Could you please advise me?
My Firestick remote won't let me turn down the sound on my television.
When installing the Firestick I had to turn up the volume to my required volume.
Unfortunately it went too loud and I tried to turn it down.
It wouldn't work.
And it has been the same since that day.

What does it need your credit card information for? I saw a video where they said they'll only take money if you're purchasing something but what if I'm not looking for any services to pay for and I just want to use what I already have? They're just having a card info on record for ? 👀
Great Question. I tried to find a way to activate it without a credit card and I could not. There might be a way I just could not find it. I researched on line and They said they don't use your credit card They just need it in case you purchase a movie. I agree they should not require a credit card it you don't plan on buying anything. Your not required to give your credit card information. They give you the option to set it up without a credit card. I set mine up without one.

2:22pm if I don't have the tv remote can I still install roku with their remote?
I have had a ROKU streaming stick for a year. Haven't used it in several months. I've redone all of the set-up steps again, and it's still giving me the "no signal, check in put". I have done that. No idea what I'm doing wrong.
Is the tv saying no signal check input. If its your tv you might have a bad hdmi port Try another hdmi port on your tv. make sure the roku stick is getting enough power. is the light on the stick. Try plugging in another power cord micro usb cable and try a different power sources like a phone charger you plug you phone into. Let me know if this does not help and we can try some other things.
I cannot get my remote to pair doing exactly what you did. I've tried unplugging the Roku power source and taking the batteries out of the remote. I'm stuck on the pair screen. Help!
Sorry to hear this. Make sure the batteries are in there correct. Both Positive + sides have to be up toward the top of the remote. That is a little different than we are used too. Most remotes one is one way and the other battery is the opposite way. If that is not it. there is a little button in the battery tray area just below where you put the batteries. try pressing this button when the pairing process is ready or you might have to hold the button for a bit. Let me know how it goes.

Do you have to have a cable service hooked up (ie Direct TV, Spectrum, Dish) to use these Roku Sticks and stream content? Or do you just need to have an internet/WiFi connection? I want to get rid of a Direct TV service that is costing me over $160.00 per month. I'm the only person who watches the Direct TV and I'm ready to cancel it because it's just gotten too expensive -- if I can just use my internet/WiFi connection to stream the few channels that I currently watch on my Direct TV.

Thanks for watching and GREAT Question!!! You do not need a Cable Service Subscription. You can get rid of Directv and save a bunch of money. You will need Internet service in your house that has WiFI. With the Roku Stick you will now have access to lots of Channels example NETFLIX, HULU, PRIME VIDEO, CBS, ABC STREAMING. Roku does have some free content on some channels but its kinda limited. So for the Good content example NETFLIX, HULU HBO, SHOWTIME, you will now need to pay them to stream there contact with a monthly fee for each channel. If you subscribe to a bunch of channels this can really add up. Then nice thing is you can pay by the month and cancel at any time. So pay the Netflix subscription and watch a bunch of there stuff and then drop it and do someone else's channel like Hulu or HBO for a month and drop them. This is nice because you will run out of things to watch sometimes. Now for the ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX channels on Roku, some of them want to know if you have a cable service and some don't, You can watch some shows, but most will streamed a day or week later than when it was show on live tv. and you will have there commercials to watch when you are using there channel.

It comes with a power supply (brick) that you plug into an outlet, then you can get your usb power from it.
I don't understand, I didn't have to give up my credit card information, when I set my Roku channels up, of course I didn't have the Roku stick. So I'm trying to figure out having a stick and not having one? What's the benefit?

Great Question. The only thing you might need the tvs remote is just to change the input on the TV. Most tvs have a way to change the HDMI input on the side of the TV so you don't really need the TV remote. Thanks for Watching and your question will help someone who has the same question.
Does it matter what speed internet you have?
Yes is you if you really slow internet it might not work at all. If its slow it might show a real low definition version of your movie or whatever it is you are streaming. The faster the internet you have the higher quality and better the picture will work. I have 11Mbs download speed over DSL phone line and it works ok. thanks for asking and let me know if you have any more questions.
If you're using your internet yes you'd need proper internet. How it operates is on the connection you have. Same like your phone and everything else that uses internet.

Yes, just use your tv to change the HDMI input back to the Cable TV input, you can change it back and forth as much as you want.
My remote doesn’t have a pairing button. I’m having trouble on what to do. I even tried using the app but coming up with no luck.
Wow that is not good. maybe take the batteries out of the remote, unplug the stick. when you plug the stick back in do a full reset by pressing the button on the stick. then put the batteries in the remote. Let me know how it goes.
Mine just keeps flashing on the remote when I'm trying to pair remote. All it does is flashing the green button on back of remote idk why..
Sorry to hear you are having problems. Try to unplug it and remove the batteries from the remote. I hope that helps. try pressing the ok button too.
I did now the only thing on my screen is roku enhanced remote pairing idk what that means and it has a roku remote picture and a circle circling. I hope that's a good sign.
Since I've been stuck on pairing for about 5hrs now. I dont want to mess with it or press a wrong button and it restarts everything again.

Yeah that is a bummer, I don't know why they need your credit card but they do.

I get "No signal" error for the HDMI port the Roku in plugged into and never get Roku setup. It is obvious Roku repackaged returned defective devices. There is no support from Roku. Don't buy any Roku devices.
