Brad, the Lobo is a great machine! I have found many tiny nuggets and flakes in the 1-2 GRAIN size at 2-4 inches. The secret is to practice and know your machine. Lobo's auto Ground Balance and tracking is brilliant for ease of operation. My settings for gold are: normal soil setting unless ground is too hot then go Alkali, sensitivity as high as ground will allow for smooth threshold sound, threshold just audible and all metal mode only. Discriminate=loss of small gold.
Brad, also keep the coil on the ground and sweep slowly. Practice with lead sinker or lead shot as it sounds same as gold-- low , mellow tone! If your in gold bearing ground you will find gold with the Lobo. I love mine! Happy hunting
What is the extra white rod running the length of your gold bug? I see the coil wire but there is something extra there on the left side. Nice hoe down tool!
what is the white thing running along your detector shaft????? i jus got a gold bug2. great vids jus found you 2day and watching all your vids. jamrs in Idaho
The GB2 runs 71 khz. I do understand that your GB2 has a great advantage against the Tesoro Lobo Supertraq in finding them tiny nuggets. I bought a T.L supertraq about a year ago. It runs at 17.5 khz. I haven't found one piece of gold yet. Did I make a mistake? I live and hunt in Arizona pretty bad ground for detectors. Where do you hunt? I notice your running the small coil. I'm still running the stock 10 in. Elip. I was considering the 5.75 coil before I give up on the supertraq. G V any help?
