Used to own this double album, and I don't think anything in 50 years of listening to music has given such concentrated pleasure, and continues to give it.

Simply glorious from start to finish. Imagine being in the audience at the theatre in 1888 for the first performance and being treated to this. Thank goodness for You Tube as works like this are never heard on mainstream radio.

Some of the most elegant, while at the same time vibrant (in a restrained way), scoring to be heard anywhere. Music that is utterly gorgeous! I get a dose of Dennis's tingle factor at 3:59-5:27, "L'Hiver S'Enfuit" and the final choral/orchestral part....
