Have you used star spangled banner story from Notgrass? Just wondered about your experiences with it? I'm trying to decide bw Masterbooks America's story or Notgrass 😅
@@KikiP-rb8no I haven’t used it because I didn’t discover Notgrass until recently but in looking at the samples online, I wish I would have used OSSS. It looks great! I’ve heard great things about MB also but haven’t used it. I don’t think you’re making a bad choice either way! Every time I see someone on social media ask about elementary American history, both of those are mentioned repeatedly. 😊
@@KikiP-rb8no I think that’s a great idea! Check out samples and let them give you feedback. That is one of the things I love about homeschool is involving my daughter in choosing the curriculum.
We tried their HBL this year and it didn’t work well right at this moment. BUT, I think there is a big possibility we will go back to it in a year or two. I think I maybe should have ordered a different level. 🤔 Regardless, I do LOVE their stuff and oh those readers. ❤️ I’m a big fan of Sonlight!! 😊

So it wasn't a complete fail but it definitely wasn't what I would call super successful. It was Apologia Botany. My next video which I plan to put out next week is going to go over my 4th grades successes and failures and I'll talk specifically about our experience with it. ☺

We love Sonlight. I use their History, Bible, Literature. I love teaching history through literature and I agree, their readers are amazing!

@@Making_Homeschool_Happen it didn’t work well for my older kids because they were on the younger age. Now I will be using B with my 3rd grader.
I hope it goes well!! I think when we get to maybe 6th or 7th, I’m going to give it another try! 😀
