I live with this Jewish man from Brooklyn and we like your videos..and weird sense of humor. As we are currently eating dunkaroos. ..listening to doja cat and smoking some doobies.
It was so cool to see you did a video on Dean street! That’s around my job! Greatest bank robber story was great! Always, VERY interesting content. Thanks again for the great way you tell us the story of the history. This is what keeps us watching. That’s what I believe, anyway. 😁✨✨
Your knowledge of New York is amazing every time you mention a book or a movie or anything I’ll literally go online either purchase the book or I watch the movie and I’m just very very glad that I ran into you and because of you I plan my trip to New York and I went to all the places pretty much not everything but the main attractions of New York And I just wanted to thank you for that Please shave your beard you’re very handsome guy
OMG you HAVE to watch Bridge of Spies (Tom Hanks) where Rudolph Able is traded for for Powers. Really good movie. PLUS we saw Steven Spielberg filming this movie in my neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights.
You forgot to cover the site of the Palm Sunday Massacre of April 1984. That was the worst mass murder in NYC history before 9/11. Two women, Two Teens, six children, and one unborn child were murdered by deranged gunman high on cocaine. There was one survivor, a little girl, who was later adopted by the officer who rescued her from the murder site. Hope you cover it in a future video.
22:49 - "3 collisions, none in the US" 1978 a Boeing 727 collided with a Cessna 172 over San Diego killing 135 plus the 2 Cessna occupants and 7 on the ground
Yes Tom a wu tang reference 19:34 thank you i knew was a true New Yorker :) Some say Wu tang clan forever i say Subbed forever hahaha but can you do one next time ???
Good and mostly accurate on Willy Sutton. First, we lived at 542 Dean Street (between 6th and Carlton). As freshman in HS my brother and I saw Willy Sutton playings cards with a group on the black. We told out Uncle who was a Federal agent and he reported but since it came from 12 olds, it was ignored. He was told no way was Sutton living in Brooklyn. Shortly after that he was spotted on a subway train by Arnold Schuster who followed him off the subway train when he got off at Bergan Street across from the 78Pct police station. Schuster told two Policemen. The Policemen took credit for the sighting and tried to bypass Schuster and were on every newspaper front page. Arnold Schuster then came forward and was given credit. Sadly that led to his murder. That neighborhood of Brooklyn, known then as either Downtown, Park Slope. It is now known as Prospect Heights. Many of the neighborhoods in downtown Brooklyn have been invented in the last 25/30 years. Clinton Hill, Cobble Hills, Carroll Gardens, known as Red Hook, South Brooklyn mostly. Thank you for your Vlogs. Your sense of humor is unique. More on Brooklyn, which has played an huge part in US history. The list of Brooklyn born is staggering. Several High Schools in Brooklyn, James, Madison, Abraham Lincoln in particular have produced an amazing list of alumni. Blessings. Happy Easter
I remember a while back you did a video of Bushwick/ knickerbocker with action kid. Can you do another video of Maria Hernandez park and Knickerbocker?
When he said he was probably smokin a doobie it reminded me of the movie Chuck And Larry. Hey I found what started the fire a good ol fashioned doobie. Hey brother thats my weed 😅
Sad but interesting stories. You always make them so entertaining and fun even when they are tragic. Every time you slide down a handrail I can't help but wonder how many germs you are picking up on your pants. lol I don't even touch handrails. Okay, I admit I'm a bit of a germaphobe. lol
@@annchambers5739 I didn't say I didn't like it. It's just that my mind starts imagining the thousands of people that have held onto the handrails and who knows where their hands have previously been. It conjures all sorts of wild imaginings! lol
I adore how you include Eric ! And he is devoted to you obviously
I'm sure Eric appreciates the fact that you never once mention The Matrix
THIS HAHAHAHAHAHA
Hey Tom, great content. Idea for a series: bygone NY nightlife spots. The Stork Club, Studio 54, CBGB, the Tunnel, less known spots, etc.
Tommy D is the bright side of NYC!

Great video as usual.
I saw the wreckage. I lived in Brooklyn as a kid. When that plane was going down, it blew my mother against a building. It was an incredible sad time.
Thank you for your tour.
A plane also crashed in Far Rockaway. 300 people died and it happened a month after 9/11 which was scary.
Ironic that Im finally getting to this video, and some dark shit happened today there
What
@@Camionrouge I think that was the day NYC had that Subway shooting if I'm not mistaken
@@Moncriefs that’s scary 😦
It was fun! You forgot to mention that Tom Hanks captured Rudolf Hess; or is that a Dark Side parallel universe? Here's to Eric 👍
Thank you. Used your H & M info over the weekend!

Regarding all those ppl running through the picture... What kind of New Yorker are you Tom? What happened to "Hey! I am working here!"
He is originally from Nicargouia

Does it mean being shot in the eye a message that "we're watching" while in the mouth "rat". What does being shot in the stomach mean?
Mi pana Tom! … i hope one day i can go visit you hermano ! … saludos desde Austin Tejas !
Tom ya gotta do a Greenwood Cemetery video
Awesome job! You need to do a Hoboken tour!
Eric recommended the new Matrix movie a while back and Tom never brought it up today?

Well in defense of Francis Gary Powers, the first crash wasn't his fault, getting hit by a Russian missile will do that
