I would occasionally go camping out there with my father back in the day before he passed. The serenity that comes with being out in the desert is something I will carry with me forever and I have my father to thank for showing me such an amazing spot.
Thank you Eric.. It makes my day when your next vid comes up. Thank you for your honesty and for sharing your life..good and bad.. Huge ehugs to you and Jax.. Peace and prosperity to you in the coming year.. Love from tasmania..
I like seeing you traveling with someone rather than being alone...even though I know you love the nomadic life...there is safety in numbers...be safe...and good luck on your tooth.
Thanks Eric, another must go there for me. So beautiful! This is typical of where your channel is so informative when you show us these neat places. Thanks again Eric.
Love this video, especially the beginning. Beautiful country. I lived in Vegas for 10 years, and some people just cannot see the beauty of the desert. You should see it in the springtime up around Valley of Fire..Wild flowers every where..
OMG Eric, you managed to create a visual masterpiece at the beginning. I didn't want it to end. You took something ordinary and made it extraordinary. The music was perfect.
As others have mentioned , and Joey showed you ;), the switch is in the door latch. The wiring goes through the door jamb and is a common point where the wiring can break/partially break. Most likely the issue with yours. I'm a GM technician and have repaired tons of door wiring issues in the door jamb.
Nice job Joey! I have a couple of those bad on my suburban, but it doesn't cause the problems you are having. It just doesn't turn on the dome light when the door is opened.
The sunset views are beautiful...thank you for sharing info on the Saguaro Cactus and your location. On 01/04/18 in Central FL where the tourist bureau lies..it was between 25-30' at 9:30 am..Supposedly FL is one of the 'warm' states...Enjoy the temps where you are.
I am glad I didn't comment until the end of the vlog because what Joey told you to do is what I was going to tell you to do. Switches/ sensors are in my door latches in my truck also. Cool, Jim
Wow, Gorgeous shots of the desert. I've never seen Cactus with appendages, darn neat place there. Great getting RV Joey in on your "fix it" clip. Shes always a fun watch. You guys stay safe... Ill be looking for y'all at the RTR (via you tube video).. Thanks for sharing Eric🤗👍
Eric fantastic opening you are getting so good at doing theses now excellent vlog love your work keep it up my husband and I always look forward to watching you glad to see your getting the subs you deserve. Hugs to Jax
Well done Eric, I've been subscribed from when you started while still in collage. Its great to see how far you have come. From the quality of your videos and success of living the nomadic RV life. You have learned much and have taught us much at the same time. Not only the good , but the not so good , ups and downs of living full time. Thanks for sharing a small part of your life with us. I believe it is the most close videos of living this life. Well done.... Its great to see the many beautiful and interesting places you share with us. I hope you keep making videos for a long time. They are definitely interesting, funny, happy , sad, educational and fun to watch. Be safe and careful out there ...
Beautiful opening shot Eric! Glamtastic! Love all the Cacti. Thanks for the educational tip. Had no idea they are only located in certain areas of the SW. Looks like you've got a beautiful spot. Thanks for sharing! Peace! 👍😀🌈🌈
Wow... I’d say you have mastered editing! What an absolutely gorgeous time lapse of the stars and sunrise! I must say I am enjoying your videos more and more... I love the kitschy things you find along the way and the historical narrative you give... not too much... just enough to whet the curiosity and make one add the pin to their map of things to see. You also seem so much more relaxed and contentedly happy... it’s really a nice thing to see! Also great to see Joey out and enjoying life as well ! Happy Trails Eric and of course Jax too!
Hi Eric! I have been growing one from a tiny cutting i bought on ebay.. just a little cut off piece. It took the first year just to grow roots and then it finally grew about a 1/4 inch! Lol, it is now a whopping 4 inches tall! So seeing those giants is unreal to me. I would think they are even older than that. Wowza!
Constellation Canis Majoris (the Big Dogg!) and the brightest star Sirius (0.28) again chasing Orion the Hunter (0.25) up into the night sky! I really love that shot!! Thanks again Eric!
Another good video as always! Nice to see Jax. I love those cactuses. They are also in Tucson. I've been enjoying seeing them. Looking forward to possibly seeing you and the gang at RTR.
Yay, Joey with a butter knife to the rescue!!!! Lol! My husband gets upset with me because I use butter knives for tools. I was thinking it was a computer sensor. We had a jeep that the service engine soon light came on every morning it was under 40 degrees because the tires had computer sensors said they were low on air. The car was brand new, but every time! Here I am at 3am looking at my tires and hoping they don't go flat on my trip of 50 miles! I got rid of that darn car fast! Hope you get it figured out!!
Go into Phoenix to I beleive it is Cactus Road to the Church's Chicken there, and see the largest Saguaro cactus I have ever seen in my life - it is HUGE! It is very beautiful. I have a picture of it somewhere (on another phone most likely). The lady in the place that I was talking to and pointed it out to me (I alomost missed it!) says that she thinks that Cactus Road got it's name from that Cactus being there. She was raised there and told us that little history. I looked up 7410 W. Cactus Road Peoria AZ (near Phoenix) Thank you for sharing and God bless!
Cool video in the beginning. I used to have one of those cactuses in my front yard, when I lived in Phoenix. It was huge. Some alarms get activated when vehicle's battery voltage drops due to one of the lights being activated. You can remove the bulb temporarily or disable the dome light until you figure out what activates the dome light.
I always enjoy seeing those Saguaro Cactus, That is my favorite.. Great footage of the desert. I was about to suggest your Rv might be haunted LOL! then along comes Joey and knock that theory out of the park..Always look forward to your next adventure. Stay safe, be careful, and keep on rolling
Leave it to Joey to figure it out! Beautiful spot & I'm cool with the delayed videos - just glad you & Jax are ok after that Class A tried to take y'all out.
Never underestimate the ingenuity of a woman with a butter knife.
Steb Nalang 😂
RV Joey you are the top dog mechanic !
That's awesome of you and RV Joey camping together Eric.
I would occasionally go camping out there with my father back in the day before he passed. The serenity that comes with being out in the desert is something I will carry with me forever and I have my father to thank for showing me such an amazing spot.
Ha ha how could you not live your life without RV Joey Love you both
The time lapse scenes were the best! Love that a woman with a table knife found your problem.
I really love the editing on this particular video and that you highlighted the magestic Saguaro cactus!
The time lapse is beautiful. Thanks for the video.
Thank you Eric.. It makes my day when your next vid comes up. Thank you for your honesty and for sharing your life..good and bad.. Huge ehugs to you and Jax.. Peace and prosperity to you in the coming year.. Love from tasmania..
The footage at the beginning was just beautiful!

Eric, the switch is in the latch. Take a look at this. www.justanswer.com/chevy/5ybt9-chevy-express-3500-6-0l-the-dome-light-on-passenger-door.html
its basically a passive magnetic switch just like the magnetic alarms you can buy in the home security systems
We were just there! We were staying at the picacho koa but moved Into an rv park in Tucson to winter full-time. excellent video!
A Nomadic Fanatic Blessing...AWESOME..!!!!
Against all odds, I'm going to make it to the RTR with my old Tioga! I can't wait to meet you guys too.

That's how I work on things, too. Just press buttons until something happens. Good job Joey.
I've downloaded the manual for my van. I agreed with Joey. She's good!
Hi Eric! Thanks for all of the great videos. That would have perplexed me the same way.
I remember you saying it took a lot to film the fast motion edits but oh my how I love them!
