Only just discovered your channel through an Enfield owners group on Facebook .. I've just picked up my first bike, my late uncles 1994 Bullet 500 and will need a bit of TLC. Really enjoying the learning experience, and channels like this I think will be a massive help. Cheers!

I can see this vid being very useful for future owners. I've often thought it'd be nice to get an old Enfield but put of by the running repairs. Maybe this year I'll take the plunge! Thanks, as always VB and best wishes for the New Year! All the best, Ed

Well Done VB. Glad you reinstated it. Ignore the know-it-all's & desktop mechanics. 👌👍👍😉 I have the same carb on mine. I have no intentions of swapping it out for an Amal.

@@Volcanicbrown1878 thank you..I have drilled out the standard tap and the float needle valve. And increased the sealing washers in the fuel tap as well. It was working ok until I upped the main jet.

@noeldoran8884 It's a bit easier to get the air box off the bike first. For the sake of speed, I didn't want to spend time taking the seat off! but that depends on how the hose clip is oriented as to weather the seat has to come off or not. You might be lucky and find it is positioned so you can get at it around the tool box.
That's a good helpful video for people that have never stripped those carbs as this is quite a common problem these days Whats the breather pipe for on that inlet manifold adapter? Did any of those Enfield's have a vacuum tap?
@nickmarshall9192 It was to provide a bit of vacuum to a valve that opened in the exhaust downpipe, to let air into the exhaust as part of some emmision kit they fitted on the late ones. No Vacuum taps were ever fitted.
