      @@MarkWildman I'd absolutely buy a long-sleeve t with "Do it more better" on the chest and your logo just under that or on a sleeve. Keep up the great content; Your "Why I Don't Meditate" video was really a gamechanger in my approach to kettlebells.

    Thanks Mark, this is just awesome. I'm trying to start up the Simple & Sinister protocol but seeing it from you explained in this video is just a 1000 times easier for me than trying to emulate pictures in a book. Also: I wish that they'd specify weights like you did in this video. I spent my savings on a bunch of kettlebells, not realizing I'd also need a lighter one for warming up and now I'm like: :-/
    Conclusion: I like your channel a lot more than learning from Pavel. I wish you'd give us full workouts too, because that's what gets me - I see all the exercises but I have no idea how much to do, and I need something simple. Getting myself to practice is a serious challenge for my willpower, and all the unclarity on what doable and effective training regimes are makes it so hard for me, especially coming from being fatigued a lot. Seeing beginner workouts start to finish (including all the warming up & prep) would be a godsend.
    Thanks for building this Library of Kettlebell Knowledge. It helps us all. And I'm greatful as f*ck.

    Thanks so much for this video. Since watching your vids, my kettlebell training has been so much more effective. This correct halo technique has made such a difference. I can feel my abdominals engaging when it's done correctly

    Love this exercise. Just learned to combine it with a lowering to one side and then a lunge. Felt like a corkscrew around my core. Heart rate took off. Mobility, strength, core work, and cardio in one shot: the Holy Grail of exercise.

    Love your videos man, so glad I found your channel. Bought a 35lbs kettlebell over 5 yrs ago and hadn’t touched in about 2 years up until a few weeks ago. Now it’s my home gym and I love it!! Trying to learn as much as I can from your vids and make sure I am doing the exercises right...or as close to it as I can.

    I have tried these in the past with the plates. It wasn't a good experience may be because of heavy weight or wrong form. I'll give a try again using kettlebells. Thanks for this video!!

    I love doing kettlebell halo for warm up and as an arm exercise, I use 8kg kettlebell( I'm a woman), and my arms have never looked better. Mark would you take into consideration making a video with few self defense exercises for woman ? Thank you, love what you do !

    Been doing this wrong for a while, nice to see a detailed video on the halos, side note I get a horrible popping sound in my shoulder when doing these, no pain though, I'm recovering from a shoulder injury, Is this movement good for shoulder recovery?

    Hi Mark, I'm finding your videos very informative thanks.
    Do you find with this exercise initially if there is a lot of clicking (without any pain) from the shoulder that in time this tends to decrease as the body better grooves the pattern? Or is there likely to always be some clicks?

    Start with palm away from you
    Elbows tight to body
    Keep arms in line with torso
    Bring hands down, thumb close to shirt
    Don't rest kettle bell on body
    90 degrees with arms
    Keep head still
    retract chin
    Shoulders down and back

    In this video I was able to easily discern when your where breathing in v breathing out. I know it would cost in post production but it would be very helpful if there were a gauge on the side of the frame indicating a breath in v a breath out.

      Or you could just listen! He does a pronounced out breath, on every move, even when demoing without a KB. Force of habit I guess.

    I’m new to weights in general and have watched a few videos of people doing this. Everyone else seems to keep their upper body really still and only use their arms but you move your body a lot as your arms move. Why is that and should I be moving my body too or just the arms? Thank you.

      I’m using the same technique for kettlebells, clubs, arc and maces. If you want to get up in weight with clubs, which is the best version of this, you have to add trunk rotation

    Would there be any problems if I do halos with a heavy-ish weight? I only have a 24 kg kettlebell and I am too poor to buy another. Ive been doing it so far without any issues but I am seeing a lot of people who advise against it for some reason

    In general these types of movements will cause shoulder problems on the long term. I would probably not advice this. Also it will need a warm up on its own.

      Really? Based on what? I'm 59 and have been doing them for over twenty years. In fact the this very movement has helped repair a soldier injury I sustained in the military. So please enlighten us with your information and not just opinion.

      I'm 62, and I've been doing halos as a warmup for a few years now with no problem whatsoever. It's a gentle exercise.

      @@PatrickSavalle I made no claims unlike you. Yes every bit of my evidence is anecdotal, never said it was not and I'm not giving "advice" without data other than my experience. You made blanket statements. And pardon me if what I have experienced for decades does not line up with something from Brazil. And after reading it I do not really see how it applies to this movement.
