamping platform www.craftonline.com.au/collections/all/products/stampmaster-precision-stamping-tool 😊❤️
Briefly running an iron over a toilet paper roll is not going to disinfect it, if there was something on it to be concerned about in the first place. Simply claiming this to be true without any evidence is not helpful for your audience.
I love your videos! You are very creative and your soft voice is also relaxing. Thank you for sharing your ideas and techniques! 😊❤
You're very welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you so much for watching and for your kind comment ❤️😊
I saved a few of these, thinking they could be used in JJ, but had no ideas. Then suddenly your channel popps up showing how to use them. Thanks.
You’re welcome! Glad you like them! Thanks for watching 😊❤️
Very interesting video I'm going to try this

I absolutely must get myself some gilding wax- such beautiful results. This is great fun... one more thing to start saving 😂

How did I miss this for a whole year??
I keep my “dirty” cutting plates to add texture and tiny bits to Cardstock’s, both plain and self decorated.

You can also use old magazine pictures that look cute and stain them into the cardboard as well so it looks like it was not glued on.
Love that idea! I might try some time. Thank you 😊
Such an incredibly creative use for tp rolls!

Your dyed papers at 33 minutes (when you're going to back the openings) are so smooth! Did you iron them?
I usually don’t iron them. I tend to stack them up and put a heavy book over and keep them like that. 😊
You are truly an amazing artist and tutor, with the most beautiful, innovative ideas, you made my day, thank you, can't wait for your next video xx

I used silicone stamps. I got them from AliExpress a few years ago 😊

Thanks for the feedback. Would spraying disinfectant and then ironing work better?
She did spray them with hand sanitizer!
